The member's account was marked for potentially fraudulent and/or unauthorized activities based on quality control measures that the Survey Junkie system has in place. However, as an exception, the member was given a last chance to recover their account and continue benefiting from our services and they have since been able to continue taking surveys and redeeming their points. We would like to recommend them to be consistent with their answers, take more time to give quality answers and provide detailed and thorough responses.
We advise to follow the above given recommendations, as well as note that repeated offenses may result in additional flags which may put their account at risk of permanent suspension.Customer response

On Dec 17, I noticed my account had no ***********************, and there was a banner at top saying there was a problem with my account. Later that day, I received a reply, with Survey junkie saying my account has been permanently suspended because I was "tampering with links to bypass survey controls" (whatever that means). Which of course, I did not do (I have been a member for 4.5 years in good standing). I merely clicked on the links they provided, be it through the e-mails they send, their site, or their app. Therefore, they're either lying or they're the ones providing my surveys with tampered links. I of course pointed out to them that I did no such thing, and asked to explain what was going on. They replied back 2 days later (Dec 19), claiming I violated their ******************* and "no additional information can be provided on the matter." Why not? I have a right to know exactly what I allegedly did. How can they suspend me and not have information on it? Well its quite simple, really. They did this to kick me out to keep from having to pay me my redemptions. Clearly I've been redeeming too much from them. Now I cannot even redeem what I have rightfully, and legally, earned. Which is theft, plain and simple, and legally speaking. Not to mention, their wild, unfounded, and unsupported (by their own admittance) accusations are nothing but libel, defamation of character, character assassination, and misrepresentation of character. Survey Junkie must reinstate my account in full, credit me the ************************************************* their currently running boost program, and also compensate me for the days missed taking surveys, from their wrongful (self admittedly) suspension of my account.Business response

I am filing this complaint due to being unable to resolve an issue with Survey Junky. Within the past week, I have spent hours every day giving opinions and personal information to Survey Junky and their affiliates in exchange for a price agreed upon before taking the surveys. Today alone Ive spent 30 minutes on a 30 minute survey answering many questions, giving a lot of personal information and watching videos for 65 cents and did not get credited the promised amount. Also, survey junky promised 500 bonus points for completing surveys for 7 days in a row which I did. It has been 2 days of requesting the promised points and I have been ignored and the points remain owed to me per the promotion they displayed to me daily. I am requesting the 565 points credited to my account.Business response

Survey Junkie is a safe and secure website, trusted by millions of members who take surveys and redeem on a daily basis. This is also highlighted by the fact that the member has already redeemed over $116 since joining Survey Junkie a month ago. Please note that though it can be disappointing, getting disqualified or terminated from surveys is a common occurrence and a part of survey taking throughout the survey industry. It is possible that during the survey, as the survey providers were gathering information, they determined the member was not the kind of participant they were looking for, so they terminated the survey. This can happen at any point in a survey, regardless of how much is completed. Please note that Survey Junkie has no say in members getting disqualified or terminated from a survey and it is up to the sole discretion of the survey providers. With that being said, we want to reiterate that we value the efforts of our members and we are committed to working with third-party survey providers to constantly improve the survey-taking experience for members. Regarding the 500 points for the promo, the member will be paid out the funds once the promo ends on December 24.Initial Complaint

I joined "Survey Junkie" a few months ago. My email was immediately verified and I was given access to the confidential information of High End companies who trusted "Survey Junkie" to properly vet the people they "hired". As repeatedly mentioned here I wasted a lot of time and lost a lot of money due to "glitches" and not being paid out on fully completed surveys. I stopped contacting **************** about the lost points, explained the reason why the survey didn't work as it happened and moved on. My son is saving for a toy (we do the surveys together) on ****** and we would cash out at every $5 we made through "Survey Junkie". We cashed out 30 times, receiving a total of 30 $5 cards but we decided to go for $10 yesterday and when I went to cash out they refused this 31ST time, saying I had to show my legal, government ID in order to cash out the $10. and the two bonuses of $5 coming to me. When I explained to them that my husband's work prevented me from giving them that information but that I would gladly verify by phone as it is offered on thier websight they declined, saying I suddenly needed to show my ID or I would not get paid. I find it alarming for the companies that trust them that my account is still open and they are continuing to send me surveys with the confidential information from these businesses. Essentially, Survey Junkie trusts me with the deeply private contents from very well known brands but suddenly don't trust me enough to cash me out for the 31RST time because I asked for $10 that I earned instead of $5? I feel terrible for the businesses they represent but also for my son, who helped earned that $10 and those bonuses. Had "Survey Junkie" told me when I first signed up I would have to show ID I would not have. Instead they verified me by email, gave me over $150 in cash outs, then decided to rip me off like they've done to so many others when they owed me more than $5. They are scam *********** want the money I earned.Business response

In order to improve the security of Survey Junkie and its members, we are introducing a new process of verification which is Photo ID verification, which will be a one-time verification tool for our panelists. As a quality and verification measurement tool this might be required at any point of the membership, in order to additionally:
a) verify the account (regardless of previous verification statuses)
b) to exclude the chance of the account being compromised
c) monitor the quality of provided information (honest and accurate information about themselves and all survey questions to the best of their ability)
This method is used extensively in the market research industry for security and quality purposes. Again, we would like to emphasize that this is a one-time verification check that users will not have to repeat over the lifetime of their account. However, as an exception, since the member refused passing Photo ID verification, we have tried calling them in order to complete account verification via phone call. We have since successfully verified their account and the member has since been able to continue taking surveys and redeeming their points.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:First of all I did not "refuse" to identify myself. I was never given the information that I would ever have to or else I never would have signed up and cashed out 30 different times "unverified " until they owed me more than $5 and suddenly "needed" my ID.
They did not "reach out several times via phone", they called exactly once and I answered, gave them the information they needed to verify my information and was able to cash out and continue earning but it took several emails, poor reviews and reaching out to the BBB before they finally did place that single call to me.
I was so happy to close this complaint with thanks to you but they have since refused to make good on points I earned during a challenge that should have been delivered to me three days ago and every time I reach out to them I get the same exact cut and pasted response.
Between not being paid for fully finished high point surveys, suddenly springing the need for Government ID on people a and repeatedly holding hard won earnings Survey Junkie has made it very clear to me that they really, really don't enjoy paying people the money they are owed and because of this I cannot in good conscience call the matter resolved.
Sincerely,
******* ******Business response

Because I do not use nor have a ****** account, when I reached the $50+ pay-out point and tried to redeem my points, low and behold these other options no longer existed to Canadians.
To my utter dismay, when I tried to reach out regarding my situation, I was told ****** or nothing. This was not what was originally disclosed when I signed up, as I would never have began doing these surveys without having or the intent on having a ****** account.
Also, I find it disconcerting that after finding a minimum or 2-3 emails a day from Survey Junkie for months and months, as soon as I contacted Survey Junkie customer service these emails completely stopped. Hmmm...how odd!!

I signed up for then Survey Junkie to earn extra money doing their online surveys. I earned 10+ dollars in November2024. I went to sign out and asked that my funds be sent to my VERIFIED email address via a virtual **** card. The site then said I have to pass a ID verification test through a third party provider. My ID had expired and i am handicapped and can't get to the *** to renew it. I explained to the customer support team. They wrote back for me to do the verification again and notify them when I completed it. I was unable to verify again but there site would not allow it. I contacted customer support and they said to try it again after 24hrs. This still didn't work. I contacted customer support and now they said they permanently suspended my account for unauthorized activity.I am reporting this company as a SCAM preying on ********** people trying to earn extra money to put food on the table. They scam you on taking survey's which they get paid for and won't pay out what they owe to their customers.I have done *********************** with other companies who never asked to verify your identity with no issues because they verify your email address. This ID verification is just a way for the company to block you and not pay what they owe.Business response

Survey Junkie is a safe and secure website, trusted by millions of members who take surveys and redeem on a daily basis. That being said, the panelist's account has been permanently suspended due to unauthorized use of the Survey Junkie Services, which is a violation of the Survey Junkie Terms and Conditions, specifically they failed to pass Photo ID Verification, which is a one time verification tool for our panelists. Survey Junkie reserves the right to rescind a panel membership and refuse to provide the Services at any time for any fraudulent activities. That being said, even though members are deemed ineligible from redeeming points for any violation of the Survey Junkie Terms and Conditions, as an exception, we have allowed the member to redeem all of their final rewards.Initial Complaint

I have been completing surveys for Survey Junkie. I completed enough surveys for $10.04. When I tried to redeem, the site stated I needed to verify my identity. I had already done this before, and they said it was a one-time only requirement. I sent in my identify verification (driver's license and a selfie). Shortly after, ********************** said my account was disabled because of fraud. I emailed them, asking what evidence they had. They responded that the account is permanently disabled because of fraud and that they would not provide any more information. In a recent email inquiry from me (on an unrelated issue), the agent commented how much Survey Junkie enjoyed my being a member and completing surveys. First, I would like my $10.04 for the work completed for the surveys. I would also like the account reinstated. Also, I would like it to be known publicly how they treat people, so others may not fall victim to their scams. I have completed surveys with them for some time without any such accusations. I did file a complaint some time ago with the BBB when Survey Junkie closed my account one time before. That was resolved when they reopened the account when I verified my identity. On that instance, Survey Junkie also attempted to hold the money I earned through completing surveys.Business response
