I initially came to Americor after receiving a mailed advertisement for a loan. I reached out and was only approved for debt consolidation. I was deceived into cancelling my prior debt consolidation to do business with Americor. I was told that the company I was with was no good and a scam. I was promised that upon signing up that Americor would start working on my settlements as they do not wait until funds are built up in account and the soonest I could expect a settlement would be within 30 days. I was told that no fees are accessed until after my graduation date. I spoke with a 2nd representative about 2 weeks into the program to find out everything I was told in the initial consultation was incorrect but they had reached out to at least one of my creditors. The final time on 7/11/2023 I called in after speaking with an associate of mine that he used to work for Americor and they are full of lies. I then researched to find they had nothing but bad reviews as of the last three months which made me uncomfortable because everything I read sounded like my situation. I found out by calling in that they don't provide legal advise or assistance, that funds do after to build up before they reach out to begin settlement negotiations, and expressed I would be cancelling. I have cancelled my account as of 7/14/2023 and was told I would get a refund on **** days but when I just called today, I found out that the bank holding my dedicated account took fees from my account and they had to do an audit before send out refund. This just adds more fuel to the fire as now it is established the refund process takes up to 14 days if not longer. Why would an audit for an account that has only been active for two months? I feel the delay is for some other reason not being disclosed. I have missed payments due to relying upon promises and false expectations. This is considered fraud by deception. We are living in challenge times and this is unacceptable. My account number is ********.Business Response

this company falsely represented itself as Cedrit 9 it turns out that is an alias for Americor, I spoke to a **** who sounded as if he were at the bottom of the ocean. the call quality was horrible and I had to keep asking him to repeat himself, Long story short I wanted more information about a loan option instead I was sent an offer from Americor and not ******** for some stupid Americor Advantage Plus plan. I pressed him on what this was and he kept contradicting himself stating it wasn't a loan but it was a loan. I advised him I wasn't interested in this because it, not something that I would like to go about at this time yet he still kept insisting and contradicting what the plan was. as a company someone should be upfront and not tell people your one company when your not.Business Response

This company has total deposit of $7,853 and has not completed the service agreement. I am pending a court appearance for their negligence to negotiate my debt. I desire my funds to pay the remaining debt I owe.Business Response

Americor Funding, LLC (Americor) is in receipt of Ms. ******* complaint (#********). We appreciate the opportunity to respond to her concerns.
By way of background, the customer enrolled and executed a Debt Resolution Agreement with Americor on October 11, 2021. Two debts totaling $16,501.00 were enrolled in the program. The customer agreed to make deposits of $633.94 per month into a designated third-party savings account for the purpose of accumulating funds to negotiate with the customers creditors. One of the debts has been settled in full. As of the date of her complaint, the remaining debt to be settled was Discover, which is the subject of this complaint, and has a current balance of $10,952.50.
Americor reviewed the internal notes of the customers file and completed an analysis of her final debt for negotiation purposes. It was determined that her savings account was approximately $1,300 short to start negotiations. Americor had scheduled extra monthly deposits for the customer to cover this shortage. This was communicated to the customer on July 11, 2023 via telephone. However, the customer elected to remove the Discover account from the program. Her account is now being reviewed and remaining funds in her savings account will be returned to her less any settlement fees owing pursuant to Section 6A ii of the agreement.
Addressing her concern as far as her pending court proceeding, it should be noted that a lawsuit is a potential effect of participating in a Debt Resolution program, which is outlined in Section B(vi) of the enrollment agreement and agreed to by the customer.
In addition, it is noted that prior to her cancellation, the customer had been on track to become debt free and very close to completing the program. Americor will be happy to serve the customer if she chooses to re-enroll at a future date to resolve this remaining account on her behalf. We hope this clears up any questions and/or concerns.Initial Complaint

I signed up for a loan app unfortunately not realizing that it was going to share my information with a pack of predatory loan companies.Americor is the only company that I have spoken on the phone with, explicitly requested not to be called (twice), and have had to block their number as they continue to call my phone. I was told by the person who I last spoke to that I would be placed on the "Do Not Contact" list a few weeks ago and yet, as recently yesterday, I am still receiving calls to my phone from this number.I am done being polite about this. This many calls after being told explicitly that I wasn't interested and to stop calling my phone is obnoxious and, even worse, predatory as it feels like they're genuinely trying to break me down and get me to sign up for their service. This complaint is my last attempt at getting them to leave me alone as the *** is my next step and I have the audio record of my previous phone call with their rep and documented proof of every unanswered call afterwards.Have a nice day.Business Response

This company is a scam. I have set up with them and been with them for maybe a year now and I have had numerous times they send me into the negative on my bank account by taking 900$ from me. What debt company does this? Clearly I need help paying off the debt. I will never recommend this company to anyone. Ive been trying to cancel my account and close it out. They are awful.Business Response

Its absolutely impossible to get through to a human to cancel. My Account Number: ******* I started digging into what they have on their site and several of the accounts they have as "negotiating" on their client portal have actually been removed or charged off months ago. Americor obviously isnt staying on top of things and is charging a pretty ***** to do this. I want to cancel immediately but the chat window they have on their site is useless....calling them always results on them not answering or their systems hanging up on me. Their employees have been little to no help. I just want to cancel my account immediately and need to know what my final amount owed is to be done with Americor and Advantage Law (who they use) immediately!!!!Business Response

Americor Funding, LLC (Americor) is in receipt of ********************************* complaint (CID#*******). We appreciate the opportunity to respond to her concerns.
We have conducted research on her internal file. The customer called in on June 1, 2023 and spoke with an Americor ****** Services representative. Regarding her request to cancel, such was discussed, but the customer stated that she wanted to pay off the creditors that were currently in term settlements. A payoff quote, including outstanding fees, was sent to her via email the same day. In response, also the same day, the customer requested the removal of the 7 unsettled accounts. She further stated that once these accounts are removed, she would make a final decision on canceling or moving forward. On June 12, 2023 contact was made with the customer via telephone, at which time she mentioned that she had reviewed her account and elected not to cancel. Her file was placed back in active status.
We hope this clarifies any questions and/ or concerns.Initial Complaint
