Hello there, first and foremost I would like to thank everyone that left reviews that warned others to stay away. Unbeknownst to me, I didn't know what type of bank institution Westlake was. I went to a small local dealership on Saturday (12/07/24) looking around and I ended up financing a car I liked. I had a credit score of +740 and was offered 11% APR and I had also put down 4k as down payment. I was then told I'd be financing thru Westlake Financial. I was ready and happy w my choice until the following Monday (12/09/24) when I looked on my acc it said $0 due by the first due date. I thought it was weird so I looked up Westlake financial reviews, and then my heart dropped. By then I have read over 100 reviews (vast majority of them being negative) a lot of ppl sharing their experiences; car getting wrongfully repo'd even when payments are made on time, or the institution would purposely not take the fund outta the *** to gain late fees, or having issues receiving the title when the car is paid off, how the company shows predatory tendencies, etc, etc. I thought to myself, I messed up. By the following week, I had gone to a more reputable bank (****) and was able to refinance my auto loan. Was offered 8% APR and I'm happy that it's with a banking institution that I can trust! I saw what could potentially happen to me if I stuck w Westlake financial, so to avoid the headaches and problems, I got myself tf out of there ASAP

I bought a car and westlake financed it. My first two payments went well. My debit card got hacked and someone tried to send 36k to ****** ****** diabetic association. So my card got flagged and canceled. So my next payment didn't go through. I didn't know my payment was coming off my debt card and not my account. I didn't get any notice that It didn't go through. No email cause from what their call center said place I got car from didn't give them right email. I guess I got four calls from a number from ********** that did not leave a voicemail. I finally got a letter from them called got a lady she looked it up and said I only owed 25 dollars so I put it on my new card and thought there was a mistake and shredded letter. Then a couple weeks later I get another letter so I call back find out what happened and fixed it and made the back payment. Then a couple months later I get a missed payment on my credit report that dropped my score 100 points. So I contacted them I explained what happened I tried to make it good when I first called and payed the 25 the lady said was all she could see. sent proof of my card being flagged and that they had my email wrong so I didn't get any notice of missed payment. But since I didn't answer one of the four phone calls with no voicemail from 2000 miles away there was nothing they could do. I also emailed their ceo and upper management but never even got a response from them. I definitely would not recommend

I financed a suv through this company back in 2019 . The truck was paid off in December of 2024 I received a letter stating the *** been paid off along with the title. Now they keep calling saying it was a mistake and I owe $500 and something odd dollars left . I got the email of the pay off amount along with the payments I made covering the amount . They keep calling and emailing me everyday none stop sometimes 3-4 times a day . I have perfect payment history and my credit score is almost 800 I never ever been through anything like this in my life . I will not pay them another dollar !!! I even asked financial advisors what would they do and they told me they think its very suspicious , stay away from this company !!!

Been with them for a few years now, and never had an issue until getting to the end of my loan and wanted to pay extra to get it finished a little sooner. Well, apparently attempting to do that online only sets it up as an additional payment, *** according to the employee I spoke with, doing something like that can only be done overthe phone. So imagine my surprise when I go to check my bank account and see two different transactions, one for the regular amount and another for the higher amount that wanted to pay as the new monthly, resulting in my bank account going over $200 in the hole....I promptly call them, the start the process for reversing one of the payments, no issue. I also dispute one charge with the bank to hopefully avoid overdraft fees... skip ahead a few days and I check on it again, and my bank account is a little too healthy. Check the Westlake account, and see two $30 insufficient funds charges, that despite explaining to Westlake what happened, and them having no record of the previous phone call to have them reverse one of the payments, they refuse to do anything about those two charges and fully expect me to pay despite clearly explaining what happened...So now I'm looking to refinance to get away from this poor excuse of a lender

There is a reason why Westlake financial doesn't have BBB accreditation. I've never been more frustrated. I paid off my car (early) May 20th of 2024. I have YET to receive my lein release. I call, I request, I am told it was already sent but they will resend. It should take 10 business days. Then it isn't sent (I am receiving all my mail... junk, bills, correspondence, but just not this piece of mail. I always received the bill, though. I cannot imagine what gain there could be for terrible aftercare in financing business. But I have rarely been so frustrated. I will NEVER use them again. I will actively warn entrepreneurs (like myself) to avoid them like the plague!!

My nephew, has a car loan with this organization which he pays on time EVERY month! On Wednesday, 2/5, he paid and then he realized that double had been taken out of his account. He called back but could not get through to a human. On Thursday, 2/6, he called while I was sitting there with him and got someone. The representative informed him that he would submit the refund for processing and went on to verify the bank information in which the funds were taken. The representative advised that it would be "refunded" back to Mr. ******* with the account information that it was paid with and verified within 2-3 business days. On 2/11, we checked the account (3rd business day) it was not there. He called to verify where the refund was, he was told that a notification was sent to an email on the account, his mom's email. His mom has been critically ill and has NOT been checking any emails; her email is NOT the primary email. He was also told that THAT notification consisted of a virtual card with his refund amount on it. So, as he was notifying me of this situation, I decided to do a 3-way call with him to "verify" this information. We were told that a notification had been sent to an email that we do no longer have access to and the virtual card was sent to that same email. Meanwhile, we changed the information and was asking how do we "cancel" that virtual card (which we did not request) and get it sent to the CORRECT email address. We were told to call **********, the 3rd party administrator for refunds for the company. We spoke to ****, who did not find anything on our inquiry & because he couldn't find anything, we were told to call Westlake back to figure out/get instructions on how to get this money back.Calling back, we found out this was the only way that they do refunds. We have spoken to 2 managers, sent letters and contacted Legal Aid to get an **** that specializes in Consumer law. We will be calling back and we will get this settled.

I have had a vehicle for years with them and have most definitely been overpaying. I called back in July I believe on the 13th and asked can I move my July payment to the end of my terms as I was facing a financial hardship and was out of work. I spoke with a lady who placed me on hold and came back to the phone and said the supervisor approved it and my next payment would be due in August. I made my payments but today is February 6 and have not made my January payment but its not 30 days late yet. My car was taken overnight and I am fighting with them to have the call pulled to prove that I was told I was approved to have my payment pushed back. There is no way I would continue to make regular payments knowing I was missing a payment. This is unfair and it seems this company has a history of doing this to customers per the lawsuit from 2017. Now I am waiting for a simple call to be pulled and most **** I talk to are rude and I am getting different stories from everyone. I need help please to get my vehicle back I cannot have this on my credit.

Don't do business with this Company. I bought a Jeep Compass Altitude and I'm making my payments on time. But Company is ****** three times I did online payments before due date, payments came back unpaid "Innaccuaate account number, Insufficient funds, was charged late fee and Insufficient funds fee when I had more than enough to pay my loan. Not only that I'm charged alot in finance fees. Worse than doing business with ******* rent to own.
