On August 17, 2023 I was rear ended by an individual with Anchor General Insurance. I have the police report of the incident and have properly filed a claim through Anchor insurance. I have called several times to follow up on the claim, the company will not answer their phones and if they do answer they will leave you on hold for extended period of time and act like they are checking on the status and eventually the line will hang up. They refuse to give me the names of their supervisor or provide me with any direct phone numbers or emails.Business Response

I contacted my insurance more than 2 months ago because I was in an accident. I keep leaving messages and no one reaches out to me to let me know what the next process is such as if I will be able to get a car rental while my car is getting fixed and what is the deductible if I will have to pay any, as well as why they did not have the other insurance of the person that hit me take responsibility of the damages since they didnt even provide a valid drivers license and I was hit from the back. I feel like they arent even trying to solve my case and its so annoying everytime I call they dont have answers and say they will leave a message for the person in charge of my case and that never falls through. I have tried to call them and now the call is just on hold and no one answers.Business Response

*** made a claim on May 2023, made several calls but only to be transferred to the adjuster and be left on hold for hours and have call end without speaking to adjuster. I was also told my first assigned adjuster no longer worked with the company and was going to be assigned a new one. With a new adjuster assigned the same thing was happening no calls or updates. The body shop has also been trying to get a hold of the company but was last updated on July 2023. Now that I try to call the adjuster it goes straight to voicemail. It is now October 2023 with no update. Within those months of not having my car I have been paying for a rental out of pocket and its slowing draining me financially, I would like to receive money back from that as well. On Sunday September 10, I was rear ended by a driver who has Anchor General insurance. Since then my insurance has not been able to get ahold of them except for an initial conversation where they said a claims adjuster was being given the incident. Since then I have attempted to call and email this company; however, no one answers the phone or returns emails. I would simply like them to get in contact with my insurance company (Geico) so we can get the process moving on getting my vehicle fixed.Business Response

My insurance had me take my truck to an autobody shop of their choice to get fixed i couldn't chose a respectable shop so the body shop I had to take my truck to was not professional I didn't give anyone permission to drive my truck only in the shop they put the emblems and door protectors not straight a big gash on the bed of the truck putting it back together and their were also alot of ************ around my truck that wasn't their lot of over spray and paint missing from the fresh work they did with scratches on the fresh work they did and they ripped my bed ****** they also sanded off the protection sticks and didn't put them back I had to go buy them which cost alot the didn't even put ba k the trim on the bumper I had to look for it inside the bumper now that is not professional I want my truck fixed the right way in a different shopBusiness Response

I got into a car accident in early of MAY 2023 by someone with ANCHOR GENERAL insurance and my car is still damaged undrivable. ITS NOW SEPTEMBER 2023 I have called everyday, Ive emailed them everyday and the last few weeks my email stopped sending to them!! I did everything they asked from me and I STILL DONt HAVE my CAR FIXED. Im on hold for hours no matter what time it is!! I lost my job over not being able to get to work! Losing tons of money over their mistake!!!!! I cant reach anyone on the phone or email!!!! I need my car fixed NOW! This is ridiculous that theres even this many complaints from this company and theyre still allowed to still do business this has effected so many parts of my life just ** they wont do there job responsible!!!!Business Response

On September 9, 2023, ************************************* was rear-ended by *****************************, whose insurance is Anchor General. We have since made several efforts to resolve this matter by contacting Anchor General. While we did receive one call from ***********************, whom I suppose is the adjustor, she has failed to return our calls. My husband and I made several polite efforts to speak with ******, whose voice-mail assures us that we will receive a call within 24 hours. Because of the extensive damage caused to the rear of our car, my husband and I would like to resolve this matter as soon as possible. Additionally, I have since felt pain on my back and shoulders due to the accident. Given the gravity of the situation, we are disappointed by the lack of progress made by Anchor General -- that is to say, no progress has been made.Business Response

******** C1 Claim was opened in October 2022 Today is September 15, 2023.At this point I have completely given up on calling or contacting Anchor General because Anchor general does not wish to be contacted. Hours and hours on the phone trying to get ahold of someone but to no avail. My adjusters phone directly goes to voicemail, its been that way for months. My claim includes 3 day rental for my Ram **** truck, that was approved for payment but never sent out, nothing. No communication, no support, nonacceptable behavior seems to be the standard for Anchor General. How is it Legal for drivers to have Anchor General Insurance and drive in ***********. I would have better luck getting hit by a *******, than i would if their insured hit crashed into me. Totally unprofessional, dishonest, and allergic to answering phone calls. I have filed my claim more than 4 weeks, I never heard anything back from the adjuster. I have tried to call everyday, but everytime I called, it just goes to voicemail immediately. The accident happens at 7/20/2023, they only come and take a picture of the car damage. It is impossible to contact and move forward.Business Response

I have discussed with anchor general insurance, there coverage is not enough to get my fixed, so I am going with my own insurance company. Because of this, my insurance company need a official letter from them confirming they have accepted the liability and the coverage limitation. However, I contacted them last week with this request, but my insurance company haven't received such letter yet. I will close this complaint when this letter is received.Business Response

An accident happened on 07/24/2023 at 9:20 AM with a policy holder of Anchor General insurance. *** was on scene, their driver did not provide his information or his insurance information, so we needed to wait to get the *** report to get his information. The *** report came out on 08/03/2023 and said that Anchor Generals policy holder was at fault, and we right away contacted the ***** number for Anchor General who said that a claim was already existed and they gave us the contact information to the claims adjuster. I have been calling the claims adjuster since 08/03/2023, his name is *****************************, he has not responded once, the collision center also has been trying to reach out, but ****** does not want to answer.I reached out to the ***** number again, and the agent on the phone reached out to him via messaging on 08/07/2023 and he responded to her saying that he would call me back within 7*2 business hours, but we still have yet to hear from him.I called the ***** number again on 08/14/2023 and this time they gave me his supervisors number, her name is *******************, and guess what, no answer as well. I left her a voicemail, and now I am waiting for a call back.The main issue is that the collision center said that they have previously worked with Anchor General and that unfortunately they are bad at communication and this seems to be dealing in bad faith, delaying claims, and hoping that people stop calling them. Although the police report places our insured at fault, he is disputing liability and has retained an attorney for this loss. Unfortunately, liability is still being investigated due to the disputed facts of loss. The issue is your non-responsive! Your insured can dispute the issue, but why take 3 weeks to get back to me? You had my contact information on 08/03/2023, claim was started on 07/24/2023, I have heard back from you guys once on 08/16/2023 and you went radio silent again! Now it is back to leaving voicemails and no response!
it is quite frustrating and unprofessional to not give updates or respond to communications! Your insured has not reached out, nor has their attorney, and you are not answering to give an update!
I am emotionally distraught, my car has been gone for a month now and all I have gotten is a 2 minute call 3 weeks after the incident and now it is just radio silent! Such horrible and inhuman treatment of others!
