6/19/24 Ordered cleaning product on line from a company called Splash. Received, does not work, multiple emails to company seeking refund. Decided not worth pursuing. 7/19/24 Horizon Direct charge on my credit card which I disputed with cc company Responded to Horizon's email about charge. Learned that this is a subscription service through Splash, one of its partners. Did not receive or authorize an email from Horizon about subscription service. In addition, there will be a monthly charge of $19.95 going forward for subscription service. Was given option to cancel monthly service via email which Horizon sent. Promptly canceled monthly service. Disputed charge with credit card company and now filing this complaint so everyone else is aware of these deceptive practices.Business Response

just after midnight this past evening June 25, 2024, an UNAUTHORIZED charge notice from my bank was texted to me in the amount of $35.95 from *********, ** and my bank and residence are in *****. I have no business transaction with this company nor knowledge of its existence before this. I am now out almost a week's worth of groceries on a fixed income because of some criminal in this company hacking my debit card.Business Response

received fraud alert text from my credit card company at 12:46 am on Tuesday, June 11th (while I was asleep) asking to verify suspicious activity: HORIZON DIRECT, attempted to charge $39.95 to my card. Thankfully it did not go through because I was able to report I did not authorize this transaction. I recently bought SplashFoam Spray and based on other complaints this may be the connection. Horizon Direct has charged me 3 times at an amount of $39.99 each time. I do not know what this company is or how they got my information.
