I took out a car loan with Wells Fargo. I pay extra every month, but instead of applying the additional amount to principal, Wells just keeps pushing out the next payment date. I don't even know how it's legal! Despite multiple calls to their (lack of) service center I've given up. Just trying to pay off as quickly as possible and will never do business with them again...Review from Chris M

Tried to make my final mortgage payment before the maturity date. I requested the payoff amount and went online to make the final payment and my account was frozen. **************** first told me the maturity date had passed while I was looking online at the future maturity date. I asked to speak with someone else and that person told me it was frozen because it was getting ready to close and that they couldn't accept payment over the phone. They told me I had to mail a check or come into a branch. I have been doing online banking for many years and never heard of a bank that "can't" take money!!! They referred me to a cash management office that just happened to be closed for the day. This is terrible customer service!! Totally unacceptable these days! I was a customer for many years and *************************. They changed a program decided to put a new fee on my account after 12 years with them. They scam people out of their own money. Warning do not bank with Wells Fargo they will take money from your account without approval!Review from Kenneth L

Avoid WF and BOA at all costs. Your money gets stolen, you are screwed. Horrible CS! Find any other banks than these 2. Any scam or fraudulent charges are honored and paid, no questions asked. You as the customer get "we don't have the authority to dispute the charges". Don't do it. Don't get loans or start accounts.Review from Candice J

As a customer of 30+ years, I came in the bank and sat waiting my turn to briefly talk with a banker to address a discrepancy on my account. I was walk-in, so I'm willing to wait until they had an opportunity to talk to me for 5 minutes or so.They tried to take me at one point, but I was still putting my data together and was not quite prepared. The two female employees stood there and took 2 others and then finished with them.When they re-approched, I affirmed I was ready. By then, a new entry came in and sat down. She chooses to do her banking via online app apparently as I do not.So because of that, they took her instead of me because she made her appointment online when she walked in scanning their posted ** code instead of waiting.So I sat longer, still waiting. Neither banker helped me at all and said I had to make an appointment for the next day and return.I'd like to state that nobody else is here just now waiting except me still at this time.. I've been here about 45 minutes and there's a 3rd available banker in her cubicle this entire time without a single customer. She wasn't even on the phone either.She walked past me and never acknowledged me. I haven't said or done a thing considered disrespectful in any form. I said I'd like to file a complaint. The one I spoke with who wanted to do little to nothing to help me said she'd file a complaint on my behalf.But then she never returned. It's now 11:34.I'm the only customer in their waiting room.There's two customers at the teller's window. It's slower than molasses. But I'm entirely unimportant at this ****/**************. branch in ******, **. Thus here I sit writing this review and next perhaps a BBB Complaint or the equivalent. It's very disheartening as I've been here since 11:10.Now, it is 11:45. Three new customers walked in taking a seat next to me.Two just now scanned the ** code. Let's see what happens next. Now is 12:05 walks past me ignoring me and helps the others, WOW!Review from Arthur R

We have been with them for 8 yrs. Had someone hack wifes debit card snd took $90 from atm s. They determined she had loaned the card to somebody because machine took card and they used her pin. Refused to refund our money from this determination. She has Never loaned or given card to anybody. Same person tried to buy something from a store not close to us, in a different city, we will start using another bank asap. We will tell everybody about this and recommend they Not use Wells Fargo bank.Review from Donald P

Wells Fargo in ****** Ga I did a dispute with them for $157.95 since I was suppose to get an apartment in ************* at ****************** but that didnt go as planned but they said it wasnt ready and they was gone send my admin fee back so that was in March but I filed the dispute in May just to give them time so send it back so Wells Fargo ended up sending the dispute back to me but then they ended up taking it back because apparently they couldnt get a direct respond from the merchant which I called and they said yes they said that they would send my $157.95 back to me but they sent it off ti there corporate office so I think the just didnt call the apartment complex and ask them they just took $157.95 back from me.Review from Marc onel M

Wells Fargo is a scam They stole my money. They repeat transactions and make you think that you didnt have the enough funds and next thing you see is your account negative. And the genius behind it on their side there is no error or mistake because they cover their back by only showing legit transaction My account is -$36 this morning I know **** well if I dont have enough funds then transaction would be unsuccessful If you dont know your finance and dont check your account regularly they are stealing your moneyReview from Tyeisha L
