I spoke with the sheriffs **** and they told me that indiegogo encourages and harbor scam to take place since most of their merchants are located in mainland *****. I have tried for over two months to get a refund by emailing the company with no success. Their discussion forum is a place where individuals will bully you on the behalf of indiegogo N the merchant, ENGWE. The local sheriffs department told that these companies are rarely help responsible for their fraud. The ******** attorney generals office is closely with me to get my $1700.00 return to me. Good luck, right? emails sent to either party will keep your head spinning while giving so many sites to go to for a refund, it is a joke. ***** is now the scammers ofhe world with their sophistication and leaves ******* in the dust. ***** pollutes our planet, they produce plastic rice for consumption, they make fake designer clothes an fake accessories, they lie and are hustling criminals, indiegogo is a perfect storm for criminal activities and money laundering, and they even have a exact replica of the USAs Apple store selling fake Apple products. I am 200% against buying anything from *****. After I paid I saw the bike was made in *****, I decide to pull the plug. Ha, I am still pulling. I ran a crowd-funding campaign through Indiegogo for a Burning Man Honorarium project: Consumption. The majority of the funds received were high-dollar donations from close friends. Indiegogo held the funds for 30-days, then reversed the transactions, even after donors responded to queries from Indiegogo about their contributions. Indiegogo has not responded to my inquiries about this, nor do they have any way to contact them except through their website. I would like the contributions processed, and the value of those contributions added back to my campaign total.OR I would like the remainder of the funds processed sent, and the campaign removed from the Indiegogo site as the total raised does not at all reflect the funds we actually raised. Both indiegogo and Engwe are both 21st century. They are incompetent and unscrupulous and egregiously ignorant. I have been asking for a full refund since mid-June weekly and yet I am still owed that money of over $1700. ***** IS THE NEW ******* WHEN IT COMEA TO scams. Be careful here because they will make you run circles and have TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have the ******** attorneys generals office on notice until when the detectives completed their finding for illegal activities. In February 2019, I contributed to an Indiegogo project (https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/lily-the-1st-smart-speaker-that-teaches-chinese/x/10752838#/). However, it was later revealed to be a scam, which Indiegogo acknowledges. I submitted a request for a refund. I received an email from Indiegogo which claimed they refunded me to a Chase card ending in ****. However, that is not my account. I have also done my due diligence and made multiple calls to Chase, which confirms that I have never held any account (open or closed) matching that description. Although I have communicated to Indiegogo that they have refunded the money to the wrong person, they refuse to take any action on their part to attempt to resolve this and ensure that the refund arrives back to me.Initial Complaint

I placed an order on Indiegogo to back the Odin: The Ultimate Gaming Handheld on March 13th, 2022 for around $271 (I don't remember the exact amount due to converting the currency from ********* Dollar to USD). The merchant for this campaign kept moving the goalposts, stating that the Odin Lite (the model I purchase) would be delivered in the summer, then the end of July, then end of August, and now by the end of September. After the goalposts were moved multiple times and no actual guarantee that I would actually get the unit, I requested the merchant of the campaign to refund me, which they did. The merchant sent the funds to Indiegogo who would handle the refund. I placed the refund request on August 22nd, 2022.However, the checking and debit card that I placed this order under is no longer active and is closed. I requested Indiegogo multiple times to please send another form of a refund (a check) because of this. Indiegogo informed me that they have to refund it to the original payment method and to contact my bank. I called my bank three separate times and they told me that they would be outright refusing the refund due to a closed account and the refund would bounce back to Indiegogo. I told Indiegogo this on four separate occasions, that my bank would not be able to get me my refund due to it bouncing, and Indiegogo told me there's nothing they can do about it.I was able to put a claim for this purchase through my closed bank account, but the resolution is pending, and I may still not be able to recover my refund.Initial Complaint

Spent 370$ April 2020 in contribution to the wagii smart glasses for 2 pairs and I was supposed to receive 1 July 2020 and the other was supposed to come July 2021 I've received neither and when I reached out to indegogo they claimed there's nothing they can do and for me to reach out to the person who started the campaign and I tried everything in my power to no avail so I'm hoping the bbb can help meInitial Complaint

In September of 2018, I backed a campaign for waterproof ear buds (Dolphin-Waterproof Earbuds With Intuitive Controls) on Indiegogo. The campaign was successfully backed and IIGLAB Team (the product creator) was supposed to delivery the product by November 2018. I paid $49.00 for the product and funds were released by Indiegogo to the product creator for the product. The product ended up being a complete scam and the product was never created. Indiegogo has refused to provide a refund since funds were given to the creator. However, the creator never fulfilled the orders, thus a product was never received. My money was stolen and Indiegogo refuses to help. I want a full refund for the product that I never received (nor have any others). If needed, I will escalate this to a governmental organization, as I paid for a product that I never received. I backed ************** documentary A Place Among the Undead on 27 November 2015. Indiegogo collected the funds on 5 December 2015. Since then, the project tradically changed after the completion of funding, from a standalone documentary to a full series, yet there has been no update in over 3 years. Instead, a new documentary (A Place Among the Dead) was created, but this project has been left in limbo.The production team announced the change to the project in October 2016. Despite that, they used the interviews they conducted and other footage to make a documentary by a slightly different name, which premiered in 2020.I tried contacting ************************* and *******************, the project organizers, on 23 January 2022 and never received a response. This project will never be finished nor will the funders fulfill their end of the fundraising campaign.I tried contacting Indiegogo on 21 August 2020 and they refused to take action. The campaign owner of the Dunecase project scammed many people including myself and fled the country with the money. I was scammed out or $299.00 (paid on October 21, 2019). I reached out to Indiegogo customer support and they refuse to take responsibility and refund my money. Indiegogo should not be allowed to profit from criminal activity and should refund my money.
