I was told I could have a onetime charge of $5.00 for a single question. I accepted and now have been charged every month, a membership fee which I never agreed to. I called and tried to get the issue resolved and they refuse to refund any money. The customer service department personnel were very rude and not willing to help. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they said they had none. Very shifty organization, they should be banned from the internet.Business Response

This business stated I could try a 7 day trial for only $1. I asked a legal question same day as purchasing the $1 trial and was immediately charged $46 and they will not refund me my money. This is a total scam.Business Response

They trick you into thinking they will only charge 1 dollar and then refund it. But they enroll you in a month to month agreement. I did not want to have a membership. They refused to refund the *****. They did cancel my "future" membership charges when i called which is good. But will not refund the *****. Thousands have complained to them and I am just another victim. I want my money back. I also told them I am a very senior citizen which did not matter, so I feel this is a form of elder abuse! I am rejecting this response because: They trick people into not knowing they are going to charge them. They said they are not going to charge me any more. But they will not refund the one month they charged me. I can't fight them but they know at least I did not appreciate their tricky methods. I just can't believe they have been able to do this to so many people.

As a courtesy, I have cancelled your most recent charge. Credit and debit card transactions typically take one business day to be completed. Since we initiated the cancellation of your deposit so quickly, only an authorization of funds was processed. An authorization is a hold that your card issuer places on your funds and is not an actual charge. You will not receive a credit back to your account since a charge was not processed, but the authorization shown on your card statement should drop off your account by the time you receive your next billing statement, and it'll be as if the transaction never occurred.
I assure you that moving forward you will not see any recurring membership charges.

just answer printed that for 5 dollars I could get answers to my question. Than my don't texted me asking me if I had made a charge for $30 to just answer and the answer was no it never said $30 anywhere in the advertisement it was all five dollars I disputed it with my bank but who knows how that's going to go but I really would like my money back I have not read the answer I don't want you to answer I don't understand these people why they do this and I admit illiterate when it comes to some of those computer stuff but I didn't think I was that dumb but obviously I am and just get them to return my money pleaseBusiness Response

I was looking for information regarding a potential lawsuit. I was directed to Just Answer from a different website which I don't remember. When I got on the Just Answer website there was a $5 charge to ask a legal question. My *********** coupon came up and said it would refund me $6 so I thought what the heck. I paid the $5 and asked my question and received some follow up from what was supposed to be an attorney. He made some suggestions but really never answered my questions. I was ok with $5 for this. Today I received a note from my **************** regarding a charge when my card was not present for $60 from the Just Answer website. It also said that it was "recurring". I never approved a $60 charge nor joined their recurring program. I emailed Just Answer and they say they cancelled my recurring membership but then cut me off with no mention of the $60 refund. The chat box locked and I could no longer engage with them. Talk about unethical business practices, I have spent about an hour and a half trying to get this resolved. I filed this complaint so that hopefully no one else has to go through this for results that you could receive likely talking to your friends over coffee.Business Response

Cancelled membership online the day I used Just Answer but it did not cancelled. Seen charge on my online account. Called to get this resolved and get my ***** refunded. Agent was not going to do nothing about it just said your membership is still active asked to speak with manager and he said manager couldn't do anything about it. I had an injured puppy and I needed a Vets opinion..the initial question was $5 then after my question ended I looked and it said it took out $5 and $35 for membership which I DIDNT want not would I have agreed to. I contacted support and she said there was nothing she could do bc the charge was nonrefundable...for a 1st time customer I was ticked..this is how they scam ppl. If a customer isn't pleased you don't charge them for the service.
