I was curious about the medication treatment that Hims offered. I created an account and went through their evaluation process. This morning, I saw that I was charged for a subscription to a medication. There was no conversation about the medication or why it might be a good plan for me to start. This seems to be by design as this happened to another person two complaints down the list. Very deceptive. I would not trust this company. Also it charged my card twice the amount that was shown when getting a quote which I thought was too expensive. I had no attention of buying it. I have insurance. Why would I use this company and spend almost $348 on a medication? Stay away from this company.Business Response

I created a Hims account on April 22nd to explore options for hair loss medication and products. While initially looking into different treatment options and medications, I took their short survey, and before I knew it, I had created an account, and THOUGHT I had put a card on file. After creating the account, the **** told me it was going to see if the option was right for me, and while I was researching the medications, particularly ***********, I found side effects that were not initially brought top, like possible fertility issues later on(this was beyond the possible sexual side effects brought up).This prompted me to try to all in all shut down my account, but to my horror I learned that my card had been charged $175 dollars, for a 5 MONTH subscription. When reading up how this could be true, I learned that APPARENTLY, below where I put my card information, there was legal text saying that I would be charged if I was approved. When looking back on my iPhone, I can confirm- that text doesnt initially show up, and the lowest part of the **** initially looks to be where to enter card info, its only when you scroll do you see the notice.The time in between when I created my account, and when I was fully approved, was less than an hour, and being that its a prescription medication I do not see how this is possible. How could I have been prescribed with nothing but my credit card information, and my birthday? I never sent pictures, spoke to a doctor, or added any level of personal input. Just my card, which is clearly all they cared about.I attempted to refund WITHIN the same day as my order, but I was called and told this was not possible. This is EXTREMELY frustrating, because on website it shows my order hadnt even been fulfilled at the pharmacy, much less shipped!I have attempted to receive refund through calling where I was very rudely told there was nothing I could do, and I "knew what I was signing up for'. They told me exactly that it would be $35/month for 5 months and then suddenly charged me $175 WITHOUT my authorization! I want my money back NOW!Business Response

Prescription refills were generally shipped last minute, so there was a lag in receiving medications. I reached out to ask that there could be a stop gap sent to my local pharmacy, which they did. I logged back into my account to see when my regular prescription would be shipped, since the provider had indicated when it would be processing during our last conversation, only to realize it had never shipped. When I reached out once again to ask when it would be shipped, customer service only now indicated that I needed to fill out a questionnaire to receive the medication (starting over with their intake process it turns out), and during the process of doing this, their website stopped working so I couldn't even complete the questionnaire. Despite paying upfront for the next several months of medication, I opted to cancel the prescription and look elsewhere due to their lack of consistency and dependability. I would like prorated discount given I paid for subscription medication until July and will not be able to receive that due to their negligence.Business Response

I am seeking a refund. I was just trying to learn about a hair loss product and it was very unclear that I was placing an order. Apparently the way it works is that before a doctor even reviews whether the prescription is a good one for you you somehow are signing up for a prescription. When I got an email the next day saying I had been charged $175 I immediately canceled my subscription, but I was not given a refund. I went to the website to find out how to get a refund and it took me in circles with no way to contact Hims about a refund.Business Response

I was a patient at Apostrophe for many years. I am using the word patient quite purposefully, because when Hims & Hers bought out Apostrophe, they did not treat patients there as actual patients. In fact, they did not treat it as a medical practice at all. Prescriptions were late or never filled. I believe at one point they even admitted that a formula was not as strong as it was advertised. And then they abruptly closed it without notice in March. I received NO emails and had NO opportunity to transfer my prescriptions. I attempted to message them in the portal to get my RXs transferred and they did not reply. This violates medical codes of ethics and mail order rules under the ***. I am seeking refunds so I can start new consults elsewhere. This was a medical practice that they treated no differently than if you were subscribing to monthly donuts or something. Where are the ethics? None of this was handled ethically, responsibly, or even legally. At bare minimum I want my $150 refunded so I can at least afford a new consult.Business Response

I ordered prescriptions on April 20, 2025. They charged my credit card $395 on April 21, 2025. I sent a message asking about my prescriptions today since I saw the status that they still hadnt shipped and I received a generic message back that the pharmacy just filled my prescriptions and its shipping soon. I cancelled my order and requested a refund. And I filed a dispute with my credit card company.Business Response

I intended to get some few ****** pills since I had tried that product in the past without issues. The idea was to purchase 1 bottle but was instead put on a subscription for another product (Taldalafil) that would renew every month. The total came out to $79.00 per bottle. After trying the product for a few days I realized that it is not what I need. I did not find the way to cancel it at that moment so I changed the next delivery for August. However, it appears that the same product had been already shipped and it should be delivery in a few days. Since then I have cancelled my subscription but now I noticed that I can't cancelled that order and Hims will not accept returns no provide refunds.Business Response

I signed up for **** under the assumption that my information and weight loss goals would be handled by a health provider.I am on Day 3 of the medication and I am experiencing serious side effects. I was only allowed to purchase a 10 month supply and now I believe I have been misinformed about my weight and health for this company to sell their *********** doctor saids that I have a healthy BMI and lifestyle and I think any health provider reviewing my information should never have approved these medications for **** trusted the company to be responsible with my health and not sell me a product so I can chat with a different health provider every time I message and receive a non-descript response.Business Response
