      Terrible company. Avoid at all costs if you don't want a headache. I am an accountant helping a client apply for a personal loan for home improvement. The client is a perfect borrower (DTI ratio of <5%), never a missed payments, no derogatory marks, 810 credit score, long standing credit history. The first time I spoke to someone at Sofi they said they could not verify all of his income (only 100k of it....) to which I said, ok, we will reapply with that stated income and request a lower amount. I did that and they denied him again with the only reason being that their debt obligations were too high compared to their income (he only has a less than $400 mortgage)... When I called to speak to someone again today, the account manager could only read off of a script and kept saying that they could only verify 80k of his income now. To which I said, ok... EVEN IF YOU CAN ONLY VERIFY 80K OF INCOME, HE IS VIRTUALLY DEBT FREE SO WHAT IS THE PROBLEM??? The account manager just kept spitting out the same spiel and we got absolutely nowhere. He couldn't turn off robot brain and speak to me like a person. At this point, I just wanted to understand what they were getting at, I wasn't even trying to get the loan for this person anymore. They pulled their credit report to make sure there wasn't anything fishy going on. There was nothing. Literally a perfect borrower. But the account manager couldn't give me anything on the matter except the script that was in front of him. I used to send a bunch of my clients to SOFI because it was easy and usually pretty quick to fund, but after this experience I will no longer be referring anyone to SOFI, under no circumstances.

      I was given a loan by SoFi for 20K. I set up electronic payments and never missed a payment. I went through my credit union to pay off the loan because my credit union gave me a lower interest rate.My credit union sent a payoff check for 13K. SoFi received the payoff check on 6/5. The same day SoFi cashed the payoff check.SoFi never applied the payoff amount to my loan. I paid the account of on May 20th using funds from my savings account (12K something).SoFi kept collecting interest on my loan on a daily bases. When I would call about the over payment of 13K SoFi would say they never received or cashed the check.As of June 6th my 13K is just sitting in SoFi's possession and the over payment hasn't been returned to **** would definitely stay away from this company. Poor customer service. Not a company you should do business with.

      Terrible banking. Possibly fraud! Promised an APY of ****% with direct deposit, and they continue refuse to honor the direct deposit. I have spent several hours chatting and on phone calls trying to fix the issue, but they won't honor what they promised.

      terrible account management. **************** is good. Account was frozen because 2 checks for the same amount were deposited. Could only deposit 1 per day, due to the $2000 daily limit, that I found out at that time. So, I deposited the next check the next day. Account has been frozen since Mid-May. I've been trying to contact the line referred to resolve account. That line goes directly to voicemail. that is said to be the Fraud Prevention Line. I've left several voicemails with no returned call. I called the main line, the Friday before memorial day and spoke with a rep stating they emailed that team and a call would be received 24-48hrs once they're open on Tuesday. It is now Monday, a week later. Spoke with a rep planning to send an email, again, escalated the call to a manager per my request. That manager could send an email but was unable to close my account until this was resolved. All the **************** stated that they check the voicemail every hour. Fortunately, this is not at all my primary account but for some people this is.

      SoFi **************** is poor. I've had an issue with the interest rate that they promised when I applied for the loan. And trying to resolve it has been next to impossible. Their website is difficult to navigate, and a call to customer service results in a one hour phone call, often with no resolution. I would not use this company again.

      These people at SoFi make grand conjectures initially for the purpose of inducing potential borrowers of submitting to ridiculous insulting terms. Why they partner with Intuit and TurboTax is concerning as Ive come to trust both recently. SoFi is utterly despicable.

      SoFi is a terrible company to deal with almost 5 weeks to get a $5,000 loan because I have taken off 3 months from work and they have done nothing but give me trouble. A supervisor told me to write a letter stating when I am going back to work and I sent that 3 times via fax, and the next supervisor said for me to get it from my company on a letter head. Not to mention several other employees told me different some said get it from your employee and others for me to personally write it. Do you see the inconsistency in this company when everyone says something different? I will call twice a day asking them if they need any more documents they tell me no and then the next them I call them want my pay or a letter stating when I am going back to work. They shuffle you back and forth. I would never deal with these people again. They do not know what they are doing.

      Never will I ever do banking with this company ever again they locked my account and told me to call the number. Ive been calling the # since yesterday leaving messages like the voicemail says and still have yet to receive a response when I call customer service they say oh we cant help you, you have to talk to the fraud department! How tf can you talk to a person when they send you to a voicemail. The last time I used my account was to purchase food on my lunch break I check my account at 2am then my account is frozen. No email phone call nothing. All the representatives says is they can send them a email b/c they have no direct phone this company is a scam and need to be shut now for stealing consumers money!! How tf are you running a business and we cant even get in touch with customer service! Im heater b/c I have automatic bills coming out of that account how can I eat, what company will want to hear that you cant pay them thats ******** putting at risk of paying late fees and getting evicted!! I want my f****** money that I work hard for!!!!

      This business has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with in my life. I filed to dispute a transaction because the merchant suddenly ceased all operations and shut down/went under and it has been virtually impossible to get in contact with the merchant check on what will be happening to my order and if I can get my money back. SoFi has barely communicated to me throughout the process and has only given me vague responses about the status of what's happening with the dispute. I provided a lot of evidence about the issue with the merchant, and literal screen shots of my email being bounced back and their website being shut down. I've asked so many times if there was a way to contact the department that handles disputes directly, but I've been told that department doesn't have a phone and they only communicate via email, which has been frustrating because they only sent me one initial email to begin with when they were requesting evidence for the dispute. After applying pressure and calling, I finally got an email back telling me that I will not be able to get my money back and that there is not an error with the transaction, despite of ALL of the substantial evidence I provided them and THEN some. I am extremely disappointed with how this whole dispute has been handled, especially with the lack of communication from SoFi. Wouldn't it make sense for the department handling money disputes to have their own separate phone number so you can communicate with them more effectively? Especially when my previous emails have been ignored up until this point. Once this situation is settled, I am switching banks. This service is unacceptable. No wonder why there are so many customer service complaints on this page about SoFi. If you are reading this, please learn from my mistakes and DO NOT BANK WITH SOFI.
