Airgarage seems to be a complete scam. I've been emailing, texting and have spoken with multiple customer care representatives over the course of 2 weeks. I received an invoice from them as well, assuring me that I had a monthly parking spot in *********, **. Upon going to the garage, the site manager told me they had no record of my arrangement and that airgarage was a scam. Please do not use this fraudulent website.Business response

Hi ******, we are not a scam. It looks like you attempted to register for monthly parking at a private facility that only allows employees to park there. You were never charged, and your rental was cancelled right away. Thank you.Initial Complaint

After I arrived and checked in, I made sure to confirm with the hotel receptionist that my parking fee had been waived due to my purchase of water park tickets. I even supplied her with my license plate number for verification. Attached are copies of the summons I received and my receipt for the water park tickets for your reference.Business response

Hi,
Your violation has already been waived. We apologize that the hotel did not inform you that you still need to register for parking when you arrive. You get free parking with waterpark tickets, but you still need to register. Thank you.

I parked in an AirGarage lot on 2/11/24 in downtown ********** **************. I scanned the sign in the lot for AirGarage when I parked and again when I came out to pay the fee. The fee was $14.80 which I paid on my credit card. I received a letter dated 2/14/24 stating I parked in their lot and did not pay. It's saying I owe them $54. I can see the money I paid on my credit card statement. I would like for them to remove this $54 charge which I do not owe. I noticed that other people who have complained are also getting these $54 notices after they've paid.Customer response

Both my wife and I have tried to use the air garage app to park in *********, ** when we take our children to gymnastics class. The Air Garage App continues to charge both of us when one of us parks. It sends a notice to me when she parks, saying it's charging the *** daily rate because the car is not registered but indeed it is registered and actively being paid for by my wife at the same time. This has occured on Feb 17th and March 2nd, 2024. I've requested refunds for this and other misbillings with no response. My wife has emailed with no response. At what point is something called theft?Further, we are given a code for free two hours parking with our child's class. However, the app glitches so often you can almost never turn it off before the free code expires and end up getting charged $4-7 for going ten minutes over...al because their app doesn't work. Thats more than the meters cost for the entirety of our time there. This company is trying to profit off of technology and not having to pay for employees but has not figured its technology out and has terrible response time and resolution procedures.Customer response

Subject: Re: BBB Complaint #***********,
Yes, they reached out a bit over a month ago I believe. They refunded the large amount (approx $28/time) that was due to double billing which triggered me filing the complaint. I'm still waiting on refund decisions for overcharges of lesser amounts that are due to the app failing (so you can't deactivate your parking because the app stalls and restarts repeatedly). I would consider my initial complaint resolved though this business is truly horrible. They don't respond to the dispute option in the app whatsoever.

Today was my first time going to Saks Fifth Avenue in ******** to make a quick return. When I pulled into the parking lot, I saw a small sign regarding parking but I didnt see where to pay. I went inside for a moment to ask somebody about the parking and when I came out, I had a parking violation on my car from AirGarage for $54!! It was dark out, my first time at the location which shocked me that has parking to pay for anyway, and I went inside to ask somebody to how pay it! This is absolutely insane and ridiculous. Im a disabled veteran! This needs to be waived/removed immediately.Business response

This is a complaint about exorbitant billing, a poorly-designed app, and failed followup by the the merchant -- a surface lot parking operator, Airgarage. I arrived at the lot (4th and Congress in ******) roughly 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, the 10th. Standing in light rain beneath an unsheltered QR code, I scanned the code, I filled out the form that appeared on my phone, and I was told to Begin Parking. So, I did. As I left the lot two hours later, I saw that Airgarage or some scammer was attempting, via a "parking violation," to extort some additional charge. On my return home, roughly 9:30 pm that evening, I emailed Airgarage to determine if this alleged violation were actually from Airgarage or was, indeed, a scam. I left a phone number at which I could be reached. Later, that same evening, I got a cordial email asking for a photo of the "parking violation" and promising an investigation. I sent the photo that evening. I have heard nothing further from Airgarage. I followed up three days later with a subsequent email to ensure there communication failure was not due to a bad email address.Related documents are uploaded.I have, now, paid Airgarage at pay.airgarage.com, which is the site noticed on the "parking violation'" and which I hope is a legit Air Garage site. The payment was roughly twice the parking fee for 2 hours, which fee was, itself, abusive (but, I knew it was abusive when I agree to park there). I believe I am owed $26.Business response

1/21/24 I drove from ******** ** to ************, ** for a business dinner meeting. I parked in a lot across from the restaurant, ************************. I did not notice any signs stating having to pay to park. I figured it was Sunday so parking was free as in many cities. When I came out to my vehicle after dinner I noticed the "parking violation" on my windshield dated 1/21/24, 5:49 pm. The parking attendant was still at the lot and writing additional parking violations. I asked the attendant about my parking violation and told her I never saw any sign saying how to pay, that I was from out of town and being it was late Sunday afternoon I thought parking would be free. She told me many people say they don't see the sign with information on how to pay to park. I asked her how much the ticket was and she told me $20.00. I figured I would pay it the next day Monday at my office as I had my business customer from out of the *** with me and he needed to get back to his hotel. When I went to pay this parking violation it was now $54.00. I paid the $54.00 however I am very irritated about how your company gouges people who are unaware of your parking instructions. I have never had a parking violation from AirGarage and would appreciate your company to refund the $54.00. Thank you,*********************** ********************** ************Business response
