Until it came time to cancel Clearway to move to a less expensive company, everything was great. However, now we are paying TWO monthly fees, one to Clearway and one to Clearview (the new energy supplier. I was told that there is no Clearway cancellation fee, which is true. However, I was told by them 6-8 months of payments are still required, along with my new Clearway energy supplier bill. On the new company, *********, there is a $150.00 contract early termination fee. So, I am stuck paying TWO bills every month for the next 6-8 months, and we THREE double bills!!! We are retired folks, with no extra money to continue making both of these monthly payments. Can you do anything to help us? SCAMMERS, I canceled clear way in August 9 2023. They told me 8 months it's been 8 months and I'm still paying. I told them they're not getting any more money from me to take me to court they are ridiculous.Clearway Community Solar Response

I signed up for clearway 6 months ago and I absolutely love it. All of these reviews with 1 star or 0 stars are completely false. Clearway is nothing as to what other reviews are saying. My electric bill is usually around $500 a month but ******* are higher and I save a great deal of $$ each month. I 100% recommend this company to anyone if youre looking to save some money. The rep that came to help me apply was the nicest young man and offered to help me bring in my groceries. These people really do care about you and arent just trying to scam you. I also enjoy that clearway isnt a 3rd party program so it gives me relief that I wont be shut out of the program. Im on this program for 20 years and I wish it was longer!Clearway Community Solar Response

Cancelled in December. I am still getting billed even though my contract agreement only required 90 days advance notices, no cancellation fee and I do not need to have a replacement. I would NOT recommend this company. They do not honor their agreements. If this continues I will get an attorney involved.Clearway Community Solar Response

Clearway energy are a predator. They perform illegal sales activities, entering no solicit zones without care. They particularly take advantage of the elderly and handicapped, be it physical or mental. These are snake oil salesman. If you see them in your neighborhood, warn your neighbors immediately. This site requires that I leave a star rating. Unfortunately, they do not have a fractional star rating or a sub zero star rating.. therefore, due to my limitations, I will give them one star but truly I would put them in a negative -10 stars.Review from Jason G

I don't want to say anything negative about solar power because we so desperately need to change our energy sources, but my patience with Clearway has run out. They overestimated my energy use so my bills from the beginning were higher than my NG bills. I requested a scale down, but they said that would take 4 months due to agreements with NG and the state. I was patient for a while but then got fed up and cancelled. The scale down finally went through about 3 months after cancelling, but the bills are still too high. It has now been 8 months since I cancelled, and the end is nowhere in sight. Now I have to get lawyers involved. Yuck.Clearway Community Solar Response

I cancelled my account with ********************** on 12/26/2023. I think it's absolutely criminal that they'll take up to 8 months to cancel. I call this "Extortion". I've had solar panels on my house rooftop for 2 months now and don't need or want their services anymore. I think, along with a lot of others, that your company is a Scam and will be placing my own complaint with the BBB, also I plan on calling my ************************* to complain.Clearway Community Solar Response
