    I have been a Clearway Community Solar client since September 2017 and I am extremely satisfied with the service. The savings monthly are HUGE!! My average electric company bill is paid by the surplus energy credits I earn from my panel's production. I have earned over $20,000.00 since enrolling. This is one of the best decisions I have made regarding my electric service. highest recommendation!!

    I cancelled my clearway account back in August of 2024 due to an unresolved dispute that put me in the middle between Clearway and Eversource. ********** made some system changes that impacted how they received external credits. Somehow that system didn't jive with how Clearway was providing those credits and it resulted in extremely high bills from both companies at the same time for me. I made numerous phone calls with representatives from both companies. Neither company was willing to exert much effort to reconcile, and neither would communicate with the other - keeping me in the middle. As a result, I just ended up cancelling clearway (and got confirmation of cancellation) to not deal with this headache anymore! It is now May 2025 and my account still hasn't been cancelled and they keep sending me bills. I have paid my bills but this account should have been cancelled by now. I will begin looking into litigation as this is unacceptable. I will never recommend clearway!

    I recently moved and emailed them to cancel my account. The response was that I have to provide proof with my last bill from my previous location and first bill at my new location (Uh? Why?). If I've moved in with someone they want a notarized statement from that person that I don't pay the utilities and if I'm renting they want a statement that my utilities are included in my rent. HUH?? They need this why exactly? I'm seeing others saying it took 8 months or more to cancel.Anyone interested in a class action lawsuit? Time to lawyer up.

    Ive been a Clearway member for several years and have experienced savings with the solar refunds based on solar farm production. Electronic billing is convenient and I have no complaints about service. We wanted solar without the holes in the roof and hassles of maintenance . I would recommend Clearway as a small step to halt climate change that individuals can take easily. We also drive electric cars and have ground source geothermal heating and cooling.****** London

    The folks at Clearway Community Solar are shady. They generate my monthly bill on the 6th and I do not get the bill until after the 19th. This leaves only a few days to get the payment to them or it is past due. Then they harass you with multiple calls every day the bill is late. I've spoken to them SEVERAL times about it. Each time they want me to pay electronically (which I will not). I learned today that if you cancel your account, they still bill you for 6 more months. All of their service representatives are outsourced outside the United States with poor English skills and difficult to understand accents. I believe this is a scheme to get their customers to all pay electronically or something. I wouldn't trust these guys with anything.

    If I could give 0 star I would.. SCAM! BE AWARE! As you will see in many of these reviews, it is TRUE what people are saying. A man showed up at my front door and stated that they were contracted with National Grid and help consumers lower their monthly bill. Little did I know, I'm paying DOUBLE what I normally pay. There is NO discount. They make it seem like you are saving 7% but when you average it out, you are paying MORE. Also, I cancelled less than 1 month into signing up and the lady stated you aren't placed on a farm yet so you won't be charged. Come Jan 2025, they are calling me stating that I owe $431.85... mind you I have not lived at that location since Nov 2024. They said it will take 8 months to cancel because (coming from the MANAGERS mouth), they can not leave the farm with no-one, someone needs to pay... They said they can not stop billing me but once they found out I did not reside there, they stated, oh well if that is the case we will get them to terminate immediately... like WTF. You can't cancel my account for 8 months because you can't leave your farm empty but you can cancel IMMEDIATELY because I no longer live at that address? All I have to say is, be careful. If you choose to go with Clearway make sure you document everything because they def do not deserve A+ Accreditation. I could go on about the conversations I had with their manager but please read everyone's reviews and if you choose to take the chance, good luck!

    The most horrible experience ever!!! I had Clear Way since 2021. I wanted to change my name on the account as my Husband was no longer here. They would not. Then I canceled the account in September. I changed my account with My Excel in only my name.. After that I received a Bill from Clear way. I called they said it would be my last bill and it was because of how they bill out.. Well Ok I paid that bill. Now I get another bill and Mind you it is over 200 dollars. They are saying they are 3 mths behind.. weoll that is not possible because there is no longer an account attached to the Clearway account. Now I am also being told mind you after many phone calls. Now being told after the account with ********************** is finally paid up I will get a 600 dollar closing fee.. This place is a rip off...

    We have been a Clearway Community Solar customer for many years. I still remember when the young man came through our neighborhood trying to sign people up for their solar farm. It was a new idea, at least for me, and I liked it. It is only slightly cumbersome because I have two electric bills instead of one: one to my electric company and one to Clearway Community Solar. I have them both on auto-pay so it works very smoothly. I get credit for the electricity that Clearway Community Solar provides from my account to my electric company. My total cost is less because the electricity I get from Clearway is cheaper than the electricity from my electric company. The savings is not substantial, but I like the idea of harnessing the power from the sun instead of burning fossil fuel. It has been a good deal for us.

    HORRIBLE!!!CleayWay Community Solar scammed me! They even took money out of my checking account without my authorization. When I first signed up, they told me that it would be easy to cancel and that there are no cancellation fees. Well, now they told me it will take at least 8 months to cancel my contract with them and am responsible for paying these bills until I personally find someone to replace my spot. Im a single mother of multiple children and I have no time for this.I have been on the phone with them multiple times and all they do is try to manipulate you into believing that youre somehow saving money with their solar credits. My utility bill doesnt even have the name ClearWay on it, just Other Chargesand now Im stuck with paying 3 different companies just for electricity!

    This business makes canceling an account impossible even if you do everything they say. I am going to have to take legal action to handle this! AVOID at all costs. Support solar another way.
