  100% Agree with all the prior reviews. I have no savings, in fact I am paying significantly more to the Clearway on top of my National Grid ****. The "Savings" is less than I am paying them. It is either a scam, or incompetence. I tried to cancel several months ago to no avail, and received an apparent decrease in my credits. **************** is also rude and useless.

  Clearway Community Solar is a company i used to work for. Locked in rates are a much better option. Clearway takes 20 years worth of energy credits (taxpayer dollars) from the state, and graciously gives you a small portion of credits depending on your remote production. In ******** it does not make sense to do his program because we have locked rates and city rates. I cancelled in March, and am now being charged for 4 months of production. Contractually it states 3 billing cycles, but they continue to produce power in your name anyway. The product does not perform wellin the market at all, even if you have all the correct information before diving in.

  Clearway is doing the same thing to me trying to say that I initialed their contract &showed me the initials that were clearly copied&pasted onto each spot that required an initial. I told them those are not my initials b/c I initial things a certain way &that is not it&my son and I cut each initial out&put them on top of each other& its the same exact initials copied& pasted onto each spot that required initials so then they sent me another letter with my supposed signature on it because I told them that I do not sign contracts with my initials because I know how to write script& I would never sign a contract with my initials so they found someone to sign my name& tell me that it is my signature on July 22, 2021 but I was not in ******** that day to sign that contract& the signature is definitely not mine. Today I received another letter stating that I owe $669 because I could not find someone to replace my purchase of these solar panels& they also stated in todays letter that I have not responded to any of their correspondence to which I just sent them a screenshot of my email list which has 8 emails to them clearly shown that I have responded to them 8x since March even though this is not my contract&I told them that&I am forwarding all paperwork to the attorney generals office in Rockland Cty&to the Better Business Bureau b/c this is a complete scam& I know they are doing this to numerous senior citizens in this cry& they get scared& pay it right away so Clearway has these false contracts& the money that they are not paying taxes on obviously. Please look into this company &please help us stop getting scammed by companies like this who are so desperate that they will beg, lie&steal to get any amount they can from each& every person they fraudulently signed the contracts for so please help usAll that had written you with the same exact information on the same scam by Clearway CS!Please do not let them get away with this scam&harrassment after for payment!

  This company is a complete **** I cant believe national grid allows them to connect to your account. They completely lie when they door knock, they took advantage of the fact that I was not home. They had my son sign some paperwork by telling him that he was already part of the solar farm and he just needed to sign this to receive the discounts. You do not save money in any way! What they do is a triple charge you your monthly electric **** and send credits to national grid for only a third of what they charge you. Its impossible to talk to anyone who isnt a telemarketer from a different country. Trying to cancel with them is nearly impossible they literally laugh at you and then the line disconnects. Ive had to report them to the Attorney General only to find out that theyre not even regulated in the **********************.

  I have just begun the process of leaving clearway. I am most bothered by not only the money demanded but the lost opportunity to save our planet. We have been schooled into something that is alarmingly significant. shame on you.Personally I believe in KARMA and so as you enjoy the fruits of misinformation your souls will pay the price

  Clearway Community Solar is a SCAM... The nightmare that keeps giving..... We are like so many that have written a poor review. I can not believe Excel Energy in ********* would partner with such an organization. NIO customer Service.... Our situation: Years ago we were approach by one of Clearway's sales person and given the sales pitch as with all our neighbors. Sound like a good thing... bad mistake in hindsight. It took years for anything to happen and now been getting billed for just short of a year. We sold our house and have been trying to get out of this agreement. What a joke... it feels like it is impossible.... Again in hindsight.... the sales rep. totally misrepresented this program... all to get us to sign up. They say we will have to continue paying the bills unless we find someone to take over our contract (again, not what we were sold). Their customer service (call center) is in *************** which has been of little help... I am now contacting Excel Energy to their help...

  After having argued with Clearway Community Service via their customer support, I thought Id make the situation public. They are a fraudulent entity that refuses to take responsibility or credibility for their actions. We began the process of cancelling our account on March 4th and were told that the only bills needed to be paid were the three months leading up to March by a representative named Dione. Even though those were paid. Then a second representative apologized profusely for the misinformation we received since were still being billed, but then proceeded to tell us it would take six months to cancel, there would be a $600 charge, and that nothing could be done about despite the fact we had been given information to otherwise at a previous date. Furthermore, the representatives of Clearway are third party hires whom have a habit of selling the product in high english-second-language communities where miscommunication and misunderstanding is impossible to avoid. This entire situation is disgusting and frankly speaking a horrid representation of the clean energy movement. We should not be bound to an inherently exploitative and aggressive contract that was intentionally marketed in a community where people may not, will not, or cannot comprehend the severity of the contractual obligations and nuances that this body demands. It is disturbing that they have gotten away with it and frankly I encourage everyone here to convince your municipalities to follow suit as **********, *****. These actions deserve retribution, either through appropriate legal channels or by having this company drown in litigation. Its time to make this right.
