I've contacted Yahoo's copyright division about this issue, and they've done nothing. On a daily basis I get 20 to 30 emails from people that don't use a legit Yahoo address, it's always a combination of 4 letters, numbers @yahoo.com. sometimes they contain adult material, other times I'm told that a business has a crdit or prize for me. I just want it to stop.

Yes these are emails going to my spam folder, but I shouldn't have to receive emails with adult, porn or phishing content. I've asked Yahoo to bock all email from Yahoo going to my AOL email account, they've refused.

The nature of this dispute is Yahoo failing to recover an email I've used in the past. They lack basic knowledge in recovering a long-time user's email and they don't even bother trying to recover the email for me, even though the email has been hacked they can ask for verification or at least proof that the email belongs to me. I want to get it resolved as quickly as possible. Yahoo says there's nothing that can be done about it but I literally paid money to even have basic phone support in the first place and all they can say is that nothing can be resolved. I on one had think that is a complete lie, I'm sure they can do more to recover my account even though it been a long time.

I am having issues accessing my Email from Yahoo. Over and over I have tried to attain my own login details but I keep getting denied. I have tried to use the built in password Recovery tools, but each time I am met with "I cannot access this account at this time". I am unable to set up a recovery email or even touch the account which has led me to losing paid content that is linked to the email. I am requesting that I get sent my own login information to the account "*************************" to my attached email.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/03/30) */ We understand that you'd like to reset the password for your Yahoo Mail account. We're sorry but it looks like we don't have enough information on this account to securely verify your identity as the account owner. Because we can't confirm it's your account, we won't be able to help you with this particular Yahoo ID. We recommend creating a new Yahoo ID at login.yahoo.com, clicking Sign up at the bottom of the "Sign in" window, and then follow the onscreen instructions. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/04/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) This is the who reason I use the BBB. Whenever I tried to verify I was the account owner. You shut me out of my own account. Replaced my verification email. As well as when I answered my own security questions. All the options you have taken away from me the rightful owner of the account. You took my email from me, and email which I have been using for 6 years through a 3rd party application. You don't ask my security questions. You don't ask for any sort of security questions. You just locked me out of my own damn account.

I had an online subscription to a yahoo site Tiger Illustrated. My username is *********. I decided to cancel my subscription and did so several months ago. Since it was already paid up through May 26 2022 I still have access to the site until then which is fine. I paid for it and should have access to it. Today I went to remove my credit card billing info from their site. They have no way for a customer to remove their credit card info manually. I got online with their customer service chat and was told they could not remove my credit card info from their site and that I should call back in 0n May 26. They would also not connect me to a supervisor. This is unacceptable to me. They need to have a function to remove the credit card on their site and CERTAINLY should remove it after being contacted and requested. They already have my money and have no reason to continue to have my credit card info stored on their site. I want them to remove my credit card info from their site asap. I consider it to be a risk, as a consumer, to have my credit card info stored on Yahoo servers for no reason.

      Business response

      05/26/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/03/30) */ The Yahoo team will reach out to Mr. ******* regarding his credit card information. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/04/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) No I do not accept their response. It is the same stale they do not want to remove the credit card info until my subscription is over response I have always heard from them. They say it is a "system" issue. If that is the case and they do not even control when they can take the information off the system it is even more troublesome. Please note BBB I have ALREADY paid for the subscription and have CANCELLED further subscription services. There is absolutely no reason for them to have my credit card information and I want it removed ASAP. Yahoo has no right to decide when they remove my credit card billing info. It is simple to me. They will evidently let me CHANGE my billing info but not DELETE my credit card info. Their system issues are not my problem as a consumer. I have rights to my privacy and it is not dictated by Yahoo's "System". I hear no solution from Yahoo only inflexibility and excuses. This is unacceptable to me. I want my credit card info deleted from their "SYSTEM" ASAP. I need your help BBB Yahoo obviously thinks they are too big to help one individual customer. Their response is below for your review. Hello Mr. XXXXXXX, I understand that you would like to remove your credit card information from Yahoo before your subscription is up. Unfortunately, we are unable to remove your credit card information from the system before your subscription is up. The system Yahoo uses for billing will not give an option to remove the information, otherwise we would be more than happy to do this for you. Keeping your credit card information on file until your subscription ends helps prevent any billing issues that may arise. I apologize that I am unable to help you further but as soon as your subscription is up we will be more than happy to remove your credit card. If there is anything else that I can do for you please let me know. Warm Regards, ***** Yahoo Concierge Team Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/04/05) */ The Yahoo team has received Mr. *******'s rebuttal but unfortunately we are unable to delete any credit card information before the subscription has ended. The Yahoo team apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause. Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2022/04/18) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) There is no proposed solution from Yahoo to consider. There is no offer of resolution of any kind. Looks like the BBB needs to step in here. Having a business keep a cancelled customers credit card info on their servers until they decide to delete is illegal, especially after being requested to delete. Yahoo has offered no remediation other than they are sorry. It is obvious you are a sorry organization. Yahoo has also previously been hacked and personal data compromised. Keeping my financial data on your servers is a risk to my financial welfare. Yahoo it seems is just keeping the credit card info on file so they can charge me again when the current already cancelled subscription term expires. BBB of San Jose needs to act on this consumers behalf and place an alert on Yahoo's BBB profile warning customers that Yahoo does not remove personal financial data from their servers upon request.

I recently changed phone numbers and failed to update my recovery number with my Yahoo account that I have had since before 2011. I use an iPhone and not required to enter my password anymore since the original set up and it is still logged in. I recently received a message from the credit bureau stating that I should change my password for my email because it was compromised on the dark web. To prevent anyone from accessing my personal information I wanted to take the necessary steps to ensure nothing happens. Now, it is only giving me an option to send a secure access code to my old number so I can log in. I am attempting to log in from the same phone and computer that I have before. I have attempted numerous different avenues of contacting yahoo to resolve the issue, however, the only avenue that appears it will be any help is a paid premium service which I do not want. All I want is to speak with a representative and change my recovery phone number so I can access my email, and I should not have to pay for such a small task. I would create a new account, however, I have numerous accounts connected to this email address and would need access to my emails to determine which companies contact me through that email. That is a ridiculous task for such a small fix. Hopefully I can get this resolved through this process.

I have to go thru yahoo to get access to my Att.net account. Yahoo went down March 22, 2022, came back up March 25, 2022. Now it has been up and down since then, cannot depend on the account. I have been working with ATT, they have started talking to their supervisor about the issue. I feel that this should be reported to the FCC, maybe they can get something done. ATT is working on it, I expect a phone call from att Monday March 28, 2022. I will discuss them what has happened. As I understand yahoo bought out ATT, maybe they need to reverse the purchase, this was in 2014, yahoo has been down very often since then.

Yahoo Finance has a cancel button for the subscription service, but it doesn't actually allow you to cancel . It only give you the option to downgrade. The cancel button just closed the screen. I have tried to contact support and they say you have to cancel on the website. They are not helpful at all to help resolved this

Yahoo! is preventing me access to my account (********************), which is my personal e-mail that I've used for 10+ years and haven't changed my password in over a year or two. Then suddenly earlier tonight, I was logged out of it from my Mail app on my iPhone and MacBook (both have been signed in for over a year) and can't sign in on web browser. Now I don't have access to any of my online accounts or any way to contact a future employer of mine that is sending confidential onboarding details and paperwork to fill out before I am to begin working. This e-mail is also tied to my personal bank accounts and credit unions, which I cannot even make changes to without being able to get into e-mail to receive generated codes. I have called their "help" line **************** as they stated on site (which turns out is an unethical tactic) on Match 11th 2022 at 1:57am the representative tried to make me pay a $4.99/mo fee to get access to my account but when I refused, due to having read up on their business practices by people in similar situations on online forums; stating that even after paying they still don't let you back into your account. So once I made her aware of this she put me on hold to see what can be done then came back moments later to say nothing can be done and hung up. So if I would have paid that fee, they still would have not given me access to my account just as others have stated. I need to get into my account as there is sensitive information in there and coming there over the next few days.

I am requesting that YAHOO allow me to delete my OLD email account (********************) and its files which contain financial and other personal ID information. I tried to do this on my own, but was unsuccessful. On Jan. 20, 2022, I called the "Help" number at YAHOO. The rep said she couldn't solve my problem unless I pay them a sum of money. Requesting money seemed unethical and suspiciously like what a hacker would do to get me to ransom my own files. After that conversation, on Jan. 20, 2022, I wrote to the Chairman and CEO of Verizon in NYC (owner of Direct TV, the latter being owner of Yahoo) and as a result, I received an undated 3-line letter from "****" at Yahoo Concierge Team (************) informing me I should change my password to get into my account. (Of course, I tried that several times before I contacted them.) On February 24, 2022, I received a call from"********," who took down the information and said she would pass the issue along to the "Escalation Team." It has been nearly one month and I have not received a call, email, or satisfaction of my request. This is IMPORTANT in view of the public being urged to make our online information SECURE. I am 82 years old and all I ask is that I gain access to my OLD personal email (********************) containing ID nos., bank accounts, private correspondence, etc. so that I can delete them. Thank you.

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) is requested to investigate-review multiple-numerous issues of SPAM-virus and security issues at YAHOO.com. The Internet Service Provider Yahoo.com is being used to forward SPAM-virus to distribution lists of individuals and community-government organizations. The Yahoo.com SPAM-virus communications include large picture files and nonsensical communications delivered daily. The fraudulent Yahoo.com email addresses violate terms of service and terms of use policies and should be terminated. YAHOO.com does not offer customer service or a direct means of communication to manage the abuse-violations being conducted through their website. In fact, Yahoo.com requests-requires payment in order to report abuse-violations, request support, or send communications about violations. This matter is being requested for immediate investigation-review by the Better Business Bureau and for escalation to the executive management at Yahoo Headquarters.
