I had a 2015 Honda Civic financed through American Honda Finance. It was purchased at ************************************************************** financed through American Honda Finance. This vehicle was paid off in full April 2021.I was never sent my car title or Lein release. I have contacted Honda Finance at multiple times requesting my title. Most recently June 3rd the representative I spoke with said that yes my car was paid in full but around that time they has computer updates and went from sending a paper title to transfering them d electronically to DMV. They also stated that due to the computer update DMV at that time wasn't accepting online yet. I was told that I would be sent a certified notarized title lein release form and that I would have to take that to dmv to get my title. That release firm never came.I called back again on June 20th and spoke to another representative who research my account and told me they would get soneone to notarized the lein release form that day and get it sent to me. I had them verify my address and Information. At this time I still have NOT revieved any lein release form or title for my car that was paid in full in 2021.I want my car title!

Payoff of an existing lease: called on 6/14/24 and was informed by the first agent with whom I spoke that an odometer form and power of attorney form were still needed. I had included an odometer statement but was never informed a power of attorney was needed. So far, I have yet to receive any mail from Honda Finance. During the call I was disconnected from Honda finance. I called back and got a different rep, and he was able to see my odometer form, but said a power of attorney form was still needed.I sent the power of attorney form to the provided address in ******, *****, and it was received on June 17, 2024. However, when I contacted Honda Finance on June 19, 2024, I was told that there was no record of the form being received and was promised a follow-up call.Honda has had my funds, over $23,000, since June 4, 2024. Was informed that they found my POA. However it was then faxed to another location for approval. As of June 27, no title for the Honda. Honda has had our payment since June 4. I called today and was informed that your title department has not yet acknowledged receipt of the necessary paperwork. no further asst ******** June 20, I received a letter containing forms that needed to be filled out and returned. The letter was written on June 7, mailed on June 10, and took until June 20 to reach me. These forms were available on your website, yet your company opted to send them via mail leading to unnecessary delays.Had I not proactively contacted your agents to find these forms online, I would have been unaware of the requirement until June 20. I sent the completed forms via ***** which were received by Honda on June 17. However, your title department still does not have the necessary forms. Can anyone help me resolve this issue promptly? As of Today 7/3/24, the title transfer has not been "Approved" according to the agent I spoke with on the phone.I have been promised 3 times to receive a supervisor call back, which has not happened.

      Complaint: 21937715

I am rejecting this response because:
It is now July 18th.  Payoff on vehicle received on June 6th, 2024. I have not yet received my title.  They received their "required" paperwork on Monday July 15th 2024.  Paperwork, that until they sent to me I did not even know that it was needed.  I had previously sent my ***** number, allowing them to overnight my title, but nothing yet.  This complaint will not be closed until I receive my title.  Honda has already cost me over $170 in finance fees, as I have the vehicle sold but can not complete sale until I get my title.  Not closed until I receive title.

      Complaint: 21937715

I am rejecting this response because:  I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY TITLE! The fact that this business says my complaint has been resolved is a real view into their customer service and complete incompetence.

This complaint is not resolved, as I do not have the title.  They have now had my payment for the vehicle for 49 days.  I will also be charging them interest from June 30th, taking them to small claims court.  I have seldom seen the kind of incompetence from a company such as American Honda Finance.

They have had my payment since June 4th, over $23,000.  As of this writing I still do not have the title for the leased vehicle I purchased.  How they can possibly call this closed is just another example of their incompetence!

I recently discovered that I am a victim of identity theft. While reviewing my credit report, I noticed an account opened in my name without my knowledge or consent. I promptly contacted the creditor to request proof of my authorization for this account. However, I have not received any documentation or evidence from the creditor verifying that I initiated or authorized the opening of this account. Given the lack of evidence provided by the creditor, it is evident that this account does not belong to me and has been fraudulently opened using my personal information. Below are the details related to this incident as found in my credit report:Account Name: ******************************************* Account #: #*********

This business charged off a vehicle lease agreement without ever notifying or contacting me about it by any means, I have no email history or phone calls ever attempted. It affected my credit vastly. I am an active duty member of the United States Armed Forces currently serving a very demanding and strenuous tour of duty as United ******************* Drill Instructor, my schedule is very busy and I hardly get any time off since the start of my tour in May of 2023. Before this I was on time with every payment, due to my busy schedule I left my ex-wife in charge of making the payments for this account however I was never once notified that she had stopped making the payments. I was never given a charge off contract by the company or any kind of notice of such.

My son's car stalled on the highway at 10:30 pm and I know it is because of the fuel pump module recall. I received a letter from Honda stating the safety recall and the symptoms of his car mirror the symptoms of a inoperable fuel pump module. My son had the car towed to ***** Honda and he will require a rental. I refuse to wait for parts because I also have a Honda Civic, his is a 2018 and mine is a 2019. I plan to call my lawyer regarding my rights in the morning and how to proceed legally. Please contact me immediately at ************.

My car, 2021 Honda Civic, was totaled in a car accident on April 7, 2024. My insurance company sent a settlement letter on April 16, 2024. Honda Financial advised it would take ***** business days for the settlement to go through on their end and gave a date of May 14th for this to be settled. I called Honda Financial on May 15th to check on the status. At that point, they informed me that they did not have the title to my car from the Honda dealership. This was the first notice of this missing title. They sent me an "application for a duplicate title". I signed the application and sent it to Honda's Sarcramento and Georgia address, as well as emailed the papers to them to ********************************************* I asked for this, so that I could keep track of my paperwork. This was all sent on May 28th. I waited 10 business days to allow the papers to make it in the mail. I called Honda Financial on June 11th to ask if they made any progress from the application I sent. They stated they didn't have it, so I gave them my timestamp of May 28th and they finally came back and said they DID have the application. They were just waiting for DMV to send the title and it could take 8-12 WEEKS. I explained that I cannot continue to make car payments on a totaled car because of a title that was not my fault. I asked if they could put the account on hold, since the issue was on their end. They said they cannot do that and that I need to continue to make payments or it would be reported to the credit reporting agency. So, I decided to take off of work and go to DMV to get the title myself. DMV printed out confirmation that the title was mailed to Honda Financial on June 11th. They said they cannot send it electronically. Again, I waited for the documents to be received in the mail. I called today, June 20, 2024, as this was 7 business days . Honda Financial is stating they do not have it yet and once they receive it, it could take another 14 business days to process with the ins. company.
