Requested my business profile *************************, CPA be removed as my business ceased trading. Submitted first request in July ************************************** the past year (over 15)The first request remains outstanding and has not been acted on I work for the government tax authority and cannot be working in accounting on the side whatsoever This Mapquest listed continues to publish my operating hours, business logo, personal address, personal phone number, and personal email address This has to stop now . I never authorized Mapquest to publish any ad about my business to begin with

So this company or LLC for MapQuest probably listed as a Doing business as. Has created a listing of my company without my permission. The only reason this is concerning to me is because of the inaccurate information posted on this site. It says I have been in business for 20 years which I have not. I only have been in business 1 month. This could I believe potentially get me in trouble for advertising false information. I own the Company Broken Robot Specialist and wish to have the listing from Mapquest taken off immediately. I recently registered with the BBB and wish to keep the integrity of my business up to the fullest standards. Any information with this would be very helpful. If they do not take it down I am requesting at this time that they at least update it with my permissions of the edits to correct the problem because no one at the company has reached me regarding this problem. I have a screenshot of the request to get it taken down if needed. Thanks

Mapquest has my address incorrect on their system. I have tried to get this fix by using their process but I have failed several times. I am disabled and I receive a lot of deliveries. Getting my address correct is very important. When delivery drivers can't find the address they will return the food, medical supplies, or other item to their original location.

Hi there,

The MapQuest support team has addressed the issue and you should have received a response to your previous email or ticket. Please keep in mind that, as the email response states, MapQuest gets mapping data from partners. It will take 2-4 months to update the location. MapQuest already indicates the address on the correct street within 200' of the actual location.

We see one contact from you about this address from May 14 which was addressed and responded to on May 21. Please send the ticket numbers of the other contacts and we can see when any other reports were sent to our data provider and get a more accurate estimate of when the issue will be resolved.

I am rejecting this response because: I can't wait for months to get this fixed. The U.S. ************** has the correct location. Amazon also has the correct location. I am a disabled Veteran who is mostly housebound. I count on home deliveries to fulfilled most of my needs.

I am a physician and map quest has listed an address for me in ********** which I never had any association with. The issue is also it is listed as CLOSED bussiness. This is the link. ********************************************************************************* My patients are questioning me "why was your practice closed?? As if I have had any wrong doing. MAPQUEST IS LIABLE FOR DEFEMATION.

To answer your questions...

1.What needs to be done to remove this search result from google?
As the 5/9/2024 response indicated, "When searching with a search engine, please note it may take 2-4 weeks to see the information removed as they will need to clear their search index. Thank you in advance for your patience." This is a fact of the ****** search.

2. Why did bbb.org have to get involved in order for mapquest to respond to my request?
As mentioned in the 8/8/2023 response, "Now, here comes that dreaded, Were receiving higher than normal volume message. Its true though. Rest assured well address this ticket as soon as humanly possible. Yes, were a team of humans." This is still true as our teams deal with millions of data points and thousands of requested updates.

I hope this clears up any confusion.

My company BareBones Bartending in ******* moved its location more than 3 years ago, and Mapquest has not updated to the correct location despite multiple requests.I have contacted Mapquest several times using their "report a problem" function and no one has responded to me or corrected the error.The old location is now a construction site and is dangerous for clients to arrive at, yet mapquest will not make the change.The INCORRECT listing states my business at ****************** (this address doesn't exist)The CORRECT listing should be BareBones Bartending ************************************************************** I would like this correction made.

My personal name and professional title is being presented as a business name with LLC appended to the end. The phone and url belong to a business of mine, however the name is different. The address is in a city and state where the phone number and url have no business and no customers.Failing to delete this listing: ********************** is sending their own customers/users to an address that has no services to offer, a phone number where they can't get help, and a url that does not apply to them.Screen print is attached.

I am rejecting this response because: They have made numerous claims over the past two years. Always a form letter and some verbiage along the lines of " we are experiencing high demand..."Then the gost out.
Another empty promise without follow through is not acceptable.

I am rejecting this response because:
MapQuest promised to remove the link and then simply did not remove the link.
Your response back today stating MapQuest removed the link.... you did not even look online before making that statement. All I had to do was enter the link and verify your statement is false.
Just like all my other requests through, your website, nothing changed.
I have uploaded a screen print of the link appearing today alongside today's headline from the ******************* Also uploaded full screen shot of MapQuest, today 5/15) showing current ads that are running today.

A ****** search shows multiple wrong listings. I have only one location. They have 4 different listings.
Looks like they did delete a listing, but not the listing in this dispute. The listing in this dispute remains active. Not just a link in ****** search, you can enter the link directly into the browser and get right to the page/link that needs to be deleted.
All of these attached in this update need to be deleted.
Name Address Phone (NAP) consistency is important. These variations are damaging to the *** efforts of LOCAL SMALL BUSINESSES. Why is NAP important for Local ***? Having correct NAP for all your listings across the internet is crucial for local ***. ****** scans all these listings when searching for information about your business. The data is stored and used when determining ranking.
It is better to have no listings with MapQuest than to have wrong listings. Please just delete it all and forget you ever knew me.

I am rejecting this response because:
It is still wrong. I try and I try, and you keep telling me you will change. But you don't. My personal name is still listed as a business. Please see screen prints from today's search.
Please remove any reference to my personal name.
Please remove my business phone number, and url, from any listings.
Please stop trying to correct the listing... just delete it and don't try to list it again. This breakup needs to be permanent. I don't have time to keep fixing you when you breakdown at every turn. You need to seek professional help (an experienced programmer perhaps), however, from all this chaos, it is clear that we are not a good fit for each other. Please pack up your listings about me and leave them in the dumpster on your way out.

MapQuest is not responding to my requests to remove my personal cell phone number from a business listing. The cell phone number is not for that business, and I continue to receive spam calls and texts that are clearly meant for the business.This is the listing: ************************************************************************************ I initially submitted a request to have my cell number removed on 11/2/24. Beyond a cookie cutter reply saying they were very busy and would take a long time to get back to me, I have heard nothing. I followed up with the support reply on 3/29/23 and again today. No responses since. I also tried to call the business number for MapQuest on this BBB listing (phone number:**************). I selected option 1 and then 2 to speak with someone about the business listing issue, and I was repeatedly sent to a person who answered "Hello" and then nothing else. Same thing happened multiple times. Seems like it was a pre-recorded message to "pretend" they were answering but basically the phone routing was a dead end. Ridiculous.

My business named Mr. ***** man ****** was permanently closed June 2018 I've been trying to get it removed from Map quest for years. I requested it be removed multiple times on their website and it never processed.
