They simply dont show up to pick up the garbage with no apology nor excuse. They are the absolute worst!

Oak Ridge Waste and Recycling of CT, LLC is the worst company don't do business with them, I have since the 2020, and For the last weeks they haven't picked up my garbage I already have two weeks calling for them to come and get their container Every time I call whoever answers the phone, doesn't know what to tell me, they are always lying I don't know what else to do to get out the container of my property

This company is deplorable. I sold my house in mid August of 2022. I had already paid in advance for the months of August, September, and October. I told the buyer that he could use Oak Ridge or any other service he chose and left it at that. In November the buyer called me stating that Oak Ridge refused to let him take over the account until I called them. I was no longer the owner but did call them to let them know that I did not own that house since August and would not continue to pay for a property I did not own, especially since the new owner wanted to pay. They had the audacity to argue with me claiming that I could not cancel without a written letter! I have never ever had a problem canceling any account for any service before this. Finally they agreed to cancel the account. For the next few months they sent me a bill for a small sum of $26.85 without any description. I wrote back that I had already paid for two additional months after I sold that property and did not owe anything. They were quiet for the next 45 days, yet I just received another bill from them for this same amount without any reference to my many letters or with any reference for what this bill is for. This is the most unethical company that I have ever encountered and I would strongly recommend to anyone that if at all possible you contract any other waste removal service instead of Oak Ridge.

I gave one star because it was required. All the bad reviews? Yes, better believe it! I read them all and it is all truth. The two, I think there’s two, who said the had great service? No, I don’t believe them. My sister who had them, and was very tolerant in waiting days past her contracted pick up day, has now canceled. She’s now more than eight days waiting for her barrels to be picked up. What a mess this company is. Stay away. Most towns have choices. That’s a good thing.

From a business perspective, this organization treats its staff like the trash they claim to pickup from our homes. Leaders at Oak Ridge, which shouldn't be called that, micro-manage their employees to point of breaking down due to stress, refuse time off requests, and talk down to their staff in closed door and group meetings. From a personal customer perspective I've had many issues. I have been told that I am unable to change the name on my account that I inherited from the previous homeowner and need to contact the previous owner to cancel the account first. Countless times I have received phone calls that trash would not be picked up on time. Countless times I receive mailings about my account being overdue and when I call they tell me that their mailing company has made a mistake. Many times I have had my trash collected only to come home from work and find pieces of my trash floating around my yard. Every few months we are getting rate increases and there is no increase in performance of service. They should be ashamed about how they are running their business and will lose me and those I know as customers.

We chose Oak Ridge Waste when we moved to our town because our entire family was using them. Little did we know - they only used them because they bought out the company they originally used and didn't want to go through the hassle of switching over to the other company in town. Three years later and we're finally making the switch to a different company. Over the past 1-2 years we've had inconsistent pick up and usually they would only come on another day if we called and asked why it wasn't picked up on our original day. Every time we would call they would literally lie to us and tell us "they're coming, you're on the schedule... they will be there" and they would never come. They blamed staffing shortages - meanwhile our prices continued to increase and service still inconsistent. The old company that Oak Ridge bought out came back into town (YAY!) so we've made the move and they seemed to have ZERO issues staffing our entire town... must be no one wants to work for Oak Ridge maybe? Even getting them to pick up their bins is a complete night mare. Lie after lie... they even hung up the phone on me when I was confirming yet another bin pick up day. Just a serious nightmare with this company and really DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Oak Ridge waste repeatedly charges for trash pick up and they never come to pick up trash. Multiple calls every week pleading for service and a call back from management and no one calls. The company is stealing money by pre-billing two months at a time and then not showing up.

nothing but good things to say! They are always good about pick ups and if there is a weather issue or holiday, they always communicate that. The girls when you call in are very sweet!
