1 starWill never use this company ever again. They completely screwed me over on my claim (*******). I called over a year ago to get a broken pipe fixed for my property. I talked to a gal named Nicole and gave her all my information. After a week or so everything was moving just fine and I was told that I was covered. Two employees informed me that I was covered. Then all of a sudden I got ghosted from Travelers. I emailed Nicole and told her how unsatisfied I was with this process. She emailed me back and apologized and said that she was waiting on the contractor to give her the final cost of the bid. I contacted the contractor and they said they have already sent everything over. Nothing continued to happen and everything slowed down which I blame covid for. Finally earlier this year I contacted Travelers again to restart the process. I got a new quote and sent everything off to Travelers. When they contacted me I found out that Nicole no longer works there and that a guy named Brett would be assisting me with my claim. Keep in mind, my original claim was not closed instead it was just reopened. He looked over everything and after a couple of weeks, he called me and informed me that Travelers would not be able to cover the full cost as they said they would. Of course, there is some small print that basically made my issue not qualified. However, I was already told twice that I would be covered. I always spoke highly about Travelers but not anymore. Currently switching insurances as we speak.Review fromPeter E

1 starTravelers insurance is the absolute worst insurance company out there. After years of paying premiums, you file a couple claims within 3 years that are complete acts of God, and they reward you by dropping you and black listing you so you get to pay more than double your previous premiums. How is this even legal? This is an industry that needs reform.Review fromScott F

1 starTravelers insurance dropped the ball on our insurance claim (ITN2780). We had been working with JONATHAN G***** and her ineffective manager QUIANA WI******** and while it was determined by Travelers that we had suffered damage due to a power surge, the pay out has been painful. These two individuals do not return emails and they are seldom at work as all we get from them in time away excuses. The average response time from these two ineffective employees is around 10 days. They have closed the claim even though we have written email documentation from them that they will pay us the remaining amount. We will be contacting our legal council as travelers has done a breach of contract. I highly recommend that you do not use travelers to protect your home. They have non responsive clowns that are not customer facing and do want to help you. We have a valid claim that travelers has agreed to give us a pay out but the inept agents are just unable to complete because they are lazy. Pay them a bit more travelers.Review frompaul s

1 starthis is one bs company they told me i had to have receipts for personal property to claim a loss i had over a windstorm that damaged my house. these people absolutely suck and spend more time getting of of ways to pay claims using the fine print clause, in their policy that most people wouldnt expect to have to peruse they simply suck and you are better off going to a real insurance company their management and customer service are arrogant and rude and play the general counsel trump card if you have an issue. sue the **** out of them!Review fromClare V

1 starPromised a 30% discount by using intellidrive. My policy has been reduced 2% on renewal. Called Travellers ... "yes we gave you the 30% discount" - uhhh Bodily Injury - 6% down from last period Property Damage - 5% down from last period Medical - same Collision - up 20% Comprehensive - up 9% Me: so where is the 30% discount? Response: oh ** raised the rates for collision for all drivers by 3%. Ok so if ** raised the rates 3%, why did YOU raise the rates 20%?!!!!! "Uh well we still gave you 30% discount" - WHERE?????? He was getting angry with me at that point so I gave up. I'd rather stick with an insurance company that doesn't make egregious lies about renewal discounts.Review fromjoseph d

1 starAfter 3 years with this company there’s been a lot of issues. They somehow had the wrong vin number for one of my vehicles and after several months the mva sent me a hefty fine for not having insurance since vin wasn’t correct. A lot of billing issues saying I had t paid when I had proof from bank statements that I had paid so several wrongful cancellation from that. And as of today I found out I haven’t had insurance for several months because they mailed me a questionnaire that I didn’t receive so I didn’t fill out and turn back in so they cancelled my prepaid policy and they notified me by mail supposedly which I also didn’t receive so surprise I got a $1500 fine from the MVA for not having insurance when it was paid for but I was never notified that it cancelled besides the mail I hadn’t received. No email no mobile app updates! Go with literally anyone else I’ve used nationwide and progressive in the past and reinstated with them today I’m sure there will be far less issues. I’m not even going to go into all of the issues with home insurance in this review but steer clear.Review fromAnderson S

1 starVery incompetent - they went out to do a drive-by inspection of the property and inspected the wrong house and then cancelled my policy due to issues with the house next door because they thought it was mine.Review fromMia J

1 starLuckily I am only a prospective customer here, but the first interaction already showed me how deceiving they are. My new employer has a discount code for them, so I checked and found their quote is much lower than my current insurance. The interesting part here is after you make your selections online and have a quote, unlike other companies, you cannot finalize the quote online but to call the Customer line directly. Odd but I gave them the benefit of the doubts. I called them and after spending 30 minutes telling them every single info that any insurance agent has access to, they asked me to read them the selections I made in the quote. It's like they had no idea what I chose even though I already read them my Quote ID. After the Travelers agent copied what I had down to his system, he told me the correct quote should be 50% HIGHER than my online quote. He made no effort whatsoever to figure out why there is such a huge difference, even though I told him I can email him a screenshot, or a pdf of the quote as proof. It's like Travelers purposely made the online quote low to attract customers in, then force them to waste their time calling in so they can mentally coerce people to purchase the plan just because you had spent so much time with them. Deceitful company.Review fromPeter C

1 starMy family had been with Travelers for about 15 years and we were dedicated, loyal clients of theirs. We had both our home and auto insurance coverage with them. Their underwriting team made the unreasonable determination to drop our home insurance coverage/policy due to too many claims in a short period of time. Truthfully, each of those claims were totally unrelated acts of God that just happened to occur coincidentally in a short span of time. Instead of doing the right thing, Travelers dropped us anyway. Then, when I went with another insurance carrier in bundling both home and auto coverage, they reported to the state that my coverage had lapsed on my vehicles when it had not. I had to incur civil penalties for both cars thanks to Travelers not doing the right thing. I already loathe insurance companies in general, but Travelers has shown me WHY I do not trust insurance companies at all. Be very, very careful to ever do any business with this shady, money-hungry insurance company. They are THE worst.
