I filed a homeowners claim for storm damage to my roof and HVAC unit. I was told my deductable would be $4702. I paid it to get roofers started. After a month Travelers finally paid the rest of the roof cost. The HVAC estimate came in a few days after initial roof estimate that the adjuster gave. HVAC unit was estimated to be $7814.00. I hired the company to replace it then sent my invoice to travelers for payment. I was sent $6099. Amount was below what travelers even said they would pay. The excuse was that part of my deductable was to go towards that. This was untrue as the roof was the first estimate I had gotten which clearly stated the deductable. The HVAC estimate was fully covered after I had paid my deductable. The whole HVAC job was $8083.00. So I'm expected to pay over $1900 out of my own pocket after already paying a $4702.00 deductable. I have filed a complaint with the NC Insurance Commission in hopes it gets resolved but I will ensure this experience is publically displayed for anyone considering Travelers insurance.

Zero. Worst insurance company on earth. Will not cover anything even things that are written in the policy. They will do what ever they can NOT TO COVER their customers. Reps are horrible and rude.

Horrible communication, finally got back to me after I called the supervisor. I have emailed and called with no response. We got our pool in June of 2016. The hole happened in May 2021. So we only had the pool and liner for 5 years. They said that we should have gotten a new liner. Everywhere I see says liners are good for 6-12 years. And the first guy they had come inspect the pool said the liner was in good condition with no holes or rips. By the time your “engineer” came, it had been over a year of having the hole. We ripped the liner so we could see the extent of the damage. We stopped taking care of the pool water this summer because it is a total loss, and we knew we would have to take it down. So of course the liner looked horrible by the time he came. I understand they don’t want to pay us anything. But I am extremely disappointed with the service and communication. They dragged this out for over a year now. I had to pay $300 for someone to come out and look at it (per their request). And they told me that the rust was from the hole. Interestingly, the 2 people they sent out said the hole was from the rust. Your first guy said the liner was in great shape, no holes or rips. Now this other guy comes out and says it was not in good shape? And the liner should’ve been replaced? Everywhere I look, it says liners are good for 6-12 years for an above ground pool. We were at year 5 when this happened. The pool was in good condition and we took good care of it. It is insulting to me that they are implying that we did not take care of our investment (the pool). We are both teachers and don’t have a ton of money. So this pool was a big expense for us. When we saw the hole, we were heart broken because we put so much money into having this pool and we thought it would last much longer than 5 years. It was a complete waste of time dealing with them. I am so disappointed with the company.

Travelers canceled my policy without a cancellation notice. I got pulled over because the state suspended my tag and I had to go to court to pay $438. My license could have been suspended. This insurance company is the worst

I had to select 1 star to write the review. But they don't even deserve 1 star. I am trying to get my roof replaced. I have had to call the complaint line 3 times now because the "professionals" do not return calls or emails. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to replace my while roof with $5882. I have been paying into this insurance for 12 years. Do not get Travelers home insurance. You will regret it.

Absolutely horrible interactions with this company for workers comp coverage on a small business plan. They will cancel your plan right in the middle of making agreed upon payments and send the correspondence to the incorrect address even though they were informed on more than one occasion of the address change.

Worst insurance company I have dealt with EVER. My dad got rear ended and we start going through our insurance (Travelers) to get a claim started. Got assigned to a Claims "Professional" who doesn't pick up her phone and even lying about calling us when clearly she doesn't even call. The only way I could communicate with her was through email. It took us 3 days to get a car rental. I thought maybe I could raise my concerns to their management/complaint department. Got a hold of a Claim Manager and explained to her the detail of what happened. Instead of trying to see my side of the story, she defended her employee by giving excuses like the high volume of calls and how their Claims Professional spend 95% of their time on the phone so that's why my call is not getting through. Basically, my claim is not that important to them because they have so many customers calling. I have dealt with other insurance company before and it was nothing like this. First and last time I will spend my hard-earned money doing business with Travelers. Stay far away from these guys if you don't want to get mistreated.

My Homeowners policy is due for renewal and i have not received a renewal policy from Travelers. When I look into it I found out Travelers had cancelled my homeowners policy almost a year ago and as per the agent they refunded the money to my credit card but never sent a notice of cancelation. It appears they cancelled my homeowners policy 2 days after I canceled my auto policy due to errors they made in the auto policy in a different state than where i am licenced. They take no responsibility for their mistakes and I am lucky nothing happened to my house in the 9 months i didn't have a policy. I wish I could give them zero stars.
