I have a Cinch Home Warranty. My central air does not work. They came out yesterday analyzed it. They said it needs a Freon charge and will come back in 11 days to do it. Is this some kind of a joke? Its 90 out and they want me to wait 11 days to get a Freon charge. This is ongoing I will report back to see how this is handled by them. ***********, ********

I recently bought a house with old A/C and heating systems but had a Cinch home warranty so I figured I'd be covered. Turns out my A/C is dead and my Cinch warranty is completely useless. The first problem was that they forced me to use a specific technician, who doesn't have an online presence. No ******** profile, no reviews, not anything. I didn't like that but I figured for a covered repair it would be okay. The second problem was that the Cinch warranty didn't cover $3500 of the expenses. Yes, you read that right. I figure the covered part is probably only around a quarter of the total cost of the repair and I'd be stuck with a technician that I don't trust. The third problem is that half of those expenses would have to be redone when I replace my heating system that is already on its last legs. So now I'm looking at a replacing the entire HVAC system and I'd be stuck with a technician that I don't trust. The fourth problem is that when I called to ask what the warranty was covering, I was told that they were going to send specific parts, not a unit. So now I'd be stuck replacing an entire HVAC system with a technician that I don't trust having to swap in (probably used and cheap) parts after spending nearly as much as a new system. So at this point I called off the entire thing and decided to just do it myself without the useless warranty.

I would give them negative 5 stars. They contract with unprofessional people. Broken air conditioner multiple times . Additional cost and still issues. They want your money but they dont want to fix your appliances . Biggest Scams in the business.

My fridge's in door ice maker quit working. I put in a service request with Cinch Home Services and they sent out a technician. The tech initially thought the problem was with the actual ice maker, he ordered parts and it was replaced promptly however, it didn't fix the issue. The tech did additional diagnostics and found the optical board was faulty. This part costs $760. Cinch Home Services claims to have ordered the parts, however, the service provider is saying they have not. I have had this issue open now over 5 months.

My grandparents have been customers for over a decade. They pay over $100 a month for service. Their washer broke. We called for service. Immediately charged a $150 deposit for service. They assigned Sears to come fix the washer yesterday, at least we were told. We tried for hours to get resolution or an answer from Cinch as to why they didn't show up yesterday.I contacted Sears home services, and they never received an order ( they wanted another deposit of course). My sweet grandparents are in their 90s and couldn't understand the middle eastern accents. I had some difficulty as well, but after numerous dropped calls, transfers, and six plus hours , we were finally able to talk to someone about canceling our policy. They were charged another $100+ for Sears to even consider coming. Noone from Cinch had contacted them I was told. Save your money people!! My grandparents could have bought a new house and all new appliances with the money they were charged in varies contracts, and co pays that they have been charged! I have dealt with a lot of corporate runaround and deceit, but NEVER anything like this..

Cinch Home Services has the worst customer service I have ever experienced! I've been a customer since 2007 when the company was Total Protect. I received wonderful customer service from Total Protect, but since it has switched over to Cinch Home Services, I have had so many problems. First of all, the monthly member billing has risen twice in one year. I would have been fine with this increase in cost if it was worth it to me. But when I submitted a claim to repair my stove on December 28, 2021, and not FINALLY receiving the service completed until April 2022, and many phone calls in between and many excuses, I was frustrated. I have spent hours on hold and talking to call centers in other countries with no real help. So when I cancelled my membership in March, I was told that I would not be billed for any further monthly payments. Well, I DID get billed on April 28! When I called that day, customer service told me I would receive a refund. Twice I was told I would be refunded. Now on May 11, a customer service rep told me that no, I would not be refunded for that payment as it was part of the annual membership. NOTHING in my contract said that I had to pay an entire year! The customer service from this company is abhorrent, do not sign up for a membership!!

Cinch is the worse home service plan since they took over from my old svc plan Home Protect! I am a senior and my upstairs bedroom hvac went out last week and before they even sent someone out I had to pay $125 for them to even send someone out. Diagnosed that I need a new compressor and Cinch said that I would have to pay the service person an additional $780 to have my air conditioner fixed. I have been paying them every month for over 3 years and before that Home Protect over 8 years (which they took over) and now I can't get my air conditioner serviced in my bedrooms. When in Savannah were I live the weather will be in the 90* next week and on! They are an awful company now. Home Protect was so much better!

Horrible company. I've been with this company for over 12 years and I've had my premium automatically deducted from my bank account each month. My A/C went out three years ago and I was told that I received a new unit. The unit went out seven times; after the sixth time, I sought my own A/C company and was not reimbursed. The unit is not working again, this time it's my inside unit and it cost me $4,311.00. I was advised that the company had no available technicians and I was to find my own service provider and I would be reimbursed. Today, I've discovered that my reimbursement will only be $1,881.00. I paid a $2,300 deductible at the initial installation and had to pay another $125.00 before receiving a service number. I would like to add that my previous A/C unit worked for 15 years. Please run from this company and I would suggest placing what you would pay in premiums to this company, put in an account. I've lost convince in this company and I'm moving on to a company that is sensitive to my repair needs. The purpose of a warranty company is not to leave the consumer destitute, this company has taken and taken from me with very little return.

Worst experience with a company…EVER!!! We sold our house in February and called and cancelled our home warranty. They have continued to charge us. We call every month and after sitting on hold for literally HOURS they tell us they will cancel, put us on hold, and never come back. I finally took a different route and disputed the charges with my credit card company. There is no way to remove the recurring credit card payment from their website. What a sorry excuse for a company!!!
