Dear BBB,I am submitting this formal complaint against Vacation Village at ******* due to their continued failure to address my repeated requests to cancel my timeshare contract. Despite reaching out multiple times, including a detailed request submitted in 2022, I have received no acknowledgment, follow-up, or resolution from the ************************* my 2022 correspondence, I clearly explained the serious personal and financial hardships that have made it impossible for me to maintain this timeshare. My wife, ******, passed away in 2021, and since then, I have undergone multiple surgeries that have made travel physically impossible. These health issues, combined with mounting financial challenges, have left me unable to use or afford the timeshare.I was a loyal and responsible owner for many years, making payments even during times when I could not use the property. I attempted to resolve this matter respectfully and in good faith, but the resorts ongoing silence and lack of compassion have only added to my distress. Most recently, I reached out to the resort again regarding my cancellation request, but once again, I received no response. This lack of communication is deeply frustrating and feels intentionally dismissive, especially considering the circumstances Ive explained.Vacation Village at Parkways refusal to acknowledge or process my cancellation request is not only deeply frustrating, it feels intentionally negligent. I am now formally demanding that my contract be terminated immediately and without further financial obligation.I am asking for the BBBs help in holding Vacation Village accountable and compelling them to take the appropriate and ethical action in response to this long-standing issue.Thank you for your time and assistance.Sincerely,******** *******

We're having a bit of a rough patch and life is lifing and really need to cancel our membership with you guys, like, right now. Me and my wife, ******, went to ******* for this supposedly free vacation deal you had. They told us it'd be just a 90-minute presentation, but it turned into this never-ending four-hour ordeal! They made it mandatory to attend, threatening that we'd have to pay for the whole Florida trip if we didn't. At first, I said no, but they just wouldn't take it. Then they dangled this so-called extra thing in front of us, saying it was free, but guess what? It wasn't! We got hit with all these extra fees for maintenance that they never bothered to mention earlier. And you know what's worse? When we tried to get in touch with those slick salespeople afterward, they were nowhere to be found! They made all these big promises about helping us sell the timeshare, but when we actually tried, it was like talking to a wall! Now we're buried under all these fees, and they're threatening us with legal action! We can't afford that kind of trouble! It feels like we've been totally scammed, and we can't seem to get a straight answer from anyone there! We just can't keep dealing with this. We need to get out of this mess, like, yesterday! We want every single ***** of our money back, and we want it done right now, no more waiting around! Please, do something about this before things get even *******. We've really had enough of this.

Since the time of purchase, I have come to the conclusion that I cannot uphold this commitment. During the transaction, I felt pressured, and in hindsight, I realized that I did not wish to acquire the timeshare. I signed documents without fully understanding their content due to the pressure exerted during the sales process. My main objective in going to the resort that day was to enjoy moments with my family, but unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by the constant insistence of the salespeople.Additionally, since the date of purchase in 2018, I have not used the timeshare at any time. Given that I have not received any benefit since then and considering the circumstances under which the transaction took place, I have decided to terminate this commitment. Please provide the necessary documents and steps to proceed with the cancellation of my timeshare contract. I appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.I look forward to receiving the required information as soon as possible.

I am facing serious medical issues that have made managing this timeshare and its associated costs even more difficult. I was assured that it would be an investment for my family and that it would be passed down to my children once fully paid off. I was misled into believing that maintenance fees would cease once the timeshare was paid in full. However, these fees have continued to rise by approximately $600 annually, creating an increasing and unanticipated financial burden. . I was never informed that maintenance fees would continue indefinitely or that such fees would escalate over time. The financial and emotional toll of managing the timeshare, combined with ongoing medical expenses, has created an untenable situation,

February 1, 2025, arrived at Vacation Village in ******, *******. Invited to attend an update. We were promised cash card and two other gift certificates if we attended a 60 minute timeshare update, was not a sales pitch. The two gift certificates were useless. Introduced to ****** in sales. Soon conversation turned to sales. ****** and another gentleman used high pressure sales tactics to buy another week / more points. ****** first quote was ****** for a week at Vacation Village. We declined. He came back with a second offer. ****** for Week 4. We said no. ****** brought someone out to further pressure us that this was an amazing deal and we would be crazy to refuse it. ****** came back with offer #3. He came back with an RCI Bonus Week. We said no, we wanted to be on our way. He and other man came back with an extra vacation week at no cost to us. This was written on a sheet of paper which we were never to see again. There were costs involved. We caved in. On to finance office. ****** ******* scrolled through 60 plus pages of documents on computer. Just e-sign where I've highlighted to/ show we understood and accepted everything she was going through. She knew we were tired. She said that I was not doing it right and it would go faster if she did it. We had been there all morning and into the afternoon. We were fatigued. We wanted to leave so we could enjoy our vacation. We did not feel comfortable with the purchase and wanted to get out. We called ****** 16 days later to cancel. We had questions. She became upset and said it was too late. At that point I wanted to file a complaint with the BBB but we were not yet home. We arrived home on March 1st. On March 3rd we looked into the EXTRA VACATION WEEK.. Called help number but woman couldn't help. No returned call. More calls. Found Extra Week would cost $264 plus $100. Confusing! We would like to get out of the contract as a result. ******* H. ******* ****** D. *******

This company bullied us into buying in. Took us to a remote corner of *****, high pressure sales, would not let us leave, felt threatened. My wife was not even allowed to use the restroom by herself. We finally agreed figuring we would call back and cancel so we could leave. Then we started trying to call back for the next week straight only to be put on hold, hung up on not answered and what appeared to be our number blocked. The money has been coming out of my acct up until this month when I had fraud probably also due to them. We have left several messages asking to relinquish this coerced mess to no avail

I feel completely misled and taken advantage of by Vacation Village. Despite owning my timeshare for years, I have never been able to use my home week, and every attempt to book has been met with obstacles, hidden fees, and pressure to spend more money. I was never informed of the restrictive booking policies, the need for points, or the endless upgrades they relentlessly pushed on me. Even after upgrading against my better judgment, I still faced the same issues. I have paid for something that has provided me no value, only financial strain. Given the deceptive practices and ongoing difficulties, I am demanding the immediate cancellation of my contract and a refund of any money I am entitled to.

I am filing this complaint against Vacation Village Resorts / Eldorado Resorts, LLC due to misrepresentation, deceptive sales practices, and failure to provide full contract transparency during the sales process.Issue Details:Misleading Sales Claims: I was told that if I chose not to proceed with payments, the contract would cancel automatically with no financial or credit impact. Now, I am receiving payment demands and threats of negative credit reporting, which contradicts what was verbally promised.Failure to Provide Full Contract Before Signing: The contract packet I received after signing states it should be read before signing anything, meaning I was not allowed to properly review the terms before signing. This violates fair consumer practices and prevents informed consent.High-Pressure ************ of Transparency: The sales team rushed me through signing and failed to disclose key details about cancellation policies, long-term financial obligations, and booking ****************** *********************************************************** Act (15 U.S.C. 45) Prohibits deceptive business practices and failure to disclose material contract terms before signing.Nevada Deceptive Trade Practices Act (NRS Chapter 598) Prohibits misleading consumers into signing contracts under false pretenses.Resolution Requested:Immediate and full cancellation of my contract with no further financial obligations.Refund or reversal of any payments already made.Written confirmation that no negative credit reporting or collection attempts will occur. If this request is not honored, I will escalate my complaint to the ***, Nevada Attorney General, and CFPB. I expect written confirmation of cancellation.

Dear BBB,We are filing a formal complaint against Vacation Village - Williamsburg Plantation due to their lack of response to our repeated requests to surrender our timeshare ownership. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this matter directly, the resort has not provided any assistance or a reasonable exit option.I purchased this timeshare in 2004 and have not used it in the past ****************************************************************** two days. We are struggling to justify paying a yearly maintenance fee for something we cannot use. In 2021, we attempted to schedule exchanges through **********************, but they were unable to secure a unit for us. This was not the first time we tried to use the timeshare and were *************** a government employee, with the ongoing uncertainty surrounding a potential government shutdown, I am deeply concerned about the financial strain this may cause. Given our current circumstances, it is critical that we prioritize essential expenses, and continuing to pay for a timeshare that we do not use is simply not feasible. Our mortgage is fully paid, and our account remains current with the resort. We have continued making payments solely to protect our credit. We have already fulfilled our financial obligations to the resort, However, we can no longer justify paying yearly maintenance fees for something we do not use, and in light of these potential hardships, we are requesting to be released from any further financial responsibility. We ask for the resorts understanding and consideration so we can focus on securing funds for our daily living needs during this uncertain time.We are requesting the BBBs assistance in communicating our concerns to the resort, as our direct outreach has gone unanswered. We sincerely hope that Vacation Village - Williamsburg Plantation will acknowledge our situation and provide a viable solution to help us exit this ownership. Sincerely,*** Q. ****** and **** Q. ******

I am leaving this review because we were completely misled by the sales team at Colonies at Williamsburg, part of Vacation Village Resort. The exaggerated stories and inflated promises about what our property could offer bear no resemblance to the reality weve experienced. What was initially sold to us as a valuable, "willable" asset for our children now feels more like a growing debtone that could burden future generations. We refuse to pass this financial strain onto our children. On January 31, 2021, at Williamsburg Properties. We met with multiple representatives, including ******* ***** and ***** *****. ******* began by claiming she understood our frustrations with exchanging and booking vacations, then quickly shifted the blame to the fact that our ownership level was too low. She explained that the timeshare industry had evolved from to a "point-based" one, which, she insisted, provided much greater flexibility.******* and ***** made it clear that the quality of the week we had purchased in 2016once converted to pointswas no longer sufficient to secure the vacations we wanted. They pressured us to use the "equity" from our 2016 week to double our current ownership by linking it to a newer property within The Colonies. They emphasized that these properties were selling out fast and urgently warned that we might miss out if we didnt act immediately. They continued to play on our previous frustrations with booking vacations, convincing us that with the new points system and the added "double trading power," we would no longer face the same challenges. They presented what they called ************ In hindsight, its clear they were manipulating the figures to create a false sense of security. This misrepresentation gave us a false sense of comfort, leading us to believe that our investment had appreciated significantly, when in fact, this was nothing more than an illusion. Had they just been honest with us, we wouldnt be in the situation we are in today.
