I was sent to a hematologist by my obstetrician. I found an Advent Health hematologist. I attended an appointment to see this hematologist. One day later police was sent my home because of a high blood potassium result. I was told I had to go to the *** I went to the ** and it was found to be an error by the ** doctor. My blood potassium was at normal level. I am now being charged thousands of dollars by the Advent Health Hospital ** for having tests which confirmed this was an error committed by one of their doctors. Advent Health should assume the costs of their own networks errors and not attempt to bill their patients for labs, tests, and emergency room fees which are a direct result/consequence of their own error. I would have never needed to go to the Advent Health ** if the Advent Health doctor had not committed a mistake and sent police to my home, therefore, I should not be the one to bear the cost of this mistake.Business Response

I had surgery April 2023 at Advent Health *************. Hospitalized 6 days. Five days copay = $1,375 which is the full payment for my stay and surgery according to my insurance co. They billed me for this amount yet have separately billed me for $4,800 as a surgery copay. My insurance says "absolutely not" and I owe $1,375 for my first stay in April and that I pay $0 copayment for "provider and ************ services for inpatient hospitalization". I sent ****, billing manager, a copy of insurance Evidence of Coverage that explains this yet still 8 months since my surgery and I am still frustrated that this hospital is inept at dealing with my simple billing issue. In addition, they attempted to charge me for two anesthesiologists during the stay yet I refer to the same coverage I have of $0 copay for "provider and professional services when inpatient. Also, I sent a copay check for an "outpatient procedure" at the hospital of $250. and the hospital cashed it but didn't record it and reported me late to a collection agency yet they have this money. I sent to **** in Billing a copy of the front and back of check showing that Advent did in fact cash the check yet this is in a ****************** This has not been addressed and corrected and remains an issue on my record. I had 830 credit rating which they are jeopardizing. I have dealt with an extremely difficult disease with continuing treatment and discomfort to date and have had to deal with these ridiculously simple billing issues that IMO a 12 year old could resolve. I have been so overwhelmed with this and piles of paperwork all over my kitchen table because this hospital's ****************** is inept at dealing with my simple billing issues. I am in the process of changing doctors so that I do not have to ever return to Advent Health for any treatment and end up with the same incredibly ridiculous billing issues with threats to my long standing excellent credit and the toll it is taking on my health.Business Response

I received a bill for $325.76 for services rendered at AdventHealth Walk- in Clinic in ********, Florida. The bill also has $49.24 which was supposed paid. I am disputing that I am responsible for this bill. When I arrived at the clinic, I was charged $40.00 for copayment as required by Bright HealthCare. My member number at that time was ID: *********. Nine months after, I received this bill from AdventHealth. The copayment was not accurately reflected in the billing ($49.24 vs $40.00 actual), neither was there any indication from you or the insurer of record that the payment was denied. There was no evidence that AdventHealth submitted a bill for payment to Bright Healthcare as far as I know.I requested a written response to my ******.A WRITTEN RESPONSE IS REQUESTED FOR DOCUMENTATION. PLEASE DO NOT CALL AS I HAVE ALREADY SPOKE TO SOMEONE IN YOUR OFFICE WITHOUT ANY RESOLUTION AND NO EXPLANATIONCONCERNING THE CIRCUMSTANCES SURROUNDING THE BILL.I have not received any response to my above ******. I sent two correspondence. BrightHealth no longer does business in Florida.Business Response

I had an appointment with Dr. Omar B***** in Winter Park, Fl for a Consultation of which I paid $95 in advance. The morning of I was sick and called to cancel, with intentions to reschedule at a later date. I was told I could not get a refund b/c it was less than 24 hours, but I was never made aware of this policy when booking. Nor does it really make sense for a healthcare business to push a patient to come in so they don't lose their money. My husband later tested positive for Covid, which means I was probably positive, too. First, consider the circumstances as a HEALTH facility, and secondly, inform people of the 24-hour policy upon booking or payment. Don't assume people know. I am in the process of trying to get a refund, but AH is not being cooperative in getting back to me at the wecare email address. And the doctor's office refused refund when I asked.Business Response

I called a dozen times, I was left on hold for over 17 mins and over ten minutes each time after. I attempt to make an appt online for my daughter who is having severe palpiatations and the infomration on your direct website is incorrect. Then your call center people pick up the phone and do not say anything. Hire people that care, correct the information on your site because in the end this is peoples lives that your screwing with. I would never ever recommend Advent Health to any person who is serious about their medical care.Initial Complaint

Date of Service: July 25, 2023 Provider: AdventHealth Orlando Emergency Room Summary: Spouse admitted to ER after feeling sick on *********** ride. Taken by ambulance from DisneyWorld and treated in ER for nausea due to motion sickness. Insurance was billed $3,923 on one claim and $985.60 on a second claim. The two claims both have a charge for "emergency services" that together add up to $2,700. Other charges include over $1000 for blood tests, an EKG, and several drugs administered by IV. After insurance processed both claims AdventHealth says I owe $2,678.08 on the first claim and $98.56 on the second claim. Treatment for motion sickness should not cost $4,900. This is why AdventHealth has an F rating on BBB and 81 complaints.Business Response

On 3/9/23 I had a consultation with Adventhealth medical group colorectal surgery at Orlando and they advised I needed to have an anal monometry done. I called my insurance to ask how much the procedure was since I have a high deductible. They advised they did not have a price as it was not a usual procedure. I had sent a message to the doctor on 3/22 advising her that I would have to cancel my appt because her office was unable to provide me the case of the procedure and I did not want to end up with a bill for thousands of dollars. I called the doctor's office and asked them about 4 times and the last time I spoke to the office manager who gave me the 2 CPT codes and the price for each which amounted to around $600 for both. She reiterated that it will not be as much and asked if I wanted to schedule the procedure again. I said fine since $600 was reasonable. I then get an invoice for $1,031.07. this is definitely not was I was advised it would cost. they lied to get me to have the procedure knowing well I stated I wouldn't have it if it would cost as much. I called their billing department numerous times, and they did not help. I also sent a letter to the address on the invoice and no response. I was advised to apply for financial assistance which was denied. I need them to credit the additional $400 they are billing me and remove any collection attempts for their false information. Everything should be recorded and the message I sent them on 3/22 is still in the system. This hospital is deceiving with their billing and then want to blame the insurance companies. I will not be using them again for anything. In addition, they state the provider was Daniel Joseph Galante and I never even saw this doctor. A CNA was the one who did the procedure, and I did not see a doc. With the amount of complaints, they have on this site, they should be ashamed to claim they are a Christian hospital. God doesn't approve of this deceiving behavior. account number *************Business Response
