I love the car but wish I had leased it elsewhere. The dealership gets a rating of 1 out of ten only because there is not a zero rating. *****Review from Steve S

Just bought our second new car from Gettel Hyundai of Sarasota. Both were the best new car buying experiences we have had, out of the 25+ new vehicles we have purchased over the years. In particular sales person ************************* was very good. Friendly, professional, efficient. He found us a new car that fits our needs perfectly. We will buy from them again!Review from Sandra R

Had my Elantra towed in because the battery was dead and needed a new one. No one from the service dept ever called me back for a day and a half to give me an update or even acknowledge they received the car. It is now closing time on the second day with no update. They lost me as a customer.Review from Thea F

We had the unfortunate event of taking my vehicle to Gettle Hyundai of Sarasota this AM for a warranty issue. We called in 2 weeks ago for an appointment & was told the only available was today. While on the phone during the scheduling process we asked if Enterprise is available at this location due to this being our family car, we will need transportation. We were told Enterprise is on site. Upon arrival we were greeted by Duane, and he stated that they will not be able to even LOOK at the vehicle for 7 days. We asked if we should just bring the car back in 7 days, and he let us know it needed to be on site to be in que. Weary about the situation, we proceeded with the paperwork and requested a rental car. After about an hour an Enterprise representative stated that we will need to cover the rental car fee of $38 per day, and a $300 deposit. Considering this is a warranty issue we were taken back by the fees & even more so that Duane let us know it will be at least 7 days for the car to even be seen. We asked Duane if they would cover half of the fees, since it’s not our fault that the service department was backed up or if we should reschedule for another week that we will only need to rent the car for 2-3 days. He stated there was nothing they could do, and this was our only option. At this point, my husband was frustrated and asked to speak to the service manager, Tom Hayes. The service manager would not even hear him out, answer the phone with me and stated “this was our only option” if we wanted the car fixed. I called the main line and requested to speak with the service manager and was hung up without even saying hello. The service manager had an “I don’t care” attitude with no desire to help us at all. I have posted a negative review on their Facebook page and found MANY other unhappy customers with this location. DO BETTER, this is not a way to do business & you lost ours.Review from Kelly D

ONE STAR TOO MANY I am on my third lease from Gettel Hyundai of Sarasota. Like a glutton for punishment, I keep returning in hopes that the service department gets better. It gets worse by the year and today was the last straw. After waiting ONE MONTH for an appointment to get my check engine light looked at, I dropped my car off on 3/17 and was told "it would take 3-4 business days for them to even look at it." I wasn't happy about it but being the responsible leasee I try to be; I wanted to make sure the car was ok to drive. I worked from home, walked to stores, ubered where needed, got rides from friends an patiently waited. Day 5 I get a message that the hold-up stick on my hood was "severely bent" (i took it in for an emission issue). They wanted to charge me $158.00 for this issue and they were "still diagnosing" the emission issue. I decided to take my car to a different hyundai dealer so i went to pick up the car. They tried to tell me i brought the car in with the gas light on and they needed to $20 worth of gas in it. When i questioned them charging me for that when i have incurred uber expenses for 5 business days, plus 2 days on the weekend, I was told "that is part of being an adult and you should plan for that and act like one'. My service person told me this and the other 5 workers had something to say to me too. I felt personally attacked and unsafe as a woman, on top of being highly insulted for asking a question (which by the way, Hyundai consumer affairs informed me that I should have been advised that these uber charges were reimbursable). Then, I was fraudulently charged over $200 for them to "diagnose" my car for something that was under warranty. Everytime i go to this service department the service is poor, but today...leaving shaking and in tears...is beyond the pale in treatment. PS- the Hold-up stick was bent into almost a perfect 90 degree angle. Hercules himself would have had to bend that. I don't trust them, at all.

I purchased a 2022 G90 in January 2022. The Connected Services feature that allows you to remote connect, etc. wasn't working so I brought it into Gettle Hyundai of Sarasota. The Sales Manager, Chuck, attempted to set it up but it did not work for him either. Chuck said the car came from the mfr without this being set up and I should make an appt with service. Chuck assured me he told the service dept exactly what I needed so that when I called, they would know why I need service. For the past three weeks I have been trying to make an appt to bring the car in. When I called to make the appt I was told I had to speak with Zedrick, the ONLY Genesis service coordinator. After leaving several messages, Zedrick called and left me a voice mail that I would need to bring the car in and HE would determine if I needed a service appt. Zedrick also stated Chuck had told him nothing about why I needed the appt. After some phone tag, I left Zedrick a clear message stating I did not want to have to travel back to the dealer just to be told I needed an appt And to schedule me for the first available service slot and if he rec'd my VM when calling me back, just leave the date and time of the appt and I would be there.Of course I did not receive a call back. After several more calls I finally reached Zedrick who told me Chuck didn't tell him anything about why I needed service and they didn't have any loaner cars so I would have to wait another 3-4 weeks to bring the car in if I wanted a loaner. I called and spoke with Chuck who referred me back to Zedrick. I am 64 years old so I have owned many cars in my lifetime and I have NEVER received such poor customer service as I have from Gettle in Sarasota. To go through this hassle JUST TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT is just ludicrous! I made the service appt for three weeks from now as I wasn't given any other choice.
