We hired And Services to replace evaporator and txv valve on our air conditioner for our home in, since it has been installed it has failed an additional two times. I have paid two other ac companies to look at it and they have told me that the reason the txv valve fails is because it is a complicated process to remove the contaminants from the system and recharge it when replacing the valve and if there are contaminants left in the system it will cause it to fail. The system is internal. It is soldered on and off and cleaned internally by the company. The company gives their clients a one year warranty on their work. The company will not guarantee their work because they are telling us and took pics that the evaporator coil is dirty from dog hair and drywall dust, which are external that is why they will not stand behind their warranty. I am requesting the $1830 back that we paid them to fix the ac since each time they send one of their techs out they complain about how it was installed wrong. And we are having to live without air in *******. The new manager has refused to make it right. We need to hire a different company. Also the other ** contractors said they should have installed a filter drier which their estimate of $1100 to fix includes. Common reasons txv valves fail are: contaminants in the system, improper refrigerant charging and incorrect refrigerant type, moisture in the system, excessive oil or wrong type of oil, poor installation or replacement technique, failed filter drier or no drier change, system overheating or pressure issues,or manufacturing defect. At any rate the air conditioner was installed in 2020 by previous owners and the txv valve in only under the 5 year parts and warranty through April 2025.Business Response

Water leak in ******* and slow drain in kitchen they came in and said it was pipes under the floor and the only way to fix would be re-pipe the house. Never even looked at plumbing....$15,000 loan taken out through company they set up. Half way through the work hallway flooded again and workers said nothing they had done could have caused it. It had been the ** unit causing the leak. I emailed the company contact and never heard back I have called and emailed and have not heard back from manager. On March 31st we received a call from the customer that ac wasnt coming on. Our technician ********* did the following per the signed invoice. "Removed the vent , & cap, went outside removed the 1/2 PVC then connected a small 6" piece of 3/4 capped poured drain cleaner down pipe untill full waited 15 mins removed cap watching the most growth come out that I have ever seen. Highly recommend new pvc." She advised this wasn't a permanant fix and gave the customer solutions to fix the problems. The customer chose to do only the work provided taht got the system up and running. Days later the ac system stopped working because the unit isn't functioning correctly. The customer chose to have another company come out to provide an alternative solution. We perfromed said work advised the customer of what needed to be done to get the ac operable again, they chose to only do the temporary fix and were charged accordingly. We did more than just clean the drain line. It had to be flsuhed, drained and redone which our technician did while on site. If the drain line wasnt cleared the system wouldnt have come back on. We are willing to bring the total for the visit to $350 to help out.Customer Answer

The system would come back if drain is clogged .the system won't shut off.which is what happened system keep running because water was in drain line.which is why we had it cleaned next day the right way which cost me another 100 dollars because of their poor ******* willing to pay for service call but come on 350 is ridiculous.the company that came air now was here longer than they were and 100 dollars.they said line was not draining properly.they got a lot of stuff out of line.

On 3/31/25 AND Services came out in a request to fix an outside faucet. IT Was a simple repair.The tech called the office to obtain a price and quoted me $183 to replace the faucet. I agreed .20 minutes later, the repair was completed.I gave the tech the credit card info, he entered into his tablet, thanked me and left.He left me no receipt nor invoice. I later called the office for a receipt.Upon receiving the paid invoice by email, I was dismayed to see that I was charged $493 for the visit, not the $183 that had been agreed upon.Called the office and was told tjat the tech and his manager would be forwarded my ************ response from either. They lied to me and said the bathroom would cost twice as much if it broke down in the future and they charged me, ****** just to line a pipe, told me I had to sign the paperwork and I did not know what I was signing as I have dementia. They did not pull a permit which was required by the city.I finally was able for them to get a permit but of course they didn't include the bathroom. Left holes in my walls for 5 months. AND sold us a new Daikin air conditioner 9.22.22. Issues:1.Found out they had not put a filter and unit had been running filterless for one month.2.Every time we changed the filter found wet filters, water had been dripping on the slab.This went on for weeks.3. AND tech came. Found dripping wet filter, said there was nothing wrong.4. Had to call AND 5 times over next few months (6 months) due to dripping wet filter 5. Frozen evaporator coils.6. Changed ***** coil twice in the first few months 7. Wet filters (th mold busuild up) continued.8. Changed evaporator coil again.9 Kept needing tech to come out as unit was not cooling 10. Upon insistance, tech found that the unit had been leaking refrigerant from installation 11. 2 years later and many visits from tech without resolution AND could not get parts to repair unit over a holiday weekend because they could not get the manuracturer to send parts. Spent 4 days without air 12 AND sent an "air filtration" specialists who found the whole system riddled with mold and mildew-Have been in this house for 20 years, never had mold problem 13 AND offered the only solution to purchase a $4000 air filtration system. They had sent their air filtration sales person. to solve our mold problem 14. Before AND sold us a new air conditioning we NEVER had any mold problems. Since installing the new system we have developed terrible mold due to AND lack of resolving the leaking systems and always wet filters 15. AND failed every step to demonstrate technical knowledge of their product, causing a problem that we know have to solve by paying over $4000. and keep suggesting different ways to fix failed expertise 16 AND techs are always pleasant, but we feel they have displayed gross lack of ***************** request is for AND to absorb the cost of the unit ($4000) we had to instal to resolve the mold problem that was caused by their ************* fixing a serious problem in the previous months with this expensive unit ($14,000)Business Response

I am rejecting this response because although the $2000 refund finally processed, the issue with the $14,000 Daikin unit has not been resolved. **** set yet another tech to confirm that the unit is still dripping on filter. Tech suggested yet another cause. Finally spoke with ***** who said would come out. ***** did not intend to come but stated that he said a tech would come (not true, he dispatched this tech after I called the company to confirm if ***** was indeed coming. Didn't need another tech to confirm what the previous 9 techs have done: the coils drip water on the filter causing mold and rust. Asked ***** to remove unit and replace it with one that actually works, or get a Daikin specialist to come to diagnose issue. Every other variable has been checked. Today, we have not been told of next steps. This is issue has been since the day we bought unit back in September 2022. ***** or a higher manager must contact Daikin and send a professional to correct issue or replace the existing unit for one that works. This started on Nov 7 th. I had water coming under me toilet when I ran the shower or flushed toilet in other bathroom. An employee of AND Services came out and cleaned out the drain. He informed me that there was a belly in the line and the pitch needed to be fixed. The contract was for *****. I paid the ****** down and was to pay the rest on completion. He (Yulio) said if I cancelled I would have to pay 5198. He told me that a permit needed to be filed and an inspector would come out to check. I found out no permit was pulled. I complained because things werent being done right. They gave me a pressurized toilet that turned out to be too high for me to use. They took away one toilet that just had hard water stains in the tank. I texted him Sunday morning to let him know. He said he would see these guys on Monday morning after their meeting. I checked with ******** to see if they would take the toilet back. They said they would if we had the original box. The plumbers left here at 9 pm Saturday night. If he would have contacted them he would have been able to return it. He came Monday morning at 10 and requested an extra ***** would be due because the work was more than they thought. He wanted me to sign paperwork but I refused explaining the job was not done. They came back and removed the toilet and poured concrete without rebar. The estimate was far above the scope of work. I had someone come in to give estimate on putting new tile down so I could have another toilet installed. He said the whole house would cost ****** to redrain he informed me that rebar was not done so the floor could possibly sink down without rebar. This contract should be null and void mainly because of permit. I am a 76 yr old disabled veteran and feel I was really taken advantage of I dont feel as though any more money should be paid for their shoddy work. They seem to have over 108 complaints with the BBB and should be checked out for price gouging and shoddy work.Business Response

We have tried to work with the client. On our original visit we found multiple issues and presented options to rectify the porblems. The client agreed to one of the solutions provided. While doing the job another problem arose and was brought to the clients attention. The client verbally agreed to additional work. The additional work was around $5,800. We failed to get a signed invoice from the cleint for the additional work and the client refused to pay for it after completion. So the original job that was agreed upon was $20,000 and approved as well as signed off on said work. The entie project came to $25,800 which the client signed for $20,000 with a $10,000 deposit and the other half due upon completon of the project. We have reached out to the client to receive the signed and appproved work for the additonal $10,000 owed. The cleint told the branch manager after all the work was done that she recently spoke to her "handy man" and said he thinks the job should have only cost $10,000 so after the cleint agred to the work is now refusing to pay the agreed upon amount remaining of $10,000 and said we will have to take her to court to execute our contract. We are not wanting to get into a legal battle when the cleint received additonal work at no charge and now is refusing to pay for the original contacted amount. We have all legal documents signed and approved as well as the permits for the job. We have gone above and beyond the scope of work for the price and expect to receive final payment for the work provided.Customer Answer

We purchased an air conditioning system from the company in May, 2023. During the course of the first year--that is, while the system was under warranty--we had a continuing problem in that the unit would not draw down to the temperature set on the thermostat. We called the company and had service technicians out several times, and one of this times a section of the unit was replaced (to no avail; the problem continued). The technicians were unable to find the source of the problem, and the last time the company was called (just before the warranty expired), the technician told me there was nothing wrong with the unit. On October 3 of this year, we were out of town but had guests in the house. They complained about the same issue. This time, I called a different company, ******* Service, to inspect the unit. The technician discovered the problem almost immediately: there was a leak on the braze join near the ** which appeared to have been caused at installation in May, 2023. (I have photos of what he discovered.) The technician fixed the problem, which resulted in a cost to us of $670.00. Since And services was unable to locate the problem--which was apparently caused by their own installers--during the warranty period (the the repair would have cost us nothing), we are asking for reimbursement of the $670 we paid to finally have the problem repaired. Incidentally, I would have preferred to have solved this issue directly with the company, but I have been unable (despite several promises) to get a manager to call me since I began contacting them on October 4.Business Response

*************** ****, ****************************************** 7/26/24 - Issue: Leak at the water main. Homeowner ******* **** contacted AND Services Plumbing.Service Person ******* was sent out. Initial verbal quote to cut back root and repair pipe was $980. After working on it for about an hour hour - he determined he couldnt do it and Invoice #***** sending install out to cut out the roots w/a chainsaw and repair the leak. This revised scope of work was quoted as $3218. We were required to pay up front before they would send anyone else. We paid the $1609.7/27/24 ************ of 4 was sent out. 40 minutes later using the same equipment as ******* on 7/26 the repair was done.Homeowner disputed paying another $1609 for less than 1 man hour of work. ****** then wrote ******* will give price reduction on the bottom of Invoice #*****. We never heard back from anyone so we hoped it was a dead ********** forward to October 31st and to our surprise, this charge hits our card.Scope of work DID not warrant $3218. We honestly believe the $1609 is an overpayment. We have opened a dispute with **** for the 2nd charge on 10/31 of $1609.11/4/24 - 9 am- Homeowner contacted AND Services Plumbing.
