I have received constant calls from Trade show travel. They say no one sold me their information but i have never done business with them. They tell me that the got my information because i stayed at a resort or on a cruise. The only cases I stayed with either were both situations where the company created erroneous charges which i could not effectively dispute without taking legal action. I do not trust this company due to the transparent lie about obtaining my information and the relationship with other companies that have stolen from me. I advised Trade Show Travel on numerous occasions to put me on their do not call list, told them they have the wrong number, and advised them that my calls are recorded. They continue to call (which is another reason not to trust them). I just want the calls to stop.

I have not received additional calls since filing the dispute. Is is disconcerting that I had to resort to a bbb complaint to address this, but I appreciate it getting resolved.

Confirmation Number *********** Date July 9, 2024 for $649 with BofA Mastercard Resort Packages Includes - promised on the phone before they started the recording 2x 5 day/4 night Domestic resort 1x 8 day/7 night international condo 1x 6 day/5 night cruise (2 ppl only) 1x 5 day/4 night all-inclusive (designated choices only)Other stuffies Promised on the phone before they started the recording Does not include transportation Does not include food and other stuffies (except the all-inclusive offer) Need to book 30 days in advance at least Transferrable to others 90 min tour included Housing included No expiration date - Life long No blackout dates Reason for the complaint: They do not have the destination I wish to visit and was told I can take a look at the destinations available when I registered. I gave them a credit card for registration but was immediately charged. The designated choices were not only for the all-inclusive stay but for everything including the "worldwide" option. They say that they have over 400 places...that list is probably not even 100. They were misleading and lied about the 30-day booking in advance and changed to "90 days and first come first serve". Also, I double-checked, my 2019 trip they said I booked and didn't go on does not exist. I even went on a ***** trip in October and I did not book it. So they blatantly lied to me about making me think I was talking to a referred customer service representative from my trip in 2022. Also, I called them, but was told by the *** that the waiting time would be long; however, my call was dropped. This was not the service I paid for.

I was called by a representative, ***** and *****, who said I had lost a previous booking and their company was making up for it and offered a lifelong package for 10 vacations. They guaranteed that there would be no additional fees other than a $20 nightly tax foe the resorts. They also said they would email me all the information including the available destinations within 24hrs. The email they sent was vague and didn't include any of the information they said it would. When I searched the website, it was also vague with no information offered. I called to ask about my options and they said they had to many to list bur gave me a few options all of which had additional booking fees of hundreds of dollars. I also got the trip insurance because I had recently suffered from a TBI and now have seizures and wanted security due to my uncertain health condition. I was told I would recieve an email regarding the insurance but nothing came. When I called the representative couldn't provide me any information about the insurance. At this point I just feel scammed and my cognitive issues taken advantage of because what I paid for is not what they actually offered. I deserve a refund for paying for something that was falsely advertised and not actually getting what was promised. What a hassle!

Called stating that I had already paid a $898 fee for trips before the pandemic, got aggresively pitched at for 20 minutes, then cussed at and talked down to. This company is predatory. Please help me get a refund and give me some peace of mind. They are dangerous, toxic, and bloodthirsty savages.

We received several phone calls from Mr. *************************** (reportedly from ********, **, ?************, ************************* who claimed to be associated with and prepared to help us make best use of our Wyndham Destinations travel program. He described and convinced us to purchase an "upgrade" to that plan. Our MasterCard was charged $897 on 3/15/24 with the payee shown to our surprise as Trade Show Travel Company. We had never heard of Trade Show Travel Company and had no knowledge of or interest in doing business with them. Again to our surprise, two months later, we got a phone call from someone on behalf of Trade Show Travel Company offering to help us plan our first trip with them from a package we supposedly had purchased, which was the first we had heard of such a package and we had no interest in pursuing it; when we said we wanted our money back, the caller said she could not handle that. Until I searched them online and found this BBB page, we knew literally nothing about them. We then talked with other ******* contacts, who indicated that **************** was almost certainly not associated with them (among other things, he did not have a Wyndham e-mail address). It appears we were spammed from day one into paying money to a firm we had never heard of and with whom we had and have no desire of ever doing business! We simply want our money back and perhaps an apology for them (or him?) having spammed us.

I filed a scam complaint against Trade Show Travel Company on 6/11/24.  I am pleased to advise that they called me on 6/19/24 and offered to settle this claim.  I talked with them and Chase (our credit card holder) today (6/21/24) Trade Show Travel has now, indeed, refunded our $897 payment (it is already shown as a "pending" transaction on our credit card).  It is clear from talking with them that they are most unhappy that someone misrepresented them and scammed us and they intend to research and follow up accordingly on that activity.  We appreciate their response and are happy to advise we consider this complaint as settled.

I am writing to file a formal complaint against Trade Show Travel company. regarding a vacation package I purchased on February 29, 2024. The package cost $798 and included (4) 8-day/7-night vacations and (3) 5-day/4-night vacations, with travel insurance for both packages.During the initial sales call, I was informed that I would only need to attend one presentation and that for the remaining vacations, I would have the freedom to do as I pleased. I was also assured that I would not incur any additional costs beyond taxes and fees. However, my experience with this company has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. I have made several attempts to contact them using the provided phone number, only to be left waiting on hold with no answer. Despite this, they have continuously called me, adding to my frustration. One of the calls I received contradicted the original terms I was given. I was told that the additional vacations were not free, but rather offered at "up to 80% off." This vague statement is misleading, as a discount of 5% falls within that range, which is far from the understanding I had when I purchased the package.Furthermore, when I attempted to book a stay, I was initially informed that I needed to pay $250. After expressing my dissatisfaction and hanging up, I received a callback where the representative stated that only $150 was required for a deposit, and the remaining amount was for a promotion that included a special type of travel insurance not covered in my original purchase. This bait-and-switch tactic is unacceptable and not what I agreed to.

I agreed to a package deal in 2023. I upgraded the package so that I wouldnt have to pay for anything but taxes. I would not have to attend any promo. When I attempted to book they had no availability in *******. Then I tried to book again and was informed that I had three separate packages. I would have to take the first package and pay fees and attend the promo. Once I attended those vacations I would then open the availability to the next package. I was told I had a total now of 14 vacations! Big surprise to me. I only thought I had the original vacation package that was upgraded. So not almost 2 years later and $2000 gone I still have not taken a vacation. I cannot get Tradshow to answer via customer service. ************************** utilizes Monster to book the vacations and upgrade. They are both a total scam.

A total bait and switch. I bought this package on 10/27/23 for $1198 consisting of six week-long vacations with the understanding that no time share presentations were required and the only expense at time of check in was a government room tax of no more than $20/night. All resorts (1000 bucket-list locations ******* said) were reported to be 4 and 5 star locations including full kitchen, balcony view and breakfast. When I called to check for other locations that the brochure did not include I am told you can go anywhere, tell us where you want to go. We have too many locations to list them all. I am a current time share owner and ********************** has no trouble listing their locations. When I chose a country (********) and had the *** email me the list of locations, none were what I would consider to be luxury locations and all required an additional payment of hundreds of dollars to book. The only ones that don't, I am told, require the attendance of a sales presentation. In addition, they have hounded me with phone calls, which at this point, is considered harassment.

April 25, 2024 I received a call from a person with this company ...offering me a number of vacations and cruises over a 4 year period.I am a member of the Marriott vacation group and my membership is about to expire..I assumed this call came from the Marriott or an affiliated entity..so I asked the person. "Did Marriott provide you with my contact information? she answered.. We have a lot of Marriott properties we work with..I thought that meant they were affiliated. After I made the purchase I felt that the product and benefits had been misrepresented to me..so I called the number they provided...it turned out the number belongs to Monster Travel..not Marriott or Trade Show Travel. And More importantly...When I asked about available vacation sites , they were limited to mostly condominiums and none in the locations in which I am interested.. I also asked , again, If there was a Marriott affiliation and the person answered ." a lot of our owners also own Marriott properties!" ...They misrepresented their product and properties to me ...And I want my purchase price refunded.

I have power of attorney over my brother who is mentally and physically disabled. He is not able to make business decisions himself due to the inability to understand the transaction. Trade Show Travel has latched onto him and has been scamming him for about a year. They pretend they are his friends so he talks to them and thinks he can trust them. Then they convince him to give them over $800 per time they call for travel and vacations. He has been charged numerous times. My brother is disabled and cannot travel. The company has stolen his money several times and yesterday tried to run a charge of $849 through his bank twice. I have had to contact the bank, credit card company, police, and the attorney general about the companys fraud and them taking advantage of a disabled elderly person by deception and theft.

We have spoken with **************** and believe that everything is resolved and that she is happy with the resolution.

Should she have or her dad have any questions, they can contact us to as we strive to ensure customer satisfaction.

    We apologize for any inconvenience.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 05/21/2024

We had to dispute the most recent charge with the bank to get my brothers money back. The company claimed they werent the ones who had charged him for travel over the past few years but surprisingly told me exactly in detail which trip he has repeatedly been charged for over those years and they even knew the date of the initial charge. They said they knew who charged him but would not give me the information when I asked for it. They refused to return any money other than the recent charge. I told them to take my brother off their call list (he has also been on the federal Do Not Call List for many years and this company keeps calling him asking for money). For them to say I am happy with the resolution is incorrect. They need to provide me with the information of this mysterious third party who they say they know that has been charging my brother. I also want copies of all transactions related to my brother and information they have regarding this third party company. If they want to claim they havent been scamming my disabled elderly brother then tell me who has been doing it in their name. On a side note, the person I talked to at the travel company (*****) was rude when I explained my brother is on hospice (he is expected to die soon) and cant travel. He made several comments making fun of my brothers disabilities.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 05/21/2024

    Complaint: 21669928

I am rejecting this response because:

A bank dispute was filed to get the most recent charge reimbursed because the company had not refunded it. The customer service person at the ********************************************* ******* admitted he knew the charges started years ago and told me the exact date the charges started. He also told me specifically the destination the first charge (and subsequent charges) were for. But even though he has all this information he claims it was not their company who charged my brother. He claims another company did all the other charges except for the current one. He said he knew the name of the company but would not give it to me. I want to receive the name and contact information of that past company and all information the current company has regarding transactions they and this third party company have made concerning my brother. I am still seeking to recover money taken from my brother.

My brother has been on the federal Do Not Call List for many years and the travel company continued to call him over three years. I told them to never call him again and that he is on the list.

I also want to point out that when I was explaining to the customer service rep ******* that my brother has one leg, is in a wheelchair, is disabled and elderly, is legally mentally incapable of making financial decisions, and is on hospice because he is expected to die soon, and would not be physically able to travel, ***** decided to make fun of my brother and his disabilities. He upset me so much with this line of conversation that I had to hang up the phone. It was very distressing.

So no, I am not happy (as the travel company claims) with what they have done and further action is needed.

    Sincerely,

    ******************* As POA For ***************************
