    I contacted this business on 12/6/23 after completing a diagnostic test at the local dealership. I was informed that my 2014 *** needed a new catalytic converter and quoted a price for replacement at the dealership. I decided to check prices at businesses and called several in my community. I spoke with a person at Mighty Muffler and told him the diagnostic and asked for a price. I was give the price of ******* for the work (Labor and parts) which was considerably less than the dealership. I called Mighty Muffler the next day to ensure i heard the correct price. I was given *******. I specifically asked is this for all work needed for completion of installation of catalytic converter and was again told yes. I called on 12/19/23 and spoke with ***** (manager) and informed him that i had called 2 weeks prior and BEFORE i had my car towed to his business, i wanted to confirm cost of repair as i was quoted *******. ***** confirmed the price and i made arrangements to have my car towed for the repair work on 12/20/23. I received a call that afternoon from ***** who informed me that i needed to change the O2 sensor for and additional ****** or the catalytic converter would not be warrantied. I told ***** that i spoke with him and 2 other people who never mentioned that an O2 sensor was required to get the warranty. ***** stated it is their policy and they would not warranty the work if not done as O2 sensor has to be changed every ****** miles. I shared that i only had ****** miles on car and only drive it **** miles a year. The only choice provided was to get O2 sensor now or a week later to get warranty on catalytic converter. I believe this was purposefully price deception to get the car in and then charge more. The manager was not helpful in any resolution and i was out of an additional ****** for repairs that he knew was required before i brought car in. The bait and switch practice by this business is not acceptable and i should be refunded cost of O2 sensor.

    Mighty Muffler is horrible. I went there to get a catalytic converter put on my vehicle. They put the incorrect part on my car and refused to refund me fully. I'm sorry, it's 2022, not ****, and all it would've taken was a little research to know that the Chevrolet Malibu needed a manufacturer catalytic converter. It's not my responsibility that they hire people ignorant of that fact. The people at the corporate office are horrible and disrespectful. I will NEVER go to them for service again!!!! I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.

    ********************** came to Mighty Muffler for a catalytic converter. It was replaced. Her engine light came back on. We did not put on the wrong part, it was an aftermarket converter for her car. We called our supplier and he said since it was a turbo that it would be best to put on the dealer's catalytic converter since the light came back on. We told ********************** that we would replace the converter with the dealer's converter if she would pay the difference in the price. She said she wanted a full refund the cost of the part and the labor. We offer to put her converter back on the car and refund her the price of the converter and she could take it to the dealer. She said no. I was not horrible or disrespectful. I was very calm and tried to help her. Her husband called me back cussing me and was screaming at me on the phone. I hung up and would not talk to them anymore. If anyone was disrespected it was me and our manager.

    ************ was very disrespectful. Her manager was the only respectful one throughout this situation. My husband tried to speak to her to resolve the problem and she continued to be disrespectful. This lady has caused me tremendous pain and suffering while pregnant. I have been out funds for Lyft, Uber to get to and from the shop for repairs and I feel that I should be reimbursed for that as well. I'm just trying to get this situation resolved. They have not credited my account and my car still does not work correctly. I took my car to a mechanic because I needed a professional and they did what they wanted to do to my car. All the mechanics had to do was to be upfront and tell me that they didn't know how to fix the issue. If they had been upfront I wouldve just took it to the dealership for repairs. I should not paying for their short comings. I don't trust them to do any more work on my car the trust is broken.

    I'm looking to get this problem resolved as quickly as possible as I need emissions and my tag is due to expire on 8/8. As this is the reason to why I came to Mighty Muffler on 7/15/2022, and I made that clear to the mechanic.
