Raised rates again 1/1/2024. They say they sent a letter. May 31, 2024 received a letter dated 5/1/2024 saying Long ********* policy would be canceled in 35 days if shortfall (2 Increased payments not made by 6/6).They do not take payments over the phone. They do not take check free. Payment must be paid or policy canceled. They suggest overnight mail. With their pro-cancelation policy I don't expect it to arrive on time. Best estimate We have paid $18-20K toward a Long ********* Policy and now that we may need it (Wife has MS, I have CKD and diabetes), they want us gone.Review from Florence A

My father set up a long-term care through these people and he paid monthly quarterly payments and now since he has passed on he's died we've sent all the information in like the death certificate and everything else to go with it they still hasn't had the reimbursement of the money he's they're giving back to us they put it in a check as a state of my father we don't have an estate to get the money we have to go to a notary to sign for an affidavit or go to the courts and get something out of the Court so we can get the money we cannot cash the check because they put it into the estate of my father we don't have an estate. And they're pretty clever because they have 6 months from the month is issue to cash it now they said we could open an estate account in amount for my father that which has passed on they're giving us the runaround all I want is them to cash it out in my mother's name all this situation is causing havoc on my family and it is not right what they're doing to us I will never have these people for life insurance ever again.Review from Martin G

They do everything possible not to allow a claim, and once you have established a claim they attempt not to make (or delay) payments based on flimsy excuses. I can't count the number of calls I have had to make to get them to meet their obligations. If an elderly person doesn't have someone to take care of this for them, they almost certainly would not be able to get their claim completed and get payments there after.Review from Chasen H

They are currently stealing money from my personal account after my father passed ***** and will not refund. They send you in circles and no supervisors to be found. The lady I spoke with apologized and said they told us to say this I'm so sorry. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I will be filing a small claims lawsuit to hopefully get my money back. I'm not holding my breath. Just awful and my poor dad spent his life working for them. No loyalty and are steeling from me now.Review from Grant T

Both parents have a CNA individual long term care policy. The claim for my mother took many months of jumping through hoops, submitting (and re-submitting forms because "we did not receive it (despite having FAX confirmations that the form was, in fact, received)). Finally, after many calls, the claim was paid. Now, dealing with the same thing for my father. This company is trash. If you are in the position to file a claim, my advice is to call regularly to ensure that the claim is moving forward. Their MO is to delay as long as possible.Review from Anne L

I haven't filed any claims but CNA is horrible to deal with. Quarterly statement are sent very late - the most recent one arrived on Dec 19 and is due on Jan 1. This is incredibly poor planning, especially considering holiday travels and mail delays. The return envelope was sized poorly so that the city, state and zip did not show through on the return address window. It seems like they're trying to set it up so people's payments arrive late. I'd pay electronically if there was a way to authorize it each quarter rather than setting up autopay.Review from Vi J

Zero would be a better option! I have a ltc policy with this company and i have been trying to get my social security number corrected for 6 months. They sent me a w9 which i returned and which they confirmed they received in november. I called today 12/18/23 and now they are saying they dont have it. They are the ones that had a security breach. I think there is something fishy going on at this company. I am sill on hold after 20 minutes! Now they are asking me to send proof of my social security number again! My next step will be hiring an attorney. They dont have any problems billing me or cashing my checks and raising m rates! But when it comes to correcting my social security number they are doing everything to prevent that from happening.Review from Joel S

I was required to supply information within 30 days on the amount of premiums that we had paid during the 2020 year for a tax audit. Getting the company to supply this information has been like pulling teeth! Already more than 3 weeks have gone by and they have yet to mail the information. They promise they will try to expedite it, but after one customer service representative said they would be willing to make an exception to usual policy and overnight mail it, the next representative I spoke to a couple days later denied that they can or will do that. After reading the reviews here it boggles my mind that the **** ***********************, gets $15 million in compensation for running this company. He earns in a day about what I earned in a year when I was working full-time. If the world were just, he ought to be working for minimum wage, if that.Review from Mary S

I would discourage anyone from taking out a long-term care insurance policy with CNA. They are either incompetent by not responding to inquiries or fulfilling the terms of their own policies in an timely and respectful manner. Months can go by without any action on processing invoices for care that has been given. The poor people who answer the phones give different answers from. each other. Higher level people in the RESOLUTIONS department give different answers from the call center responders. How is the client to figure out the correct actions to take. The alternative explanation and the one I am inclined to believe is that they will do absolutely anything in their power. not to have to pay out on any claims which I find particularly cruel as these policies are for seniors. The methods they use to accomplish this is keeping people on the phone for hours at a time. My longest time on hold was 2 hours and 14 minutes. But you are stuck as you need to solve the problem. You can neither get the name of the person responsible for your account on the phone nor get their name. Between both of my parents they have taken over ******* in premiums and have returned nothing on my mothers and less than ****** for my father before he died. Avoid doing business with them, they are irresponsible and disrespectful.Review from Frances G

08/28/2023 Every time I receive invoices from them it never includes details of my policy. I called 6 times to get registered on their website that is worthless. ltcpolicyhub.com/cna. I had to call that many times as it was not allowing me to register until finally 7th time. Every time I call no one knows how to discuss my policy, there is no knowledge in the employees, I have to wait 10 days for my policy to be mailed so that I can get any information. I feel the company and the website they created is incompetent of handling and am cancelling my policy. In addition, I feel like this company is a fraud. Don't believe me, call them many times. Furthermore, they give you personal information about you without you verifying but only an address and name. No wonder my company dropped them. I should of dropped them too instead of believing they are able to help.
