I have had two interactions with park whiz. The first though resolved was problematic. I had booked a parking space and was told very rudely that there was no parking available and threateningly told me to leave. I was unable to find another lot. ParkWhiz begrudgingly provided me with a refund. On April 18 I booked a parking spot from 7:30 am to the following day at 8am for $60. By chance I found out that the garage is no open on Saturday. I also discovered that in small print on the voucher it states that the garage is closed on Saturday. The app allowed me to make the reservation. I also discovered that the garage only charges $23obviously ParkWhizs guarantee of the lowest price is not true. Not only was I charged a higher price but also paid for time park whiz knowingly booked when the garage was closed.Business Response

Hi *********,
We apologize for the inconvenience!
ParkWhiz does not own or operate any garages or lots so if a price is different onsite than it is in the app that is completely up to management and not ParkWhiz. They often don't inform us of those price changes for us to update pricing in the app.
Regardless, you shouldn't have been able to book for a time when the garage is closed so we have gone ahead and refunded your original booking of $63.60. While we release the funds immediately, depending on your bank it can take 3-5 days to hit your account.
Again we apologize for the frustration and inconvenience.
Thank you,
The ParkWhiz Team

Parking was posted in front of there garage at a Lower flat rate than normal parking prices. When paying for parking the advertised price is not being honored. The only option is to pay full price on the app. After contacting the company they still refuse to honor the advertised price. ******* ********** Event parking near *********** March 30 2024Business Response

Hi ******,
We apologize for the inconvenience!
ParkWhiz does not own or operate any of the lots or garages, we simply contract with the management companies to provide parking services. The parking rates set in the app are set directly by the management company, so if there is a cheaper drive up price and they do not inform us of the change then there is unfortunately nothing we can do. As you were still able to use your parking pass, we are unable to give you a refund, however, for the inconvenience we have added a $30 credit to your ParkWhiz account. This is able to be used at any location ParkWhiz operates at for up to the next year.
Again, we are sorry for the inconvenience and frustration.
Thank you,
The ParkWhiz Team

Parked at Meso **** in ****** and was told the parking is validated. Paid for parking upfront, and the restaurant told me to email with a receipt to receive refund for validation. I never received a refund. The person who reached out to me (*********************) about my disputed charge reversed the charge dispute. I tried contacting again after the fact and never received a reply from her. If your business is operating at a restaurant that validates parking, then it should uphold this deal with the restaurant. Absolutely awful customer service all around.Business Response

Hi ******,
We are sorry for the inconvenience!
While we do contract with the lots to provide parking services, we do not own or operate them or work directly with restaurants and businesses. It seems there might have been a misunderstanding between the restaurant and lot management which wasn't communicated to us.
I see that you had a support case with us and that you were able to receive the $55 back from your bank as you disputed the charge.
Again, we are sorry for the inconvenience and frustration you encountered while trying to solve the problem. It is certainly not the service level we'd like to provide.
Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with.
Thank you,

I paid for Valet parking through ParkWhiz/Seat Geek for the 04/11/24 Tampa Bay Lightning Hockey Game. As I was driving several senior citizens to the game, I elected to pre-pay for Valet parking so that the walking will be decreased. Payment was made in advance as indicated on the attached receipt. Upon arrival at the lot I was directed to, it was discovered that the lot was 3-4 blocks away from the arena venue and DID NOT have valet service. The personnel at the lot advised they did not offer valet service for the event. In fact, the signage was advertising parking in that lot for $25.00. As I paid for Valet parking, and did not receive what was paid for, and noted on the receipts and email confirmations, I would demand a refund of the total amount paid. I believer that this is false advertising and could be construed as fraud from a legal standpoint. I am looking for an equitable resolution so that additional action can be avoided. Furthermore, I would requests that if a "service" is not available, that the company should advise the customer clearly prior to any transaction being made.Business Response

Hi *****,
We apologize for the inconvenience!
While ParkWhiz contracts directly with the lots to provide parking services, we do not own or operate them so if something has changed (offered valet vs no longer offering it ) it is up to them to let us know. We have reached out to the lot to confirm and update.
We have refunded the original parking pass amount of $31.80, however, I notice that the account the parking pass you attached is tied to someone named ***********************************************************************;. As for the seats and any other amounts, as those were purchased through a third party and not ParkWhiz we do not have the ability to refund you any additional money. You will have to reach out to the company you purchased the seats/parking through in order to get your refund as that money will go back to them.
Again, we apologize for the inconvenience and frustration you've encountered.
Please let us know if we can assist with anything else.

Downloaded and used the ParkWhiz app to reserve a spot using the app. Entered personal identifying information, including credit card number and reserved the spot at the particular location. Arrival at the location after allocated time which was 8:30 AM and continuously attempted to scan the ** code, which was unsuccessful. Purchased a ticket for entry in to the parking garage and upon leaving had to scan my credit card again which was charged $49 for the entire day. Made several attempt to contact ParkWhiz and unable to complete a complaint form. I was still charged the $15 initially, but was never able to use the ** code for access into the garage. Overall, the application does not allow you to immediately contact Park Whiz personnel to remedy an issue. Paid $64 for an entire day.Business Response

We are unable to find any bookings made in our system using the email you provided - *********************. Did you book under a different name or email? If not, could you provide a screenshot of the confirmation you received for the parking pass?

I had ordered a parking ticket separate for a concert, but I no longer needed the parking pass. I booked a hotel close to the venue. I tried to get a refund for the parking pass only. I received an email that the pass was cancelled and the money was refunded, but I never received the refund. The ticket no longer shows in Parkwiz, but still does on StubHub's site. I contacted the company and was told they money was refunded and to check with the bank. The refund was never received.Business Response

Hi *******,
We are sorry for the inconvenience!
Because the pass was originally purchased through Stubhub and not directly through ParkWhiz we do not have the payment info or funds saved. What we do is 'refund' the pass back to ******* who in turn is responsible for returning the funds back to you as you paid them directly and not us.
The funds cleared our system when it was originally noted to you in the support case you opened and it can take 7-10 days for Stubhub to refund you, however, if you have yet to receive the funds back you will need to take it up directly with them.
Again, we are sorry for the inconvenience and frustration this has caused.
Thank you,

I prepaid for parking in *** for the period of 3/17 - 3/19. We paid ahead because we have an infant and wanted to ensure parking near our hotel. When we arrived we were told that the lot we had prepaid for was full and could not accept cars over night. The attendant didn't care about my pre-paying as it was already full, and told me to contact parkwhiz and they would refund the charge. It was then up to me to find parking in *** with a screaming infant in the car. We did eventually find other parking a few blocks from the hotel, but it took several attempts and pleading with the attendant to take us overnight last minute. I contacted ParkWhiz that day requesting a refund since I was not able to use their reservation. It has now been over two weeks and I keep getting the run around from their support. Apparently it the burden of proof is on ME to prove that I was not able to park using their reservation. They're looking for proof that the lot was full (it's not like the attendant gave me a receipt saying it was full, nor would I have known to ask for this), and want proof of payment for other parking. That frankly feels like an invasion of privacy but I provided a copy of my credit card charge for the other parking anyway as I want this refund. The parking was not cheap as it was *** - I'm out $124 for their reservation that I could not use plus the money I had to pay to park at the other lot directly. At this point I do not understand why they can't process the refund. If there is a further issue with the garage then ParkWhiz should take it up with them - it's unclear why I am left holding the bag for a parking space I was not able to use. This seems like a common occurrence given the response from the support team of "we've had a lot of emails which is why we're slow to respond." I will not be using this service in the future.Business Response

Hi ****,
We apologize for the inconvenience!
While ParkWhiz contracts with lots and garages to provide parking services, we do not own or operate them nor manage the attendants. Due to this, there are times when they 'oversell' their spaces and do not inform us so that we can inform our customers. Regardless, we have gone ahead and refunded your original booking amount of $123.88. While we release the funds immediately, depending on your bank it can take 3-5 days to hit your account.
Again, we apologize for the inconvenience and frustration.

This is for the Parkwhiz lot known as *********** Lot owned and operated by Parkwhiz. Address: ********************************************* I purchased 2 weeks of parking from ParkWhiz (Groupon) on April 29th for the price of $189.00. On arrival at the lot, we were charged an additional $90 because we have a ****** Forester and they consider that an SUV. Total price $279.00 We paid for 14 days, but only parked for 13. They were supposed to give us a refund of 1 day, but did not.ISSUES:DROP OFF 1. This lot is a total PIT! Filthy, filled with potholes and grease and mud.2. They were busy on arrival and asked us to leave the car on the street with the keys in it and the valet would get to it when he could. No WAY!PICK UP 1. Called per the instruction on the ticket and gave the terminal and location (as specified). Was told the driver was on his way. The location was odd because it was designated for Lyft drivers... Others waiting had been waiting for close to 30 minutes.2. After 15 minutes I called back and was told the driver was "on his way". When I mentioned we were waiting over 30 minutes already, he hung up on me.3. The shuttle driver THREW all of our bags into the back of the van and had a serious attitude. 4. He then proceeded to slam the passenger door onto a woman's knee and slam the sliding side door onto my elbow. I said something and he just ignored me.5. Driving back to the lot - he was Speeding, running stop signs, and traffic lights, and driving very dangerously. I inspected my car. 3 small scratches had not been there before. I was told the "Guy who takes care of that" would be there soon. He also said, 'They are very small it is nothing really" My backside it is nothing. Your people scratched my car. 6. After waiting close to 10 minutes, I gave up. We had been on a 10-hour international flight and were exhausted and still had a two-hour drive to get home.I want a full refund of the $279 paid toward fixing the scratches on my car.Business Response

Hi ******,
We are so sorry to hear of your experience!
While ParkWhiz does contract with lots to provide parking services, we do not own or operate any lots or employ any of the employees or attendants. The lot in question you referenced is owned and managed directly by ***********. If you would like to reach out to them about your experience their email is: *******************.
Separately, ParkWhiz is unable to give you a refund for the pass your purchased as it was purchased directly through Groupon and not through our site so we do not have any payment information in order to issue you a refund. In order to receive a refund for your purchase, you will need to reach out directly to Groupon who would be able to issue it to you as you purchased through them.
Again, we apologize for the experience and frustration you encountered.
Thank you,

I am rejecting this response because:
As the contracting authority with the parking LOT, it is ultimately YOUR responsibility to take care of complaints.
Regardless of where or who I purchased the parking voucher through, Parkwhiz is the contracted agent and is therefore responsible.
Your attempt to put this responsibility on to the actual owners of the lot in question (Thieves to be honest) and on to Groupon is unacceptable.
I want a $90 refund for parking what the "lot" determined was an SUV without any negotiation or prior information. This will be used to repair the scratches on my vehicle that were done at this lot.Sincerely,

Hi ******,
We were able to work something out and refund your initial pass of$189 from our system. Once it has cleared our system, it usually takes about 7-10 business days for you to receive the funds back from Groupon as that is where you initially paid so they are responsible for actually returning the funds to you.
Again, we apologize for the frustrating experience you encountered and have reached out to the management of the lot informing them of the situation.
Thank you,

On 3/3 I purchased parking pass with ParkWhiz for $37.40 at a garage on ******* (iPark, ********************************************). When i arrived this garage was full and i was turned away. I called ParkWhiz customer service and asked for a refund since I couldnt use my parking pass. Who has the time or money to go from garage to garage in hopes of finding a space? Please help me get my funds returned to me. Thank youBusiness Response

Hi ********,
We apologize for the inconvenience!
We see that you opened a case with our Support team where they told you we were investigating the location for similar reports of oversolds and asked that if you parked elsewhere to send in a receipt which would validate the request for the initial refund. We understand the frustration regarding this, however, since ParkWhiz does not own or operate the garages (we only partner with them to provide parking services) we need to confirm with the garage management that there was in fact cases of people driving up and being turned away due to the garage being full before we are allowed to issue a refund.
If you did end up parking elsewhere you can send a screenshot of your receipt or bank statement and we'll be happy to issue a refund. Otherwise, we will continue our investigation in the hopes there were similar cases reported and we will at that point issue a refund.
Again, we apologize for the inconvenience and fustration.

02/22/2024- ****************, *********, **, parking spot was at **********************. I attended a concert at the arena, to save time and frustration for parking I purchased a parking pass to ensure I got a handicapped parking place. This is due to me awaiting a heart transplant. So I bought the ticket for *****. Actual price was 9 dollars. First I think it gets to the point of price gorging. So I live an hour and a half away, and we finally get to the parking Garage. Well first it was not a garage, second no handicapped parking spot, third and the most important it was .7 miles away. With a person with my health issues it took me about an hour in 30 degrees to get to the arena. I spoke to an assistant at the nearest garage managed by the same company, to see if my pass would be accepted there and of course it wasnt. So after missing most of the opening act, I was exhausted. So the night started bad. Oh I forgot to add that we were the only car there. I have attempted to contact the main office, located in ******* to see if there is some compensation for the pass was not as described in the post. Then I read the issues other have had with this company. There has to be something to be done. I have never posted on the BBB site. So I really do not know what to do. So if by chance something happened to me, they would have been responsibly. When buying the tickets I plainly explained that I need a handicapped space. This is bordering on discrimination. I hope nobody has the problems that I had.Business Response

Hi *****,
We are sorry for the inconvenience!
I'm having trouble finding your name and booking in our system. Can you provide me the email address you created your account and booked your parking with through ParkWhiz and any other screenshot showing confirmation of the purchase?
Did you purchase the parking directly through ParkWhiz or through a third party (TicketMaster or Stubhub)? If you purchased through a third party you will need to reach out to them directly for a refund as they are responsible.
Looking forward to hearing back from you.
Thank you,
