I had a closed account with ******************. I had paid all of the money that I had been informed I owed and settled all past outstanding dues. Apparently they have sent me to collections for money that I don't owe them for services that were never rendered to me. I have spoken to two separate representatives from the company assuring me that I did not owe any more money and my account had been closed. So why have they sent me to collections?!Business Response

I went in for a varicose vein consultation at the beginning of the year briefly met with a man named Dr. ***** and was then put on a treatment plan. Dr. ***** told me that he would contact my insurance to see if the treatments he proposes for me would be accepted by my provider. He also said that he would "let me know if they accept". There was never a discussion on the price. During my 2nd appointment in March, I was told by the front desk personnel, that I "might have to pay" a small balance from my previous appointment on January 26th. When I asked the for the balance, I was quoted two different prices - $180 and $240. I ended up paying around $240 out-of-pocket for the January appointment and proceeding with the treatment (that l assumed was covered by insurance since no one said anything), nothing prepared me for the FINAL price of these treatments. They are astronomically higher than the average price. The doctor NEVER told me how much the treatment was, but billed my insurance $34,000! The average cost is between $1000 and $3000, with $3000 being on the pricier side (see avg. price screenshot attached). This seems like price gouging. Since May 17th, I have been getting harassed saying that I owe an additional $3,000. I want an explanation of the codes that were put in. On top of that, I still have the VERY SAME veins that I came in with (see the results of the varicose vein treatment attached). I have no idea what he treated because it was not explained and my questioned were never clearly answered. Dr. ***** throughout this "procedure" wasn't sufficiently communicative. The price as I stated, also seems to be incredibly gouged; why would 2 treated veins cost more than most MAJOR surgeries? Between the secrecy and non-transparency of what was ever actually done, I want an explanation of the codes that were put in that made this treatment cost almost $40,000.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: The business has made no efforts to propose a way to resolve anything. Their reply is also not a concise status of what the treatment actually costs, nor do they address why the doctor tried to get $17,000 per leg from my insurance for this procedure. I was never given a price, and that is actually illegal. I will report this to the **** and FTC if there are further excuses that cover up the fact that I was NEVER given a price by anyone in the office. Of course I wouldn't be quoted the price that the doctor charged; it seems he never felt comfortable telling me that his price was so high, because he knows no one would ever pay that much for a varicose vein treatment. This needs to get resolved with honesty and transparency.
Sincerely,
***** ****Business Response

USA Vein Clinics practice deceptive, high-pressure billing tactics and conduct business operations poorly. I have been a patient at USA Vein Clinics for over seven months, during which time I have made numerous visits to the ************ office for evaluation, treatments, and follow-ups. During that time, USA Vein Clinics has never sent me a written itemized billing statement. Instead, USA Vein Clinics representatives call or text me demanding immediate payment. USA Vein Clinics submitted a claim for one of my treatments as an OUT OF NETWORK provider, which drastically and erroneously increased my share of the cost. I have asked USA Vein Clinics several times to resubmit the claim as an IN NETWORK provider, which they have not done (according to my insurance provider), so I can make proper payment.Recently, USA Vein Clinics charged my credit card without my authorization. I did not authorize those charges with anyone at USA Vein Clinics. Moreover, they used a credit card number that I specifically directed them not to retain on file. I disputed that charge with my credit card company as unauthorized. Finally, I have instructed USA Vein Clinics 1) to not call or text me to demand payments, 2) send written itemized statements to my home address, and 3) to never charge anything to my credit card.If reviews on internet review sites, and complaints submitted to the BBB are any indication, I am not alone in my experience with USA Vein Clinics. I have always paid my bills in full, and in a timely manner. I have never been treated by any business let alone a health care provider with such disdain, lack of respect, and poor business practices as USA Vein Clinics has demonstrated. I seek help from the BBB to resolve this situation by encouraging USA Vein Clinics to resubmit erroneously-filed claims to my health insurance provider, and to send me written statements so I can properly settle my account with them.Business Response

I was charged a $75 fee for a missed appointment. Even though back in December I told them I would not be coming to the appointment they scheduled for me in March. I directly told them to cancel it. I think two and a half months notice to cancel an appointment, that I never even scheduled, is more then enough time. I even replied to their text, reminding me about me appointment, that I want it cancelled. Then I get an email that I am being charged the $75 for a missed appointment/ late cancellation. I had a groupon for this company. I went on March 3rd 2025. The women at the desk scanned the groupon. I got the procedure done. Now the clinic is trying to bill me $350.00 . I sent them the groupon. They never responded back to me. This seems like some sort of scam. I hope this matter can be resolved. I tried calling the company to resolve the issue and they hung up on me. I tried calling the bill department and when I started complaining the man hung up on me.Business Response

I went to USA Vein Clinics multiple times. During two of my visits, they asked for copays up front. I told them these were procedures and there should not be a copay. They said their system is asking for a copay so I paid them - on two separate visits. Once my insurance paid, I received the *** and it showed I did not owe any money for those two visits. This was in March 2023. To this date, after many, many, many phone calls, I still have not received my refund. I get a different story every time I speak with someone. As of lately, they are just telling me that it takes a long time to get a refund. I understand a long time may be six months, but TWO YEARS is ridiculous. They keep telling me they are waiting for a response from corporate. Other representatives have told me that they pushed the issue through and I should get my refund with two weeks -- still has not happened. I just want my refund and it should not take this long. They are a big company.Business Response

I have been receiving treatments from *** Clinics for quite some time. I have ****************** and *******. ******* being the secondary therefore I never pay a copay. USA Vein Clinics have been harassing me for quite a while to pay a copay for treatment done on June 20, 2024. I tell them to bill my secondary. They just keep calling, emailing and texting me to pay this copay. I told them to send me the denial from ******* so I could resolve this problem if there was one. Nothing. Today they said they would but sent me a link to pay the $40 on line. You can see that I haven't paid a copay for previous or later treatment visits. It's just this one. I would like them to fix this on their end so that I don't continue to get contacts from them to pay this $40. I do not owe them $40 at all!!!!! My account # is 2437.Business Response

I am happy to see that USA Vein Clinics are finally taking steps to resolve the $40 copay issue. My am cautiously optimistic however because of my history with them. All other appointments were handled appropriately with the copay except for this one. There were also several people who called me directly insisting that I pay the copay. So I'll wait and see if they really follow through. If not, I'll be contacting you again. Thank you for helping me resolve this problem.

I am writing to express concerns regarding the management practices and workplace culture at *** clinics. It has come to my attention that there are significant discrepancies between the behavior and treatment of staff and the companys stated values.Specifically, there is a manager, ***** ******, whose actions have raised concerns about fairness and professionalism. For example, she frequently enforces strict policies, such as writing employees up for bringing their children to work, while routinely bringing her own children without consequence. Additionally, while employees are penalized for tardiness, *** ****** herself does not consistently adhere to punctuality expectations. As a manager, it is essential that she sets a positive example for the team.Furthermore, there appears to be a lack of transparency and fairness regarding salary increases. When employees inquire about raises, they are often given the run-around, with no clear path forward. This creates an environment of uncertainty and dissatisfaction among staff.Lastly, I am concerned about the qualifications required for individuals in management positions. As per industry standards, a bachelors degree in *************** or a related field is often expected for individuals in managerial roles. However, *** ******, who is responsible for overseeing employees, does not appear to meet these qualifications.I believe these issues reflect a pattern of favoritism and mismanagement, which can have a negative impact on both staff morale and patient care. I respectfully request that the Better Business Bureau look into these matters to ensure a fair and professional working environment for all employees.Business Response
