Teck Electric does not serve their customers to the best of their ability. They find other ways to appease the customer other than the way they suggested to have NIPSCO upgrade a meter. I was then told to get the generator to be placed at my home without having the NIPSCO connection in place. As a customer, I refused to have the unit brought to my home until ****** was able to upgrade the meter. 3 weeks passed and I changed my mind to purchase this unit due to the failure of the upgrade and requested my money back which was $1000 in good faith but was told that I could only back out within 3 days of the intial agreement which I wasn't aware of. 3 months have passed since the intial agreement. All I want is my money returned that I put down knowing that there would be some type of penalty but not assuming that it was $ 1000. When I made the request to back out, they suggested to come out and find another way other than NIPSCO coming out and upgrading the meter. I wanted it done the right way. They never told me about another way in the beginning.**********

Teck Electric was great form the start. On time, well-mannered young men who installed my generator were very informative. They cleaned up the work area, answered all of my questions and explained everything to me. Thank you, ****!!

Teck Ele showed up over an hour late, their crew consisted of a 18 & 19 yr old with another guy late 20s, I was very uncomfortable with them installing my generator I told the crew that and they totally understood but when I called the company some woman named ***** got nasty with me on the phone so of course I got nasty back. first let me say that ***** had lied to me and said i needed a permit, and further said that the County needed to see my signature so that they could approve it (another lie) so me like a big dummy signed it and sent it back. So I decided to call the county myself and guess what No permit is needed and NO signature was ever needed she just wanted me to sign the contract. as I called her to tell her I was uncomfortable she didnt care so I said forget it cancel the contract and she said there would be a 10% cancelation fee, I told her you will not be getting a single ***** from me and even got nastier so I was just as nasty and told her to stick the contract up her A@% and hung up on her, in the meantime the crew was still here and all of a sudden they pulled out of my driveway and turned the corner like a bat outta h*** As 10 mins go by I realize why they let in such a hurry, ***** had called the Sherriff on me and told them that I was holding her crew here against there will, needless to say I was like wth no such thing even happened as I told the officers they can look on my ring camera and see the whole thing, they didnt want to see it cause they knew it was a lie. the deception with this company is wrong and you dont send out teenages to mess with el. or gas, I happen to ;ove my house and didnt want it to blow up or burn down. Very unethical business practices. Do Not Hire them!!

************** from TECK Electric; arrived promptly as scheduled and installed our Generac natural gas back up generator. It was an enormous unit and involved quite an expertise. These young (well trained) men were sharp as tacks and worked in sync like nobody I have ever seen. Every question I had was answered professionally without slowing down their pace.***** then explained how to monitor the unit, and set it to start every Saturday at noon to make sure it is running right for 5 minutes and the proper lights are displayed.We were very impressed, and pleased with our purchase. You would think that by calling a company called Teck Electric that there would be licensed ELECTRICIANS coming to your house to install a generator but they aren't. They are young guys supposedly trained by Generac. My generator was installed by them in September 2021. It has leaked gas twice now since Nipsco came to my door to tell me because a neighbor smelled gas. I am totally disgusted with ********************* who I have been dealing with. Nipsco said the valve was broken. Teck Electric came out and supposedly fixed it but the second time Nipsco came out I was told the valve was broken again. Nipsco said that if it had been fixed that they tightened it too much and it broke again. I have been dealing with this problem since March 02, 2022. My gas bills are higher than normal, the town inspector has gotten involved as well as the *** for the Gates of St. ****. My house could have blown up with me and my dogs in it but nobody seems to care about that. I am very upset and frustrated and am unsure as to what I am going to do next. Thank goodness Nipsco fixed it this second time. Thank you Nipsco!
