      Do not get aura. The web protection for kids did not work. The time limit for kids did not work. **** never responded to emails. Left phone message and never returned call. Please try another software if you are looking to protect your children from bad websites.

      They refuse to give me a refund me after Id requested cancellation prior to auto renewal. I didnt authorize them to auto renew me. They do so by default. Deceptive. Money grabbers,

      Were sorry for the frustration this situation caused. After reviewing your account, we confirmed that a renewal reminder was sent on September 3, 2025, and was opened. On October 3, 2025, you requested cancellation via email and were provided cancellation options. On October 16, 2025, you reached out through chat to cancel and were given the phone number to complete the process. Later that day, you called after cancelling on the website and requested a refund. Because the request came after the renewal processed, the refund was initially denied per our money-back guarantee policy. However, as a courtesy, **** honored your request, fully cancelled your account, and issued a $108 refund to the card on file. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

      Aura is a scam company.. I am told by the loyalty **** my renewal rate and then the full amount is deducted. My renewal rate was submitted but not approved...but the agent could help me at $108 instead of $60 as agreed. The entire loyalty department is busy. I am going elsewhere. As most companies these days once they have a billing channel they hope you will not notice. The irony is when I spoke with Aura the card on file had changed and I updated it being an honest American citizen with them on the phone.

      Were very sorry for the frustration this situation caused. After reviewing your account, our records show that you enrolled in the Aura AV Intro Pricing Ultimate, Individual plan at an introductory rate of $59.99 on October 19, 2024. This was a first-year promotional rate, and the renewal price for the second year was $137.79.
      On October 9, 2025, you called in to discuss the price increase, and we offered to keep you on the $59.99 price plan. Unfortunately, the plan change did not take effect, and you were billed the full renewal amount. You later called back to cancel.
      Due to this error on our part, we honored your cancellation and processed a full refund of $137.79 on October 19, 2025. If you need further assistance, our ************* Team is available 24/7 at **************.

      Cancellation difficulty I tried to cancel, after I opened a new credit card and was never notified by them regarding this. What good are they if they do not notify me when a new credit card is opened. Called to cancel, was put on hold for ten minutes, transferred, to another **** who refused to cancel and kept trying to sell me until I screamed at her. I do not trust them and will follow up with credit card that I use to pay them. You should not have to go thru such difficultly, in order to cancel. STAY AWAY

      We understand how upsetting it must have been to open a new credit card with Macys and not receive any notification about it. Please note that Aura can only report a new credit card opening once it has been reported to at least one of the major credit bureaus..
      Monthly Aura subscriptions remain active through the end of the current billing cycle so members retain access to all paid benefits. In your case, your account will remain active until 10/24/2025, after which it will be fully closed and will not be billed again.

      They do not have permission to use my credit card for services that they did not render. They cannot dictate to me when they will be billing my account again. I will contest it with my credit card co.which has been notified. What a SCAM accompany they are.

      Advertising for first year price is misleading and untrue. I signed up for the ultimate plan - the most comprehensive plan they had that included all services. Reg price $129 with 53% (around $70+ off) so I paid around $50+ for the year. For starters, there are NO directions for completing the forms including that the username has to be your email address. I did not enter my middle name and then had to call support to get that changed. While talking to support she verified that I had signed up for a very limited plan because of the price I paid. So what I thought I signed up for was in reality not what I was getting. I needed the support team for a lot of basic info that any other app should be able to do independently online. I dont understand the very high rating Aura gets on consumer reports etc because this is a scam if Ive ever seen one. I cancelled my subscription and it takes 3-5 days to get a refund on my credit card. Dont fall for their bogus advertising.

      Price gouging renewal. Have used the credit monitoring for a few years, was promised the price would never change. This year, got a renewal for a 60%+ price increase. I called to question it. I was told it was a market test rate to see how many people would just accept it and pay it or how many cancellations they would get. This is an absurd business practice and not a company that I choose to continue to work with. Greed is one thing, deceptive gouging greed is a whole new level of business . I asked about options and they told me they could discuss discounts and I requested an email with options, and they told me they can only discuss them verbally - nothing in writing. This tells me this company has now turned in to a dishonest disreputable organization. Have cancelled, will never recommend.

      I am not going to waste any further time debating this company. The facts are that I signed up for this service several years ago and was promised, never a price increase, of which I was skeptical. When I received notice of renewal this year, it said "your new price of xxx", which was over 60% higher than what I've paid for the past several years. No reason for the increase, just "your new price". When I called, after the agent said that it was a marketing trial to push a price increase and see how many people cancel, vs just pay it, I complained and the agent then offered, we can provide some discounts of x** or ***, it varies. I requested the information in writing, via email. Agent said, we can't put this in writing, verbal only. I deferred. The practices of this company now---whether it's ownership change, or just greed, are not trustworthy and I suspect they are as corrupt as any of the data hackers that are trying to steal your information. I absolutely cannot recommend this company. And, prior to 2 months ago, I would have given a mostly positive review. It is sad what some greedy, corrupt corporate marketing people can do to a company reputation in just a few weeks.

      Worst company I ever dealt with.when you want to cancel they make it impossible.never answer there phones,then when you talk to them they cant find your ************* excuse after a another.probably have to change my c.c. Number,so they cant renew.unbelievable!

      Avoid at all cost. Complete rip off. Screwed up a bunch of my accounts so I have to change a bunch of passwords, supposedly sent emails requesting my info be removed but suddenly I am getting dozens of new spam emails. Misses two fraudulent charges, never informed me. Run do not walk.
