      I applied for apartments that used this business as the reference for my credit profile. The business stated I had severity of a subject on my credit report. When I do not. I tried to submit a form to dispute on their website but it is not allowing me to submit the claim. I know they will try to say they can't disclose information through this complaint so that's why I'm not stating specific information. I do need contact to get this issue resolved.

      Yesterday I applied at my complex to transfer to another unit after living here for almost 2 years already. RentGrow told the leasing office that Im high risk because of severe level of charge offs I had 2 charge offs, both resolved years ago, and the total balance of the 2 was $501 according to their report. Because of this my leasing company wants me to pay a full security deposit to transfer, I asked if they just started using rentgrow in the time Ive been living here and they said no. When I initially moved in I paid the minimum deposit because nothing was wrong, now all the sudden stuff is flagging.

      I am being denied housing due to information provided by RentGrow to landlords. The negative information is currently in dispute in the Clark County courts and RentGrow offers no remediation, leaving me without the ability to find housing. Their assessment that I am not a worthy renter is based on inaccurate information, and still has nothing to do with housing. I have no evictions, no late payments to any rental, no courts judgements, etc.. and the negative marks used by RentGrow are for an account unrelated to anything housing that is also six years old.

      Rentgrow is using information that has nothing to do with my credibility as a renter, specifically numerous accounts with one financial organization that have nothing to do with rent, and those accounts are in dispute in the court system now.  Rentgrow has no mechanism for remediating this information.  Finally, while Rentgrow may place the responsibility on the renter, renters are, in fact, using these reports as the deciding criteria for applicants.

      I have never had an eviction, never had a rental related judgement against me, never had any issues in decades of renting, and a completely unrelated issue is preventing me, via Rentgrow's actions, from finding new accommodations after my current rental was sold.

I am a resident of ********** and recently applied to rent an apartment in ***********. Unfortunately, my application was rejected due to inaccurate information on my credit report.The Problem:A previous landlord reported erroneous information to Experian, a consumer credit reporting agency.RentGrow uses data from Experian, and based on this inaccurate information, they provided a negative report to my potential new landlord.This resulted in the rejection of my application, causing me significant financial hardship and emotional distress.My Actions:I have disputed the inaccurate information with RentGrow.However, their investigation is claimed to take up to 30 days, which I cannot afford to wait.I have provided RentGrow with documentation proving the disputed information is incorrect, including:Proof of payment for the amount in question.Accurate lease information from my previous landlord.The Impact:Due to the delay and inaccurate report, I am currently homeless.I have resorted to temporary accommodation in hotels or even my office because of the denied application.Since many landlords rely on RentGrow for credit screening, future applications might be denied based on this inaccurate data.My Request:I kindly request the Better Business Bureau to intervene on my behalf and expedite a resolution with RentGrow.       I am writing to dispute inaccurate information on my RentGrow report. I have already contacted RentGrow and provided them with all the necessary documentation to support my dispute.
      While RentGrow investigates the issue with Experian's RentBureau, I request the removal of the inaccurate information from my report. Keeping this information on my file is a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and is causing me significant financial and emotional distress.
      The inaccurate information has hindered my ability to secure housing, potentially leading to homelessness.

      The response that rentgrow has provided is simply not true. I have contacted the property that I applied for and they have not received any form of contact from rentgrow in my regard stating that my dispute has been resolved. I contacted rentgrow by phone and they advised me that the response they have provided us (myself and Bbb) was never sent out.

      Despite providing ample evidence, they reiterated the same response. I am requesting the removal of the rejection as the *** lacks verification that the individual mentioned in the case is indeed me. Have you personally verified that the person involved matches my identity? I submitted all necessary documentation, yet the promised research was not conducted; instead, I was directed to a third-party company. I require evidence that the information being reported is accurate.

      I applied to an apartment that uses Rentgrow as a 3rd party vendor to check background. The report contained inaccurate information, from how high my credit line is to my rental history. But what concerned me the most was that the Rentgrow report said that I lacked sufficient rental history, which was required at 2 years. I have rented for the past 11 years, 9 years at one complex and even listed the address. As a result I was told I had to meet additional requirements, including paying a higher security deposit. So I filed a dispute on the website and then they wrote back a boilerplate response that included this text: Dispute unclear. We cannot tell what you are trying to dispute. Please resubmit your dispute and clearly indicate what you are disputing or contact the RentGrow Consumer Relations team to provide additional information.Disputed information not reported by RentGrow. Your dispute cannot be processed because the information you are disputing was not included on the screening report prepared by RentGrow. If you believe someone is reporting information about you that is incorrect or incomplete, you may wish to contact them directly.They had a list of 7 + reasons why my dispute couldn't be processed. They obviously didn't look at my dispute, don't try to report accurate information and I believe it's illegal to do so. I want them to fix my report and also stop illegally reporting false information on their reports.

      On March 4 2024 I applied to a ****************************** and they were not honest about their credit report for rent grow, neither was rent grow, as one any pull on credit shows up on credit report, noting this agency used somekinda unethical reporting as they do not show up on any of my three credit agencies reports as any kinda pull! Nothing! Then they put a serious charge off, for a 5000 dollar charge off, the words seriously charged off, and the word use more than one charge off, as I dont have more than one charge off, and then they have the nerve to call me after reporting them to BBB and your company needs to hold this crooked place responsible for their unethical tactics.So where did they get my information, they even reported my social security number is not mine! That full of bull. I got this number in ******** at birth.They need to get their company together or stop reporting unethically, they never pulled any report, so you should be asking them where they got their information at?
