      Horrible Customer service...I have been paying for a year without the service..I am supposed to be able to cancel now..and am not able to.

      contract up with hughesnet changed to a different company. called hughesnet had my service terminated in good standing was sent a box to return equipment did everything perfectly so what happens today hughesnet takes 200 dollars out of my credit card *********** this piss's me off. called them to tell them i have the receipt were equipment was sent back,she says she would look in to it if found equipment to be received that it would take up to 10days for my credit card to be refunded , what a company this is wrong! i ran a business for 26 years i would never do any customer this way. what is wrong with these company's today,and its not just hughesnet dish company;s are just as bad,you get charged for the equipment that you use and when the devise breaks down they want you to pay for a service charge for the rented equipment that you rent from them wth. am sick and tired of getting ripped off by these terrible company's.they need oversight over them and be made to treat consumer's fair

      I made the mistake of signing up with Hughes Net for internet service. Unfortunately, I was locked into a two year contract. After months of buffering, lost connections and no cable TV play back options, I contacted Hughes to cancel service and requested release from my contract. After all, our contract was two part. I paid for service that I didn't receive. If I didn't pay my bill, Hughes would have cancelled my service. I didn't receive any service that worked from them and they are charging me a $251.00 early termination fee. I will never recommend them to anyone and am really ****** off.Rise' (*****) *******************************, **

      Hughesnet by far the worst internet I have ever dealt with! I cancel with them and they want me to climb my roof to get the radio transmitter connected to the dish myself or I have to pay a service fee of like $150.00 to have them do it. This is a freaking joke! Also i paid Septembers internet and have the box disconnected and they are saying that i still have to pay a 100 something fee when they are literally charging me for October when im not going to be using their service and said to use the money they already took out for my cancellation she refused and said my service will cancel at the end of October so she basically charged me a whole month again.

      I am SO DISAPPOINTED!!! I AM NOW PAYING $80 A MONTH FOR INTERNET. I would never have agreed voluntarily to these charges as my provider was only $50 a month. I notice on my bill a 2/2 service discount if $30 applied, I inquire is my bill going to increase $30 next month??? It is. AND, I AM IN A THREE (3) YEAR CONTRACT????!!!!!HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?????!!!!! UGHHHHHH

      Worst service ever. Limped along for 4 years with HughesNet. Poor internet connection (dropped 50% of the time), wifi phone, couldn't connect to ******** subscription, etc. Finally spent over half an hour on the phone trying to convince, and finally demanding that our contract be terminated. This after them sending out a third-party technician to set up their so-called "Jupiter 3" satellite (at $299), with absolutely no improvement. Then they had the nerve to charge another $200 early termination fee. So glad to be rid of this company. Now use a local provider; wonderful internet, lower rates, and they actually have a "brick-and-mortar" office I can go to if needed!

      For your safety/protection: I recommend RECORD ALL CONVERSATIONS WITH HughesNet customer service (of course, do this in a manner that complies with all federal and state laws). HughesNet has a monopoly for internet services in rural parts of *************, and act with zero accountability. They have deceptive business practices. Recently tried to lower my $80 bill, I received a verbal retention offer for service at $50 / 100GB monthly with no contract... but when the bill arrived it was $100 / 50GB. I called back and asked them to review the account notes and they claimed that there was no $50 offer. I told them to pull the recording of the call and get back to me. When I did not hear from them, I called again, and magically, there were now notes for a $100 / 50GB offer. I was paying $80 dollars and did not agree to increase in the bill. I called to cancel service over a month ago and another bill arrived today. HughesNet is the single most deceptive company I have done business with and preys on customers who have no other choice for internet service.

      Booked an appointment online to install internet on the following Friday. A couple days later, received a call asking if I'd want to reschedule to an earlier date. I accepted. No one showed and never received a call.Contacted them and they advised my CC was blacklisted & therefore service was cancelled?? However, my card was charged?? So it made no sense. I asked for an explanation. All they could tell me was my card was blacklisted for ************ were refunding my ********...let me get this straight. My name, my address, my credit card all match, but it was blacklisted for ********** CARD WAS CHARGED. They had to REFUND it. Never got a call. Didn't receive anything that advised anything. Definitely going another direction for internet. Worst experience and customer service ever.

      Worst service ever, Im a senior citizen and was lied to from the beginning, We told they did streaming on apps, When I had to go to the help center they said they didnt to streaming, Im 71 years old widow who counts on steaming for my sanity, I was called a liar which all calls r monitored and it was monitored when I got the internet which says they do steamin, Now I have to pay a cancellation charge for something that was not true from the beginning
