On 6-17-2020 and 9-6-2020 I placed orders for **** and 500 rounds of Federal American Eagle **** 55 grain FMJ. Both orders were on backorder and the dates were extended multiple times. On 2 occasions, several months after ordering the ammo, I went into the store to find the exact same ammo on their shelves for extremely marked up prices. I called customer service and the operator couldnt explain why they were not honoring their previous backorders and instead selling the ammo for much more on their shelves. On 2-14-2022 I was informed by Sportsmans Guide that they would like to honor my order but due to shipping issues from the manufacturer they couldnt. They arent honoring their backorders. Instead they are putting that ammo on the shelves and selling it at a much higher price then they had agreed to sell it to customers that were waiting for it on backorder.Business response

Backorders are shipped based on placement of the order, any remaining stock after backorders are fulfilled, are then available to be ordered by the rest of the public. We value your business and in good faith we believed our suppliers would make good on their promises to deliver inventory. We apologize that we had to cancel your order but we didnt feel it was right to keep pushing out the expected dates for your backorder with no end in sight.

I am rejecting this response because:
Sportsmans Guide response is not true in my case and a avoids directly dealing with the issue. WHILE waiting for my two orders of ammo on backorder and agreeing to extend the delivery date multiple times, I went into the store on two occasions and found the exact same ammo ( Federal American Eagle ****, 55grain) for sale on the shelves of their store for extremely marked up prices compared to the backordered prices.#1 WHY IS SPORTSMANS GUIDE PUTTING AMMO CURRENTLY ON BACKORDER TO THEIR CUSTOMERS ON THE SHELVES OF THEIR STORE AT EXTREMELY MARKED UP PRICES INSTEAD OF HONORING THEIR CUSTOMERS BACKORDERS FIRST?

Sportsmans Guides response to my complaint dances around answering the complaint. It states they honor backorders before they honor new orders. That wasnt even an issue in MY complaint. It looks like they are desperate to hide the fact they are putting their greed ahead of fulfilling their customers backorders by selling that product for higher prices on the shelves of their store.
SPORTSMANS GUIDE NEEDS TO HONOR THEIR BACKORDERS BEFORE PUTTING THAT EXACT SAME PRODUCT FOR SALE ON THE SHELVES OF THEIR STORE AT HIGHER PRICES!

The two specific item numbers that were cancelled off your orders, items ****** and ****** were last received in our warehouse on 3/26/20 and 7/24/20, respectively. We fulfill online backorders before moving any product over to the retail store. The determination was made to cancel these items based on us having no information on when we will receive the ammo to fulfill your order.

I bought a skillet for camping 15 months ago from sg buyers club, product is what I wanted and was shipped on time, after a couple months they billed me ***** for a membership fee I never agreed to a membership, I didn't catch it on time to dispute it with bac I emailed them got generic email back so I called them lady told me I would not be billed again and in January they billed me again ***** I changed my cc but they dont need it to **** you this is a scam I have contacted bac filed for refund if bac doesn't refund me my money I'm going to close my account I will not be robbed by this scumbag company againBusiness response
