    Horrible service, missed appointment windows, TWICE they failed to fix the problem and when I called to cancel I was hung up on without so much as an apology. I gave them $400 for a supposed Freon leak that didn't fix the issue, they came out again and claimed to fix the leak, it didn't work. This was during 100 degree weather. ******* **** ****** would not allow me to use any other contractor. Their service is abysmal and I do NOT recommend anyone using Champs, ever.

    We started dealing with Champs because of ******** **** ***** our A/C unit stopped working. It took Champs a few days to respond and set appointment then to come out. We told them what was going on with our unit the service person looked at the unit and said it was the motor then the system kicked on and the diagnoses changed just like that to the compressor. He told my husband he had one on the truck, put that compressor into our system it worked for part of the night then went out again. We had to contact ******** **** ****** again to have Champs back out. They never came back out only to tell us now they knew that the motor was burned out. They told us motors were on order and our motor was part of that order. However they weren't sure when they would be received asked us to give them a week. I called that Friday only to be told the order came in but our motor was not a part of that order. I called ******** **** ****** back to tell them of the circumstances. Our area was facing 100 heat and my husband and I could wait no longer to have the unit repaired. ******** **** ****** told us that Champs was the only HVAC company they had in my area. I was offered a buyout but advised they would pay no more than $660 regardless of cost to have unit repaired. I had another company come in to look at the unit before accepting the buyout only to be told that the wrong size compressor had been put into the unit sending too much power to the motor burning it out. I advised ******** **** ****** of the findings only to be toId that they would have to speak with Champs and whatever they said would be accepted as the truth. Of course Champs said they replaced the same size part removed but our system had run years on the part removed but less than one night on the part Champs put in. We're older and needed the repair so we accepted the buyout of $660, the repair cost us $1225. Champs is unprofessional, unapologetic, unfair and lack integrity.

    I started dealing with Champs through ******** **** ****** around the end of June for my A/C unit. It took Champs a week to respond and set appointment then another 3 days to come out. I told them what was going on with our unit and that we have the unit set on 71 and usually its ***** degrees in the house and if its ****** degrees outside its the same or more inside. I let them know we changed out the filter, changed batteries in the thermostat and dusted the vents I think it needs Freon or maybe its damaged. *** the manager of Champs that I spoke with looked and saw some dirt around the unit and told his asst its a no go dont worry about it. He told me hose unit out and if you still have problems call me back. I called two days later the a/c was still not working right around the 4 th of July it took another week to get in contact. I put in a re call to *** and they are just as bad and refuse to bring any resolution for the situation. I put in 3 re call orders to *** and paid my $100 back in June and still no service. Champs never looked at my unit. I asked *** to send a different contractor but refused unless I pay them another $100 or I have to wait on Champs. Everytime *** the manager of Champs said he would call me he never calls every appointment set he never shows up or calls. I told *** that there is a blind 82 yr old man with a heart condition, breathing issues and strokes and my husband and I have heart diabetes and breathing problems. It has been going on six weeks and still no A/C or any service visit. I called *** left messages for a Supervisor and report done at *************** but no call back. *** called 7/18/22 said they would come around 2:00 pm at 9:00 pm no call no show. Called *** they hung up on me and I sent several text to Champs who now ignores me. I have been professional with both of these companies and they have been unprofessional, unapologetic, unfair and lack integrity or show human decency. Its not accredi.

    This is the worst company every! Our central air went out six days ago. They go outside and tell us we need a specific part. They told us they'll contact Home Shield who's a darn joke! They're just as Awful as Champs heating and cooling. If you need service RUN! There to call us to let us know if Home Shied approved the part. They did. Champs Heating and air-conditioning has not returned a call 6days now. Voice mail full all six day. Worthless! Uncaring, **** ******. I wouldn't refer my worst enemy to these lowlife Home Shield is even worst!!! IMy husband had a stroke. My cousin breathing problem. They could care less. If anything happens to either of my family members! I'm contacting a lawyers! Avoid them both!! Horrible!!!!!

    This company was referred to me through my home warranty company. The guy was very nice over the phone and said he would be out to fix my air conditioner.He did came one time and did very minimal work and referred it to an electrician, the electrician said that it was not electrical. So he was supposed to come back out, once again very pleasant on the phone. However gave me a day and time..I called and left message to check on his arrival status. He never called ..then home warranty company called him he lied and said he didnt give me a time but would be out laterHe never showed or called. I have been with air since May 11th dealing with this situation. This is not a reliable company!
