1 starDont expect to get your reward dollars back if purchase is returned! I bought a dress for $29.99 and used $30 in reward dollars. When l returned item l was told my $30 in reward dollars would be returned to my account. My account showed $31.00 in pending rewards but to wait 10 days and call. After 10 days l called and was told there was no record of my order nor return and nothing shown pending. My account now shows return and $19.99 in reward dollarswhich l also didnt get. Also no one at Belk in *********** knows how to exchange items so you have to wait until rewards are returned to purchase correct size. I have also sent a request email to which *** had no response. Good luck on finding a salesperson if you shop on site. I am very disappointed in how this company does business.Review fromKimberly T

1 starThe Belk credit card compares unfavorably to other credit cards. The customers "earns" ********************** Rewards for using the card, but the merchandise the customer can buy with it is inferior and substandard. For the second year in a row, this customer received a Birthday Coupon for $10 towards the next order. And TWICE in two years, the coupon received in my mailbox and email was INVALID. Upon calling their customer service on 4/18 to voice a complaint, the representative said that the coupon received in this customer's email and mailbox was a bogus one, and not sent by the REAL BELK company. 1 starThey sent me one pair of pants with a hole in them and another without a tag. When I took it to the store to return, they wouldn't take the one without the tag. I also never received a confirmation email. So I had to call customer support. They emailed me a return label but neglected to tell me it would take $11 out of my refund. It's their fault I had to return by mail so I shouldn't have to pay for that!!Review fromLaura C

1 starPlace and order this morning and as soon as I place it I saw that is was being shipped to the wrong address. I cancel the order and could not see where it was cancel.But realize it can sometime take a few minutes for the computer to talk to each other I waited . I then called customer service was on hold forever . I then hung up and walked out with my ************ and then tried calling when we got in the car. I then went to hold again and finally got someone who proceeded to tell me they could not help me nor had it been cancel. Now I could understand if this was the next day or something but this was literally only less than a hour . Even after explaining that was no one there that was connected with the address and I know changing address with *** or ***** does not work and they know that. So now my granddaughters Easter dresses will be going I do not know where . Do not shop with them because they will not help you at all.Review fromMi P

1 starI went to purchase luggage. I found a set that I liked and went to check out. The price at the register was not the price on display so I went to take a picture. I was told that they would honor the price after speaking with an associate who had just clocked out. She sent me to someone else and once I get there, the last name ***** told me that was not the correct price and they would not honor it. Even after going back there to see the price which was on display. I told her to show me what was the product on display of the price I saw and she COULD NOT, even after saying that she set the display. RIDICULOUS!!Review fromJacqueline J

1 starI have been trying to resolve an error with a delivery for over two weeks with no luck. I have been to the in person store and had four different lengthy calls. This process has been extremely frustrating and has left me feeling quite concerned, frustrated and resolved to never shop with Belk again. It's unfortunate. Growing up, Belk always had the reputation of having the best customer service of any other school. Now the opposite is true. I received a package with four pairs of shoes I didn't order. My card was charged. The shoes I did order never arrived. The store can't take the return because I don't have any record of ordering them. I filed a claim on 3/6 with no response. I'm charged for shoes I didn't order, have no way to return them and still am carrying a box of shoes around that I didn't order. So frustrating!Review fromKhaleelah R

1 starDuring my visit, I was subjected to behavior that was both inappropriate and discriminatory. I went to the store to exchange a Christmas gift that was purchased for a friend that was too small and when I got to the cashier line, there was a cashier by the name of ***** working with someone, a Caucasian lady next in line, and myself who was standing behind the Caucasian lady. After waiting about 7-10 minutes, a new cashier by the name of ****** approached and told the Caucasian lady he would check her out. Their transaction was quick lasting about 1-2 minutes, and instead of ****** taking me next, he walked away as if it was only important to relieve a Caucasian lady of her wait time and to h*** with the African American woman who was also waiting. I watched him walk away and wander around the store when he could have easily checked me out. After waiting another 5 minutes, ***** was finished with the customers and he asked me, are you ready to check out. I felt not only irritated but as if he was trying to be funny considering I had been waiting in line for approximately 15 minutes. I initially wanted a store credit so I could find another gift for my friend at Belk, but considering the discriminatory and racist actions, I requested a refund and asked to speak to the manager. Shortly after, ****** walked back over and asked what was going on. ***** then advised that I requested to speak to a manager, and he asked why. ***** then said, she just wants to talk to a manager. ***** called for a manager and shortly after, ***** appeared. I explained the situation to *****, and he was apologetic about the situation and stated he would take care of it, but I felt it necessary to reach out to the corporation to ensure that this situation was addressed. I felt that my race played a significant role in the way I was treated, and it left me feeling humiliated and uncomfortable.Review fromAshley M

1 starThe **********, N.C. store located within the mall is not a place I recommend for anyone to do business with. Particularly if you are a minority. I am a Conservative, using the race card is not something I do. With that said, I am also disgusted with the way I was treated this evening at the ********** (*******), N.C. Belk located within *************. It is hard to deny the fairly blatant discrimatory manner with which I was treated to and I imagine if my characteristics were not of my skin tone, I absolutely believe I would have been spoken to respectfully and in a normal manner. I intend to contact the Store Manager . Mrs. ******* ******, on Monday. I asked for that information upon leaving because I am disgusted and frankly no individual deserves to be treated by an employee at Belk as less than, ignorant and second class. I WILL never step foot in there. What's funny is, My sister is a Supervisor at Belk in **************. If anything, perhaps the rude individuals in ********** will receive basic adequate training in customer service and how to better represent the diverse company they work for. God bless. 1 starI placed several orders before Christmas. The orders arrived and were clearly returned items that had been worn. Two were the wrong style, color and size. Another was extremely wrinkled, smelled worn, and obviously worn. I will never order from Belk or shop in store again.
