I took ouut a loan from maxlend a konth or two ago. Im getting charged every two weeks, and 99% of the payment goes to interest. This was not agreed upon. The interest rate comes out to over 500%. Every time they charge $71 the total balance comes down y $2, the rest voes into intefest. These were NOT the terms I agreed upon. They lied about the terms and now im stuck. Tried contacting them, they recused to help. I tried stolpping one payment and theh changed their name seberal times and still charged me! I cannot afford this. Everytime I make a payment, the majority judt goes to interest I mever wouldve signed up for a loan if I knew they would switch up the term. I never agreed to such high rates and maxlend purposely mislead me and locked me into an unfair agreement. Next step is to contact a team of lawyers, im not letting them gett away with lying like this.Business Response

I started a loan with Maxlend on January 2025 for $900.000 and was paying the loan back on a weekly basis. I paid $700 dollars on the loan and all the payments were applied to the interest. When I contacted them to explain that I lost my job in March 2025 and I would not be able to make payments they continued to debit my account which led to overdraft charges up to $88.00 dollars. I have tried to contact them to negotiate a settlement of the loan but they have been unwilling to discuss the overdraft charges they cost me. This company is a scam and it has been a nightmare to get this situation resolve. I don't know how they are still in business.Business Response

In November of 2024 a loan of 775$ was acquired from this company in December 220$ was taken followed by 3 additional payments of 450$, I assumed that was the end of the contract, come to find out Im supposed to pay this amount of 450$ until August! Going on nearly 5,000$ for 775$ I am unfortunately a cancer patient and currently only receive DIC, my the Va due to my husband passing. I was aware that Id of course likely pay more than double, but this is insanity!, the amount is unheard of and due to such a high monthly amount I cant just pay it off, this should be illegal, recently made an agreement for them to pay off the loan and take it out on the 2nd, they of course tried to pull it the 1st and its caused a whole host of issues, they did admit today that it was supposed to be the 2nd, but still!. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!! They dont care about people in a bad position or widows of military service they just want to s**** people.Business Response

I took out a small loan of $250 from Maxlend back in March of 2023. I made payments totaling well over the $250 amount just to never even come close to touching the $250 balance as all of my payment would go to the crazy high interest rate of ******% interest rate, which I now know is illegal in *******. I was now contacted by a collections company stating that an amount of over $300 is due. This company takes advantage of people in vulnerable positions. Ive paid the loan back over at this point. Dont use this company!Business Response

I called regarding a $1,000.00 short-term loan that would be paid back within a week. The payback info I was provided had me paying them over ****** monthly for the next 6 months. God know what interest rate that works out to. I obviously decided not to take the loan and informed the call taker of this. Now I am getting texts stating my loan is being processed. My bank is on the alert for any unexpected deposits into my account. Kindly do as I asked and cease all further processing of this unwanted loan.Business Response

Last December 2024 this company issued a loan for $3,000. A couple of weeks ago, they text me and said the loan balance was $3505.03. Today they text me again taking another payment on 3/14 in the amount of $570.47 because the balance is still $3505.03 With the government shut down looming and lost of my job 3 25 25, I can not no longer pay this unreasonable loan for the next 8 months with a final payment of $8,000 for $3,000. This is unreal and must be stopped as I can no longer linger on for another a months paying $8,000 more. Stop these people!Business Response
