Future customers should know of my disappointment with the timeshare contract purchased from Boardwalk Resorts company in 1998. Despite assurances from the sales staff about exchanging our timeshare for various destinations, our experience over the past 26 years has been unsatisfactory. We've rarely been able to use the timeshare as intended and often had to settle for less desirable options, leading to extra costs with mandatory Get-Away packages. Additionally, some destinations have had unacceptable conditions, such as dirty accommodations and a lack of essential amenities. A specific incident in ****** involved long waits for gate access staff, and during our stay at The ******************* in ***********, the conditions were so poor that we had to clean the room ourselves. As maintenance fees and taxes rise, this timeshare feels like an unending burden that we do not want to pass on to our children. Despite multiple attempts to address these issues, we have received no response. I request a viable option to exit this timeshare contract.Review from Meeka A

Family stayed there August 2024. The front desk women are so unprofessional, rude, have not a clue to what they are doing. I felt uneasy giving or showing any of my personal information to them. They tell you one thing and give you something totally different. I had in my reservation request for lower level floor due to vertigo and they still put me on the 26th floor, ridiculous. The bathroom was not clean, the hallways floors were dirty and worn. The indoor pool was freezing cold. My in-laws had got booked into their room. While in the room they hear someone entering with card key and the door opened. The front desk booked someone else in the room while they were already in the room. They wind up giving the room to the new people and moved my inlaws to another room. That is totally unacceptable. I will never be staying at The Flagship hotel, ************** ever again.Review from TONI W

I currently own timeshare privileges at the now renamed Boardwalk Resort which use to be called Flagship resort. I have paid my annual maintenance fee as contracted however I am not being allowed to book a reservation as of today. My online banking account indicates that Flagship/Boardwalk has received my balance payment as of July 15, 2024 however they are locking my account to make reservations online , even though my online account is reporting that I have a zero balance. I have spent several hours on the phone with the maintenance department speaking to the most unknowledgeable and unprofessional representatives. The representatives are Black and speak to me in a ghetto manner, accusing me of not reading my mail referencing that my account has been placed in collections. The representative alleged that I had not made a payment in 45 days so my maintenance fees were sent to a collection agency called Meridian. However, my online banking payment center indicates that payments were made and checks cashed withing 35 days. I really dislike this management and I am so sorry I purchased this ghetto timeshare with ghetto acting staff whom are nasty and unhelpful and quick to recklessly ruin a good credit report because of their own miscommunications with both myself and *************************** Additionally, when Flagship changed management to Boardwalk Resorts; my Owner ID account number was also changed and I was not informed of the change. Meridian is still using my old and defunct Owner's ID number so how could my payments with the new ID number be correctly applied to my account. I do not recommend any more Black American people buy at this resort which we seem to be the demographic that is targeted through advertisement. I do not believe if this was a predominantly White ********* and I were a White owner I would have been treated in such a reckless manner and my good credit standard so recklessly affected by these bad actors at this Resort.Review from Jeffrey E.

We stayed at the Flagship Resort in ************* ** for 7 days.1) ***y give you 2 rolls of toilet paper to start with ( IF you need more YOU have to go out and BUY it yourself).2) You start with 1 pack of ************** and 1 pack of Decaf (IF you need more YOU have to go out and BUY it yourself.3) *** Services we had are the WORST from the rude receptionist at the front desk, to the maid on our floor who NEVER emptied the garbage that we put outside our door for 3 days, we had to CALL housekeeping for them to come get it. 4) 4 PEOPLE in our room, 2 coffee cups, NO DISH TOWELS.5) We asked several times but NONE of our shower towels, face wash clothes or hand towels that were dirty, they WERE EVER changed out or replaced.6) Here is the kicker:When you check out, YOU ARE EXPECTED TO STRIP YOUR LINENS OFF THE **** FOR THEM. ** I WILL NEVER STAY AT, OR HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS place!!*** ONLY people who can take the blame is from the MANAGEMENT on down. I have owned my timeshare with Flagship Resort for years. It has been paid in full for years. I originally used for one night stay but never for a week. Our original intent was to purchase so that we could go on trips with our family. They changed points system, invited us to other presentation but it was always a push to upgrade. We have NEVER upgraded with them. They ate so pushy. We have called to have them take back our unit for free and they won't because they are getting money from maintenance fees. We had a very terrible experience with them years ago where we booked a weekend with them, they overbooked and at 2:00am had to drive home. They had no units available. I did write a letter to the organization and I never even received a letter apologizing. Now, we are seniors and cannot the maintenance fees. We need to get out.Review from Natasha S

This company has defrauded me for years. Everything they said to us is a lie. We bought a time share with this company in 2014 never got to use it at all, supposedly have a condo in Atlantic Ciry and its never available to us, but if you go on Expedia or any of the search engines they are renting it out and making so much money, in 2021 we were able to pay of the mortgage and now these people are harrasing us for maintenance fee, threatening to send us to collection agency. I am so over this company, which they go by many different names, Atlantic Palace is another name they go by and the list goes on. They are thief and I pray no one have to go through what they are putting me and my husband through, they are running a company full of deceit, God see every unjust and they will eventually pay for all their greed, either in this life or when they meet their maker one good day. I am warning anyone who ever run into someone whos advertising this company to run the other way and please dont get trap into this deceitful company. This company is a living nightmare and I dont understand how the government can allow such operations to exist in a country like American.Review from Johnny D

This company is full of decent *** lies they will ***** everything to wheel u in buy not that *** a life time contract with maintenance fees that increase every year. They also do not tell u verbally that u only have 7 days to cancel this contract and if u don't it's a night mare of long lasting bills to u die. I want to come on here and just warn as many people as I can about Flagship Resorts. They have completely manipulated us into purchasing a timeshare pack with them. On top of manipulating us and pressuring us, they lied to us about the details of the contract and what everything means. When we asked questions, they would dance around it and not answer. They made us feel small. They failed to disclose fees, RCI, recission periods, interest, and probably more that we are still not aware of. The Flagship employees performed an UNAUTHORIZED credit check, which I did not learn about until later. They had claimed we can make rental income off this purchase, but in reality, we did not buy any physical property. I can go on about the horrible things they have done and all the lies they told us, but all you need to do is read the other reviews about, which is eerily similar to our storywhich means their actions are systemic and intentional.We had sent Flagship a letter with all the details of our disappointment and the fraudulent actions that took place, and we have not heard anything back. They do not care about their customers. My husband is a retired veteran and has become ill with medical issues, so we cannot continue to burden ourselves by paying for something useless.Review from Patricia W

We were deceived, lied to, and bamboozled into buying a timeshare that has done nothing but drain our pockets and deliver disappointment. We were promised flexibility, cost savings, and a simple exchange process. Instead, we got restrictive booking windows, skyrocketing maintenance fees, and an exchange system that seemingly always fell short of our requests. Our dreams of frequent visits to our family in ************* turned into a nightmare of unavailable accommodations and frustrating negotiations. We were not naive consumers; we were misled by persuasive salespeople who sold us an illusion, not a service. Now, at the twilight of our years, we're burdened with a financial liability that's become more of a shackle than a gateway to vacation bliss. We refuse to pass this burden onto our children and are adamant about severing ties with this regrettable investment. It's not just about the money; it's about the principle, the sheer audacity of the company to exploit trusting customers and then turn a deaf ear to their woes. We demand justice, and we will not stop until we have it.
