      Estimate given last week August, cash deposit of $1,000. Given September 13th.. 3 weeks ago scraped dirt and put forms down, up until this time and since then it has been excuse after excuse not enough workers, workers sick, no one to help with cement, weather, on other jobs and supposedly trying to finish others jobs. Very unprofessional in responding to emails and or calls mostly no response at all. Until November 26th when I advise want refund for not being able to finish in over 3 months time. Want refund.

           On 7/28/22 a check (****) was sent to Imperial for a downpayment to remove & replace existing staircase as well as the four blocks in front of the steps. job was scheduled for the summer of 2022 with the job taking approx 5 days to complete. There have been numerous calls and texts over the past year. The contractor repeatedly uses the weather, not having employees willing to work and being 5 months behind as the reason why the job has not been started.    In addition we were given 5 different start dates. All were no shows and no calls.

      BBB spoke to the business owner and the following was relayed: I've been in contact with this customer.  The early snowfall last November put our schedule behind.  Regardless, I assured them that I will have the job completed by November 15th of this year.  If I do not have the job completed by November 15th of this year, I told her that I will return her deposit check.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.   Regards,  ******* **** I am rejecting this response as I do not trust this company to keep their word. We DO NOT want Imperial to do this job as we have already set up another company to do the necessary repairs. Also, we want our deposit of $8,400.00 returned immediately. Our church board has decided to cut their ties with Imperial completely .

      On 4/15/2022, we contracted with Imperial Concrete (Imperial Home Services LLC) and gave them a deposit check of $500.00 to secure our place in line. They were to replace our patio, driveway apron, install a new stoop and other sections of our driveway. The approximate start date was to be in the middle of May 2022. NO SHOW!! On 8/15/2022, we called and Joe said he would be back in our area in the next 10 days and we were 2nd on the list. NO SHOW!! We made multiple calls in October and November and left messages with his answering service. He finally called on 11/15/2022 stating we had slipped through the cracks; that he would still do the job this year or be early next spring, or refund our deposit. We told him we would like our deposit back, by Thanksgiving of 2022. On 11/30/2022 I called and Joe answered his phone and said he would bring the $500.00 cash to our house the next day. NO SHOW!! As of date of posting this complaint, we have called daily and left messages with his service and have NOT RECEIVED A RETURN CALL!! WE WANT A FULL REFUND OF OUR DEPOSIT.

      Requested refund after no call/no show the week they said they would start. He immediately became defensive saying it was only a week. Was told he was going to contact his lawyer multiple times. We even offered to pay for his time when he came out to give our free estimate (and 1 other time to remeasure). Was told again he was contacting his lawyer. We never had a contract or any specs drawn up. Only the estimate. Nothing on our estimate or in our communications stated deposit was nonrefundable. Still have not heard from said attorney or seen any deposit money.

      Response taken by phone:  We originally met in April and scheduled the job in August after the customer closed on their home. Her estimate says we will do the job the beginning of August.   Because our work is seasonal, dependent on weather and availability of cement ,we cannot give an exact start date.  She called 8/2 to find out when we were coming and I let her know we were planning on doing doing the job next week.  She then stated she no longer wanted to have the work done and requested her deposit back.  I am willing to refund half of her deposit for my time to  release her from the obligations of the contract.
