Policies are geared to help companies remove low reviews. They claim they have a broad range of acceptable documentation to prove that you had an interaction with a company but it's very narrow and they will also blatantly ignore documentation that meets standards. I had an interaction with a company where I did not provide them my address and they started mailing me mailers. The company played dumb. I warned people about their use of tracking cookies, and the company flagged my review. They also called me twice trying to get me to change the review. Trustpilot didn't care, and claimed the mailer I received wasn't good enough. They said it didn't have the company name when it did, in bold, on the front.Do not trust trustpilot for company reviews. Go to BBB and if the company isn't there then just avoid it.Trustpilot, Inc.

Trustpilot is a criminal organization that suppresses negative reviews based on no evidence. Trustpilot protects companies that facilitate crimes such as blackmail and exploitation, sexual degrading **** and all sorts of nasty fraud. But they go out there way to remove negative reviews, harass the reviewers, and label ** as defamation when all we did was provide proof. Online reviews have First Amendment protections. They are most likely taking bribes from companies to suppress negative reviews. In addition, I've found positive reviews under the company I reported that show clear fake reviews that show no experience in the review. They are flagging my review and threatening me with defamation but its all a scare tactic because these people wouldn't dare to meet me in court.Trustpilot, Inc.

Trustpilot takes advantage of their business customers. They locked my small business into a contract for $1800/quarter (which is double any of their listed pricing.) I couldn't afford it and attempted to cancel, whereby I was informed that I only have one 30 day period per year that I can cancel the contract. That detail was not on the contract, but buried in an additional terms and conditions link. It's a disgusting business model. I tried multiple contacts and departments and was still sent to collections for $1800 x 3 for a service that has not been active in 11 months. This company is predatory.Trustpilot, Inc.

Hi,
Thanks for the review. We do require everyone to cancel within the terms of their contract.

1 starTrustpilot is allowing scam get-paid-to-click websites to post fake reviews of successful payments even though users have complained about not getting paid. They continue to boost the rating of the company due to the number of fake reviews received for every negative true review received. It is a numbers game and it is misleading to consumers. No real payments have been received by actual users from these sites (*********** *********** ******** *********).Review fromnate a

1 starTrust pilot can't be trusted. We know they manipulate real reviews, we know they manipulate reviews on behalf of the businesses. We know for a fact they allow businesses that pay them to violate their guidelines repeatedly. Trust pilot pretends that consumers reporting anything to them matters. I'd argue the majority of their actions in their trust pilots review of the year. Are on behalf of businesses that pay them. I don't believe they know what trust is and I think they do everything in their power to cash in on defrauding consumers and manipulating their trust. With the countless fake reviews. Spending a small time on trust pilot one can spot the obvious nature that is trust pilot can't be trusted at all. They make up ad hominem responses. They tell you about what they do with no proof or 3rd party independent audit. In fact you are supposed to trust them while they are acting in a distrustful manner. It's my opinion they formed this company for the sole reason of defrauding consumers world wide. If that wasn't the case they'd actually do something with the reports instead of taking more money from companies to make negative reviews disappear. Contrary to what they say. They absolutely take cash to overlook fake reviews and remove real negative reviews to defraud consumers in my opinion.Review fromMichael O.

I used Trust Pilot to review a company I paid thousands of dollars to, which failed to deliver on a majority of the contracted services. The company flagged my review multiple times and Trust Pilot made me jump through hoops to keep it published. Trust Pilot requested an invoice as proof of our business together and to list my review as Verified. I provided the invoice, and now they are going to remove it because the payment was over a year ago (even though the company is still interacting with my customers, they freely admitted in their reply). After investigating the other reviews of the company I was reviewing, I discovered most of them were fake. They were from accounts that only give 5-star reviews to the same 3 companies. I notified Trust Pilot about these obviously fake reviews. They have not removed the fake reviews. They have not flagged the fraudulent company. They are telling me they are going to remove my review.Trustpilot, Inc.

Trustpilot rating of excellent of a company that continuously defrauds unwitting customers according to numerous reports on review sites. How is this not aiding and abetting? A negative review was written by me and promptly deleted by Truspilot allowing a fraudulent company to continue the illusion of excellence thereby attracting fresh victims of the scam. Do a search of Trustpilot and behold.Trustpilot, Inc.

I know that this company is unethical and have left a complaint in the past but have noticed something new that is worth mentioning. At first, they continued to delete one of my reviews at the request of the company I was reviewing. Finally, they let the review remain. But they disabled the Useful button for my review so that other users are not able to give the review a thumbs-up. By doing this, they ensure my review becomes less relevant over time. For every other review, the Useful button is active. I have had other people try this and they can confirm that the Useful button is indeed disabled. Honestly, I have never come across a more deceitful company.Trustpilot, Inc.

Hi there,Thanks for your review. However, let's make sure we're on the same page about the removal of reviews. No business can pay to have reviews removed. Both businesses and consumers have the opportunity to flag a review if it goes against our guidelines. Once reviews are flagged and investigated by our Content Integrity Team, they are either reinstated or removed permanently. If a review is removed permanently this means that it goes against our guidelines. If reinstated, the review does not break any platform rules. Our flagging system can be a powerful tool, to combat its overuse by businesses and keyboard warrior consumers we have put some restrictions in place. One of those is that if a business consistently flags reviews using the wrong 'flagging reason' then we temporarily remove their right to flag reviews. Our guidelines and flagging restrictions are in place to safeguard both businesses and consumers on our platform. Please also know that we do not disable the useful button, so if you're having trouble with it loading, contact our support team using this form so they can take a look: *************************************************************** ********** ****Matthew Sutton

The business responded but what they have written is absolutely untrue. For months, they deleted my review over and over again despite me being able to provide documentation and an eyewitness to my experience with the business being reviewed. They finally allowed the review to remain but they have indeed deactivated the Useful button on my specific comment. I have had numerous people with Trustpilot accounts attempt to click on the Useful button and it never retains their selection. So instead of deleting my comment, they are simply making it less relevant in the algorithm they use so that it doesn't show up until the 8th page of reviews despite being fairly recent. A member of Trustpilot has continued to email me in a belligerent manner. This is a highly unethical company. Reviews on Trustpilot are highly manipulated and not indicative of the company being reviewed. They will respond to this with stock verbiage, but nothing they write is true.Review fromDaniel C

1 starTrustPilot is an ********************** A Company ******* emailed me from the TrustPilot system for a review. Well I left a negative review. ******* then requested my personal information through trustpilot. I ignored it. Then trust pilot tells me they are removing my review because I wouldn't cooperate and give my personal information out to a company who already has my information and requested the review in the first place. TrustPilot is not trustworthy. You as a consumer they lie to. They are there to make the company look good. They are a joke and all the good reviews they have are just lies.
