I attempted to purchase tickets from SeatGeek on December 14, 2022. I selected tickets and was set to purchase them. After the purchase, the seller provides a link to TicketMaster in order to transfer the tickets. TicketMaster has a specific URL. Scammers are notorious for creating similar, but different URLs in order to execute their scams. Not only did I inspect the **** but I called TicketMaster to confirm whether the link provided was legitimate before clicking on it. When I spoke to a representative, they confirmed that what I received was NOT a TicketMaster link. I notified SeatGeek that the link was fake, and that I had confirmed so. I provided them multiple emails and screenshots of the fake link, but they kept insisting I click the link to see if the tickets would transfer successfully. Under no circumstances would they cancel the transaction. They said all sales were final. However I was never offered the product I was attempting to pay for. I was only offered a fake link! I am seeking reimbursement for the tickets I NEVER received. I requested a cancellation IMMEDIATELY upon receiving the fake link, so there was no cost to anybody, no lost sale (as there was never a real product offered), for anyone to incur. They simply needed to protect their customer. I am seeking a full refund of $294.60. All communication from TicketMaster comes from ****************** NOT ***********************. The image below shows the first indication this was a fake.The response I received was "I see there is an option to accept the tickets, can you click the link?" NO! This is a fake link, and SeatGeek repeatedly attempted to get me to click it. Not only were they unhelpful, but they tried to encourage me to click a suspicious link! Once a purchase is made on SeatGeek it is unable to be canceled. Tickets sold on SeatGeek are sold by licensed ticket brokers that are fully vetted. If the ticket link did not provide the tickets to you, you would have been protected by our SeatGeek Buyer Guarantee. However, since the tickets were delivered to you and they were never accepted or attempted to be accepted this purchase is considered all sales final and no refund is available.

On 3/16 at 10:14 p.m., I purchased 2 tickets to the **** Men's Bball tournament Round 1 Session 1 in ********. My order number is: ***********. The tickets were for Section 303, Row B and cost $40 per ticket. With service charges, I paid $117.64. I received an e-mail confirmation and another e-mail that included: Because of a security policy at ****************, your tickets must be delivered to you outside the SeatGeek app. The seller of your tickets just let us know that they have transferred your tickets to you. You should now receive an email with a link to accept your tickets. To access your tickets, simply follow the instructions in that email.I never received the subsequent e-mail from the seller. Because the games were scheduled for the following day, beginning at noon, I was concerned that I did not receive the e-mail with the link for our tickets right away, and I began a conversation with the chat feature-- my only way of reaching anyone at the company-- at 11:20 p.m., I spoke with "******." That chat included the following: (8:16:29 PM) **********************************: Okay. I appreciate your help. If you can't reach the seller, will I be reimbursed for the tickets?(8:18:03 PM) ****** : I assure with our buyers guarantee.I still did not receive an e-mail from the seller, and I followed up with another chat, this time with "****," beginning at 12:06 a.m. on 3/17. **** guided me through checking Ticketmaster, but the tickets were not there. As part of the conversation, **** stated:(9:01:24 PM) **** : I appreciate your patience, I have sent an urgent request for retransfer, I will keep an eye on your order through the night, your tickets are safe, the seller sent them but for some reason not hitting your email address The tickets never arrived. At 7:27 a.m. on 3/17, I requested a refund and told my plan to get other tickets (Section 304, Row B). I chatted with "****" at 7:57 p.m. on 3/17. He said my request would be processed in 48 hours. I reached out to SeatGeek customer service on 17 March 2023 regarding an accidental purchase. Its very suspicious that you cannot contact them via phone. I reached out via their chat system, and was told that they could not assist me because everything is non refundable? I called IMMEDIATELY after it was booked. Even in the case of accidental booking, its non refundable? I am disputing the charge with my credit card company. That is criminal. There is no way to talk to anyone at this company. Order number ***********. The rep I chatted with was named *****************************. Didnt help me at all. This company is SUPER shady. I even have tickets that I purchased last week and they STILL havent given me my tickets. It looks like there were 2 authorized orders placed on your account about 12 hours apart, so this was not a SeatGeek error.
Primary and secondary ticket markets are complex, and most ticket orders cant be canceled or refunded once theyve been submitted to ensure the validity of the tickets youre purchasing. We also have a general policy that all sales are final and our tickets are non-refundable, which the agent was correct in advising you. You do have the option to resell your tickets on a secondary marketplace site in order to recoup your money back.

Seat Geek is a sleazy company. I had tickets in my checkout that I was considering buying, but I found better tickets elsewhere. Come two months later I found out they processed the tickets without my authorization. I was out around $800 for tickets to a game that I never went to. They never argued they didn't do that, but they were willing to give me a $100 credit. I don't want a credit, I'm not even asking for all of my money back, but I am asking for a reimbursement.Business Response

Our system confirms that the customer's order confirmation and fulfillment emails were issued on 8/29/22 shortly after the orders were placed, but were not opened until 10/28/2022. Furthermore our system confirms that the order was placed with an Affirm plan, which can only be completed by the user as it requires personal information and confirmation before being processed. Additionally orders can only be processed at checkout after the customer manually provides their payment information and selects "Place Order."
As it stands all evidence provided by our system confirms that this order was processed as the result of the user providing their payment information and the personal information requested by ****** and will remain all sales final. If the customer would like to dispute the Affirm loan then they will need to work with Affirm support.

I purchased a ticket for parking at *********** in ******* for *******-****** game on March 12, 2023. Approaching the parking assistant she informed me they do not honor SeatGeek tickets. The parking was $55 plus a $23 fee from SeatGeek. We had to scramble to find other parking a half mile from the stadium. The assistant informed ** that they have never accepted SeatGeek but they keep selling them. This is Fraud. I purchased two tickets to an event that was then cancelled and asked SeatGeek to issue a refund, which they did in the form of credit towards a future event. However, they also attached an expiration date to that credit and I was unable to use the funds in time. When I recently reached out to them to ask that it be extended, they told me that since it was already extended once, that they could not extent the expiration date again. The issue that I have with this is that I paid money for tickets to an event that was cancelled and I believe that I should have been issued a refund rather than a credit with an expiration date. Even my account shows that a refund was issued for the event, which it wasnt. I am bothered by the fact that SeatGeek would have been refunded for the tickets, but didnt pass that refund along to me as the consumer. Bottom line, given that the event was cancelled, SeatGeek owes me a full refund for the tickets I purchased in the amount of $91.58, and its unacceptable for that refund to be in the form of a promo code with an expiration date.Customer Answer

I purchased tickets for an event in ******* occurring March 3rd, 2023. My flight out of ****** ****** on March 1st was canceled due to weather and I could not make the event. I initially contacted Seat Geek thru the app and requested a seat swap. I was told I would receive a confirmation code to my email which I never received. I also reached out to customer service via email. **************** states they could not find the request for a seat swap but I was eligible to receive a credit. I never received the confirmation code. I have since reached out several times and the issue has not been resolved. I am out of over $800 despite following the instructions given to me. I am unable to contact anyone by phone and constantly being referred to the online chat. I was told on March 9th the issue would be expedited. It is March 15th and I still have not heard from anyone.
