I'm an insurance broker and I met my husband in 2018. In 2015 my husband's son had an accident while on his dad's policy. As a result, I am being charged a higher premium for my car insurance because of information being supplied by LexisNexis to my NEW insurance provider. My premium went from $97 a month full coverage to $110. Neither my husband nor his son are on my insurance policy (never were) because husband doesn't drive (license expired and unable to renew because of immigration status) so, how is his past insurance claim history connected to me and my insurance policy? Tried resolving this issue with the company but I am getting the run-a-round. I need a letter absolving me from this claim to send to my insurance provider (Progressive). I'm not into giving away money; not with $5 a gallon gas prices.Business Response

I recently moved from ** to ** and need to get a photo ID to cash my pension checks and federal tax check. I do not have any kind of photo ID and when I went to the *** here in ******** they told me my original birth certificate wasn't real. So I ordered one on March 4th, 2022 from the only place that I can order one from, VitalChek. I received an email saying estimated shipping would be by today and I would receive an email once it ships. I have called them and they said there is no way to expedite the order and I have not heard from them. I need a photo ID to be able to cash my checks, open a bank account, drive, etc and it is vital that I get one ASAP. Waiting over 4 months for a copy of my birth certificate is insanity and I don't know where else to turn. Please help, I can't do anything without a photo ID.Business Response

The business has given no time frame when they will respond via mail and I have already been waiting 3 months with zero word from them. I need a photo ID asap to be able to cash my paychecks and I can't get a photo ID without my birth certificate. I am being treated like an illegal immigrant. It shouldn't take this long to get a document.

LexisNexis Risk Solutions **** takes complaints from consumers extremely seriously and we have a robust process in place for resolving such matters, including a Legal review of all responses and handling by our Operations Escalated Response Team.
For Better Business Bureau (BBB) complaints, we continue to use a generic response for posting on the BBB website and a mail a more fulsome response to the consumer. We have taken this approach to safeguard consumer-specific data; the BBB has confirmed that this is the better approach.
If the consumer does not agree with the BBB website response he can then reject the case on the BBB website; however, it keeps the consumers data safe.And to reiterate, a separate letter is sent to the consumer with the specific details of the resolution.

I am filing this complaint against LexisNexis for the following three reasons: #1. This company is withholding my consumer report from me when they do not have the right to do so. I have verified all information twice, and they are required to provide me with my report expediently. I believe information within my report to be inaccurate, and I may need to file disputes. I have already waited long enough to get my report, only to receive a letter from them saying they couldn't verify my identity. Well they didn't ask any questions related to my identity other than my name and driver's license number which is accurate. They didn't ask for any piece of documentation verifying my identity. #2. This company needs to make sure they are reporting accurate addresses for me within their system. We relocated to ********** last year, and they need to make sure my contact information reads as follows: Residence Address: ************************* ****************************************************** Mailing Address: ************************* ********************************************************************** #3.I want to notate in the complaint that it is unacceptable that this company does not provide online access to consumer's reports as the three major bureaus do. They make it unjustifiably inconvenient for consumers to obtain, and therefore to dispute, any information within their report. I recently Challenged this bankruptcy account with the credit bureaus, and they informed me that they have verified this account with Lexis Nexis. I went to the courthouse, and they stated they did not verify this information with lexis nexis.Ive asked Lexis Nexis to send me the documents of which they have used personally to verify this alleged bankruptcy, Immediately Ive also demand that if lexis nexis do not have documents this bankruptcy needs to be removed from my file as it is defaming my character, and this alleged account is being reported fraudulently on my file.Under 15 U.S.C **** Section (602) A. I have been sending letter after letter to Lexis Nexis and I have sent a complaint several times through the **** about a bankruptcy that is on my credit report. I have said time and time again that it is by law Forgery of a furnisher for them to report anything to anyone on my credit report. The courthouse sent me a letter which I attached and they said they do not report bankruptcies. By law LexisNexus has no right to report this to anyone. I want this removed. I was never implying about the accuracy of the actual bankruptcy.
