I cancelled my account in March, 2024. My credit card was charged for $32.05 twice after that, on March 14, 2025 and December 15, 2024. My bank told me that BeenVerified could continue to charge my card even if I replaced my card with a new number and they could continue to do that no matter how many times I replaced my card, the only way to stop them would be to close my credit card account (which I don't want to do.) With that, we have further checked and pulled out another account using your phone number but connected to a different email address with your updated surname. This account appears to be active until 04/21/25 which was created on 12/13/22 with our $32.05 / 3 Months plan.

Prior to signing up for our services, it is required to review and agree to the terms and conditions and privacy policy. Therefore, each customer agrees to the terms of our service which includes instructions on how to cancel.
Please note that our subscriptions are not based on usage; they are recurring subscriptions that will continue to renew until a customer cancels as stated in the agreed terms.
To summarize, section 18 of the Terms and conditions state: We offer refunds, You are typically limited to receipt of a single refund per subscription. Repetitive refunds are not permitted.Moreover, in regards to the charges being made to your new replacement card, the reason why we could still bill your card (even after it was reported to be replaced) is because your issuing bank participates in transmitting/updating new card details to merchants.
This allows subscription-based companies to continue bill monthly without interruption from bank declines if the cardholder receives a new card with different account numbers, while the customer is able to still receive the service they subscribed to.Rest assured, we have issued a refund beyond a single refund in the amount of $32.05. I signed up for their trial period, they said they would notify me before the trial period ended so I could opt out and not be charged full amount of membership, they did not do that and ended up taking out ***** and change out of my account. They don't have it so you can contact them and speak with a live person, you have to email them .I emailed them 4 or 5 times. All they do is reply with a standard email stating that I no longer have that membership and to email them if I have a different account. They do not address my refund. If they had notified me ahead of the trial ending, I would have canceled! I want my money refunded! On April 8, I paid BeenVerified $1 for a Carfax report. I did not sign up for a membership. My understanding was that I was simply paying for the automobile report. On April 16, I was charged $29.99 by BeenVerified on ****** for a monthly membership. I was able to cancel the membership via chat bot but was unable to get a refund despite numberous attempts through the chat function and email. It is impossible to reach a human agent. I feel this is a scam to unwittingly lure people into coughing up money and then elude accountability with dead-end customer support systems. I'm a secior citizen on a fixed income, and I feel victimized.Business Response

This company claims to provide search services to identify unknown numbers. The results are inaccurate and they obligate you to pay a small fee of $1 to start. They have in fine print that you will be subscribed if you do not cancel but they do not give you an option to cancel the subscription. I contacted support with all information required to unsubscribe and they claim my account doesnt exist. However i was still charged weeks later. I reached out to dispute the charge with the company and they claimed once again they do not have my card or name on file but proceeded to charge me. The company is a money grab disguised as a service and will not settle any claims to cancel subscriptions. Ive been asking for weeks via email to remove my account from the subscription list but they keep giving me the run around. I have to cancel my card at this point and file a dispute because the companys support is subpar at best.Business Response

I used an introductory week, which signed me up for subscription. On 11/9/2024 i made a purchase from Been verified of $1 and was not aware that it was a subscription. 12/12/2024-12/13/25-1/13/25-2/11/25-3/11/25-4/11/25 I was not aware that i was paying $28.79 for all those 5 months.
