    I am writing to kindly request a refund for the subscription charges associated with my account (Member ID: *********, Email: ************************** Initially, I paid a $1 fee to access information about a vehicle I intended to purchase. Unfortunately, I did not fully understand the recurring subscription charges at the time of payment.I recently discovered unexpected charges of approximately $30 per month for July and August. As an international student, this amount significantly impacts my financial situation. I genuinely was not aware of these ongoing subscription fees and have not accessed or used your services since my initial inquiry about the vehicle.I would greatly appreciate your understanding and assistance in refunding these charges, considering my circumstances.     We completely understand your concerns regarding the account.

    The account was created on 03/01/25 with our $1.00 7-day trial. We were not able to see any charges for the month of July and August instead you were charged for the monthly subscription after the trial period ended 03/08/2025.

    BeenVerified wants our customers to be aware of the billing prior to creating an account with us.

    Prior to signing up for our 7-day trial, it is required to review and agree to the terms and conditions and privacy policy. Therefore, each customer agrees to the terms of our service which includes instructions on how to cancel the trial.

    Please note that our subscriptions are not based on usage; they are recurring subscriptions that will continue to renew until a customer cancels as stated in the agreed terms. In the example provided you will see the *** Billing Detail section that also provides information on how to cancel the trial and instructions on how to reach us. (Please review the attachment)

    To summarize, section 18 of the Terms and conditions state: We offer refunds, You are typically limited to receipt of a single refund per subscription. Repetitive refunds are not permitted. 

    Please be assured that the account was canceled and you were issued a refund of $61.26?. The refund was processed immediately on our end, however, please note that it may take up to 10 days for the refund to reflect on your bank statement depending on your financial institution.

    Your refund covers transactions from 03/08/25 to 04/07/25. We are unable to refund any earlier transactions from previous billing periods.

    I don't find professional to ignore a user's request and do not follow up with the request. At this point, I believe this is an intentional act of not honoring opt out request. I demand that you remove my personal information as your website has severe technical flaws and customer service is irresponsive. ******************************************************

    On March 29th, I signed up for beenverified.com to try and do a self background check and then paid a subscription for the service. Looking up reviews for the product I had realized that this business not only could be a front for data brokers looking to sell personal info on the dark web but also frequently charge their customers even after cancelling their subscription. While I am still in the process of cancelling my subscription, I will not hesitate to call my bank to dispute the charges if need be. When trying to contact the business, they only seem to have automated responses to support emails and such, which is concerning for the fact that it's possible there could be actually no human being actively operating the site outside of some select phone calls. Thus, trying to contact them through the support email on their website is ultimately kind of useless, and thus here I am filing a complaint regarding this company. I highly suggest looking into them for their shady business practices, especially when it comes to charging after possible subscription cancellations and data selling. Additionally, when adding a billing option on their website there IS NO OPTION TO REMOVE YOUR BILLING/PAYMENT METHOD, which is highly concerning.

    I paid for the monthly subscription and I could not find a single bit of accurate information on the people I was trying to look up and then I even tried looking myself up to see if theres some kind of glitch and I couldnt even find information on myself. This isnt buyers remorse. This feels like a complete scam and waste of money.

    Beenverified makes it difficult or impossible for customers to cancel their subscription. I have tried through the website and by phone and they pretend they cannot find my account. I need the subscription cancelled and refund of the monthly charges.

    Account was created out of curiosity with the $1 trial. No payment receipts or notifications given.     I have SOMEHOW been billed for a service that I have never used nor agreed to transactions with. I have know idea how they were able to "grab" my **************** account. Giving the benefit of doubt to myself, in January, I called to cancel and was told the account and transactions would cease. Well, as of today, March 11, 2025 they have continued. I called once again and this time I was more alert. The person I talked to Jimena confirmation #********* and was assured I would be ONLY reimbursed from my last transaction #*********.     I attempted to sign up for an account using a subscription trial period. After providing my credit card information, I was directed to a page to create my account. However, the site would not accept my phone number as valid, so I was unable to complete the account set-up. Since I did not have a completed account, I contacted the business via a customer service link on their webpage to request that my account be cancelled. I received an immediate message from the company stating that there were no accounts registered to my name or email. They requested a member ID etc. to verify the account - which I did not have since I was unable to complete the account set-up. At no point did the company attempt to remedy the issue with my phone number and I received a notice that I would have to be able to provide them with my credit card charge detail before they could provide additional cancellation service. The initial $1 set-up fee finally showed up on my statement this past week and I sent them the information they requested. However, they continued to charge the $32.89 subscription fee and blamed me for not adequately cancelling the account (the same account that they stated did not exist in their records). The customer service experience was absolutely horrific. I finally was able to get them to reverse the $32.89 charge, but I would like to be reimbursed for the full amount (including the $1) and for this experience to be recorded since they are likely charging others similarly.
