I receive calls during working hours, which I work at a secured facility that revokes personal phones during working hours. When I check, they call 8 times a day with more than 5 text messages a day as well. I have yet to receive any verification of debt or letter from this company regarding any debt owed and that they bought any of my debt. When I click links to review my account, it requests a reference number that isn't provided in their texts. No emails are sent to me regarding this debt, and other collections companies email or send letters prior to threats of garnishment or taking me to court. I find this suspect.Business Response

Every Month for the last year this collection agency keeps calling me leaving messages that state they are serving me with papers I call back and they state I took out a payday loan over 10 years ago, which I never did. I tell them to stop calling but they keep calling and giving the same messages. I’d like for them to stop harassing me and also know it’s not my loan and the statute of limitations in Florida is way past due on whatever they are trying to collect on. I put an image of the voicemail in the attachments. Thank you.Business Response

After a thorough review of our system, I do not have an account that matches the complainant information. I believe this complaint belongs to another agency that goes by a similar name. We also do not service pay day loans, which is the type of debt the consumer is referring to.

I called this company to ask questions because they have been leaving me voicemails about a debt they claim I owe. I called several times on 12/5 and received a very rude response. I called again today and received another very rude response. Why are these people so rude and why won’t they answer my questions if they believe I owe them? It is very dangerous to provide personal information to someone you don’t know so it is not unreasonable to ask why they are calling me.Business Response

On November 15, 2022, I noticed a fraudulent collection from UCB COLLECTIONS. I was unaware of this charge and I do not lay claim to it. The amount placed on my credit report was for $1,643. I do not have the account number or any additional information. I was not contacted or given notice prior to the charge being placed on my credit report. The charge does not belong to me and I would like to have it removed immediately. I do not have any written or verbal contracts with UCB COLLECTIONS. This charge is causing me hardship with my family and my marriage and would like it removed to alleviate any further stress.Business Response

Today, I learned my bank account was levied for unpaid state taxes. I called several times, and would be transferred to the "right" department. I waited on hold for well over an hour to get information on why my bank account was frozen. I learned that UCB sent all communications about this matter to the address I lived at over 15 years ago. If I had received these notifications, I would have been enabled to take action to prevent a levy on my entire bank account. I'm guessing that this is a standard practice for this debt collector to ensure they receive funds on collection accounts, and prevent any actions being taken to decrease the amounts they are collecting on. Until today, I wasn't aware of any collection activities by UCB or that there was a court hearing that would issue a tax warrant.Business Response
