I like so many others have repeatedly requested JG Wentworth stop communicating with me by phone, email, mail text., etc. Today, I received mail from them they will not stop. I am recovering fro a brain injury and these interactions create great anxiety and stress exacerbating my condition. I am trying BBB and then will contact lawyer for possible class action lawsuit. I have decided not to go through with the terms of the program the same day we discussed it. I haven’t signed all paperwork and have reached out to 4 different people now to make sure everything is terminated WITHIN my allotted time frame and I can’t seem to get an answer. Instead I keep getting hounded as to why I should continue with the program. I’ve respectfully declined and wish no further contact as well as making sure everything is cancelled yet I can’t seem to make sure that has happened!!Business response

I have asked J.G. Wentworth to stop contacting me for over a year. I am NOT the individual who originally contacted these clowns, my mother tried to do me a favor OVER A YEAR AGO and I spoke with a representative ONCE after MULTIPLE CALLS. I heard them out, realized it was a complete scam, and told them no thank you. A week later they were calling again trying to convince me to sell them my annuity again. All of a sudden they can offer a better deal, even after originally stating that they were already doing the absolute best they could.The only issue being IF THEY OFFERED ME $50,000 AT 0% INTEREST TODAY I WOULD NOT BE INTERESTED. I JUST WANT THE CALLS, MAIL, AND TEXT MESSAGES TO STOP! I HAVE ASKED MULTIPLE TIMES, THROUGH MULTIPLE DIFFERENT AVENUES. I EVEN MAILED A HAND WRITTEN LETTER. THEY WILL NOT STOP CALLING, MAILING (TO AN ADDRESS I HAVENT LIVED AT IN OVER 10 YEARS) AND TEXTING ME!!!I do not want to waste my money on an attorney, but I know it is illegal to continue to solicit someone who has made it known they do not want your services. If this issue persists, I will do more than file a formal complaint.Thank you.Business response

This company has been calling both of my numbers ************ and ************ emailing me and also mailing me documents and stuff to my home and I don't know how they got my new address but they keep sending me correspondence and I told them to stop over and over in the last time I told them this was two weeks ago ... They also been sending me mail in my maiden name and I don't know how they got this that's stalking.. I did record the phone call for proof.. today I received mail again from them and I don't have any type of business with these people at all so I don't understand why they keep contacting me even loud and said that I was referred by someone and what I asked him the person's name they gave my eldest son's name and it's a lie. They also been harassing him the same way. I want them to leave me alone I don't want any mail from them I don't want another phone call from them my next step will be filing harassment charges if this does not stop and I did tell them this 2 weeks ago..Business response

This has been an ongoing thing for a couple of years they'll tell me that I won't get any more correspondence and then here we Go again them calling my phone from different phone numbers and sending me unwanted contact even in my maiden name which is ******... I have called them several times and I have proof that I've called these people and told them... Then the representative have the nerve to say oh we're not trying to steal your money like what are you talking about what money? Even line on my family member like he referred me not knowing that that is my oldest son and it's a lie... They have been harassing him also.. they always say that I might get a couple of contacts after a stop contact order from the customer which is me and then it happens again..Business response

JG Wentworth somehow found out about the sale of an annuity. They signed me up for communication via their website against my will. They sent a contract via ******** to me, called me to question me about the sale and then sent paperwork via ***** to my home that they didn’t even have the address for. I don’t appreciate being harassed by a company for my decision to sale an annuity through another company.Business response

Everyday I receive an email from a different name, from different email addresses soliciting me for debt relief. I block the contact and delete because I wasn't sure if it’s a virus. I completed a transaction with JG Wentworth well over a decade ago. Ever since then I receive emails, phone calls, and post cards trying to entice me to make another deal with them. I am sick of it. I have made my feelings clear on numerous occasions. At first I politely declined offers. Then I started more forcefully telling them that I am not interested and if that changed I would contact them, but I didn't want to receive any further communications. Recently Account Executive Sam B****** has been continuing the pattern of unwelcome contact. I tried being extremely rude in hopes that would finally get the message across, but today I received yet another email. I am at wit's end with these folks. I never want to hear from this company again, can you please help?Business response

I quit my job on 2/2021 and joined Jg Wentworth to help me with paying my bills. I kept my end of the bargain and paid JG wentworth sometimes two to three times. They get from me $250.00 . In april was told I would get a new negotiation, then they said in the month of may. They i was told I need more money in escrow. I currently have have $1,154.59 in escrow and they are getting from on friday another $250.00. I have four accounts still waiting to be negotiated, and two accounts are prelegal. I asked if they can settle one or both of the accounts in prelegal and was told that I need more funds in escrow, and it is a 17 month program. I was told if I paid more money I can finish with the program. I have a new job and pay jgwentworth on time, and also it is affecting my credit score and my credit.Business response
