      They denied my claim. It is a ****** STI 2019. I buyed a ****** on December last year with a Dealership. This dealership sold me a warranty with CARS PROTECTION. The car already comes with some modifications which is an exhaust and more.But the dealership said that there were no problem with warranty and if the engine or transmission blow up they (warranty) will cover, also other things but most important is engine and transmission. On July the engine broke down and I put it into a shop and they contacted the warranty. They said that they will be covering everything but not labor and they requested the shop open the engine and we agree because they said that they will help us to cover. The problem was an internal oil bomb. It wasnt me problem to that thing fail. But when the shop was trying to contact them was hard work because always put them on Hold. After 3 weeks they call the shop just to say NO, WE WILL NO COVERAGE THE CAR DUE TO MODS. I buy the car as is and I do have pictures and reports. The dealership said that the warranty company were aware because they accepted to cover my car. I tried to call the warranty many times but they no answer the phone. My car has 3 months on the shop already

      The CARS Protection ********* (CARS) ************************ is in receipt of your BBB review and responds as follows:CARS apologizes if you were misinformed, but when the selling car dealership electronically entered your *************** Contract (VSC), they did NOT notify CARS that your 2019 ********************** (Vehicle) was modified beyond manufacturer specifications. The *** that the selling car dealership purchased on behalf of your Vehicle did NOT provide coverage to vehicles modified outside of manufacturer specifications and this information is stated clearly in the Terms and Conditions at Provisions 3. (d.) and 4. (g.): 3. COMPONENTS AND EXPENSES NOT COVERED (Applies to all SCHEDULE OF COVERAGE levels): d. We do not provide any coverage for Vehicles modified or altered AT ANY TIME beyond original manufacturers specifications with or without Your knowledge, including but not limited to the following modifications: WHEELS/TIRES (not to manufacturers specifications unless Your Vehicle has been classed under EXTRA ELIGIBILITY Oversize Tires Coverage); lift kits (unless Your Vehicle has been classed under EXTRA ELIGIBILITY Lift Kit Coverage); lowering kits; emission/exhaust; and engine. AND 4. PROVISIONS OF THE SERVICE CONTRACT: g. If, at any time, it is determined Your Vehicle is altered or modified from original manufacturers specifications, We would consider this a material misrepresentation, unless Your Vehicle has been classed under EXTRA ELIGIBILITY for the specific alteration and/or modification. Upon discovery, We will cancel ************ Contract per the CANCELLATION PROVISIONS. On July 17, 2025, a repair facility opened a mechanical claim on behalf of your Vehicle and during the adjudication of the mechanical claim CARS was notified that your Vehicle is modified beyond manufacturer's specification; therefore, your VSC was cancelled effective August 12, 2025. If they have not done so already the selling car dealership is responsible for issuing the available refund due to either you or your lender. CARS hopes this information was helpful.       Process was fairly easy but coverages are still a question for me. As a person with mechanical skills I know that you should not replace just one coil spring or strut on a vehicle. The coverages however only paid to replace 1 of the springs on my 2012 F150.

      The CARS Protection ********* (CARS) ************************ is in receipt of your BBB review and responds as follows:A repair facility opened a mechanical claim on behalf of the vehicle on August 4, 2025, advising the concerns were pcv and upper timing cover leaks. During the processing of the claim, the repair facility advised the leak was coming from the oil separator. Per the Terms and Conditions of the vehicle service contract, the oil separator is not listed for coverage; therefore, CARS was unable to offer any assistance with the claim.CARS hopes this information is helpful to your inquiry.       I had to take my 2020 Jeep gladiator to the dealership last week all my warning lights and came on four-wheel-drive stopped working assisted breaking stopped working much other things dealership diagnosed the problem. Send it to the warranty company was approved in like 10 minutes. I had my truck back in a few hours

      Transmission went out on my 2015 Chevrolet Suburban at ******* miles. Took vehicle to dealer that I purchased it from and they worked with CARS and I got a new Transmission. I bought the vehicle with ******* miles and I'm glad I got the CARS warranty.

      Worse than car shield??When its time to file a claim for repairs this company will deny your claim. They just want your money, please do not waste your money or time.(********) was extremely hostile unprofessional and rude! (****) the dummy supervisor is a habitual liar and he talks in circles I suspect hes a scammer for the company (*****) wasnt any help I suspect these are a team of fraudsters?????? I hope this place gets busted #CARSNOTPROTECTED #PLUS you get scammed out of your hard earned money????????

      The CARS Protection ********* (CARS) ************************ is in receipt of your BBB review and responds as follows:On May 23, 2025, you purchased a *************** Contract (VSC) with an effective date of June 22, 2025, and an effective mileage of *******.On May 28, 2025, a repair facility opened a mechanical claim on behalf of your 2016 *** 4 Series 435i Gran Coupe (Vehicle) stating the engine was cutting off at operating temperature. The repair facility requested a fuel pump and fuel pressure sensor. CARS claims adjuster explained that your VSC had a waiting period and that issues that occurred prior to the effective date and mileage of your VSC are not covered. On June 24, 2025, a repair facility opened a mechanical clam on behalf of your Vehicle for the same Vehicle issue reported on the May 28, 2025 mechanical claim. This mechanical claim was denied as well because the failures occurred prior to the effective date and mileage of your VSC. Also on June 24, 2025, you called CARS and during several phone calls, you expressed that you were upset that CARS would not cover the failures, stating you had waited to return the Vehicle to the repair facility for the repairs until after your VSC became effective. CARS representatives explained that you could not do that and that issues that occurred prior to the effective date and mileage of your VSC are not covered. CARS has reviewed the mechanical claims and determined they were correctly denied according to the Terms and Conditions of your VSC. Please see your VSC at Provision 3. (b.): 3. COMPONENTS AND EXPENSES NOT COVERED (Applies to all SCHEDULE OF COVERAGE levels): b. Pre-Existing Condition(s) and failures during the Validation Period are not covered under any circumstances.CARS strives to provide excellent customer service and apologizes that you feel you were treated poorly by a CARS employee.       So far, my experience has not been good. We bought the plan thru the dealer in May and still have not received any documentation. I have sent several emails and left messages on their phone system. Nothing back as of 6-22-25. If you call and try to talk to someone you are just left on hold. I hope to hear back soon, or I will have to start the complaint process.

      The CARS Protection Plus Inc. (“CARS”) Customer Care Department is in receipt of your BBB review and responds as follows:
      CARS apologizes that you did not receive a copy of your Vehicle Service Contract (“VSC”). It is the responsibility of the car dealership that sold you the VSC to provide you with a complete copy of your VSC at the time of purchase. CARS is unable to provide you with a copy via response to a BBB Review; however, CARS has sent a copy of your VSC via email to your email address on file.
      CARS apologizes for the inconvenience caused by experiencing long hold times when contacting CARS; hold times fluctuate depending on call volume. CARS responds to voicemails and emails in the order they are received, and on June 17, 2025, a CARS customer service representative called you and left a message.
      CARS has reviewed your contract and can see that since the date you left the BBB Review, a repair facility contacted CARS and opened a mechanical claim on behalf of your Vehicle, and CARS has spoken to an individual who contacted CARS on your behalf several times.

      I had to replace my battery three times in two years and kept telling my dealership that it had to be an electrical problem. Eventually they discovered that the *** was faulty and replaced it thanks to C.A.R.S. I also needed three of the four tire sensors replaced and that was approved as well. I'm very happy with the responses from this company.
