      I am a young person, 21 years old at the time of renting with Greystar. This was my first lease ever with two roommates.. All in all the experience during the rental was decent, but halfway through our lease, they refused to accept payments from multiple different accounts and would only allow lump sum payments. They ended up sending our rent skyward for our month to month rent after sending notice to vacate, which might just end up leading towards an eviction that could've been avoided had this company had any sort of humanity. Don't come here for any rental, especially not your first.

      Upon moving out I was not told a timeline of when to expect the final invoice. I checked my email regularly and never received anything, often wondering when I would receive the final word about damages/amount due after moving in. The apartment ultimately sent a threatening email to my parents saying if I don't pay immediately I would be sent to collections. The emails that I hadn't received all went to my spam because they were from a random email address. (First red flag) After reading the email I realized this apartment only gives you 7 days to pay the amount for move-out/ damages they've assessed before sending you to collections. This seems completely unreasonable to me. I was alerted of the email after they sent one to my parents and they caught it in their spam folder after 9 days. So I was 2 days past that 7-day ***** I find it extremely odd that a business would only give you 7 days to pay after no timeline awareness or phone call... nothing. Seems very crookish. After inspecting the photos I also came to the conclusion that they put trash in my sink and took a photo... Nothing was left in my sink, yet in the photo they provided there was trash in it. This is a very dishonest company.

      BEWARE AND STAY AWAY: GREYSTAR OWNED APARTMENTS. I moved from this place last year and Greystar (having just purchased the place) is one of those parasitic evil companies that prey on the poor and less fortunate. The apartment upon move in was disgusting, hvac filthy, mold in the bathroom, a terrible MOUSE INFESTATION and they had the audacity to try and charge me over $1700 ON TOP OF LOSING THE SECURITY DEPOSIT UPON MOVEOUT. With all complete BS charges and THE ***** LOOKED BETTER THAN UPON MOVE IN.. After threatening litigation they changed it to $200..even after still taking the security deposit and following **** move out stipulations. If I hadn't moved out of state i would have put them through the ringer. INCREDIBLY shady place. Do not get trapped by this horrible parasite of a company and expect a whopping bill regardless upon moveout! KEEP RECORD OF EVERYTHING AND DONT LET THEM TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU.

      I was retaliated against and given a notice to vacate, due to a situation with the lady in the front office named ******. The situation had nothing to do with her initially. Her daughter caused damages to my vehicle, i was so kind an willing to work with her, instead of doing what is right I received a knock at my door with a notice to vacate. I did absolutely nothing wrong. This lady ****** is front office staff, therefore she used & is using her position of power and took a situation that had nothing to do with The ******* luxury apartments or greystar companies and tried to have me evicted. I spoke to the property manager ****** as well as regional manager ****** and she is still allowed to live on the property, although she has violated so many rules as an employee and tenant. I do not feel safe. She violated the things that were in the notice to vacate that, I received maliciously & fraudulently and yet she is not facing any consequences. Management stated ****** would have to vacate for breaking the rules, and may face termination. Then I was told the next day that her daughter ( who damaged my vehicle) will be banned from the property. However it is not her daughter who retaliated against me, to have me improperly evicted. The culprit ****** is still working ********** I feel unsafe, she has my personal information, keys to my unit and I am now being watched when I did nothing wrong . Why would greystar want a individual like that working for them soon as Management switched a few months ago things have been horrible. I'm only speaking of ******, ****** and ******, unfortunately I am the victim but being a black woman voicing my concerns to white women I get shunned away and cut off, and seem as a threat. It's sad.
