My thermostat is reading 82 degrees right now, and it's 86 degrees outside. It even seems cooler outside because there's at least a breeze. I've been calling about multiple maintenance issues since I've moved in during Oct 2021, but have had very poor or no help at all. They've just changed management, and are now saying that they have no record of the service request or repairs that I have reported or that they've come to address. I've asked to bring my own AC specialist, and they said that if I did that, I would be responsible for the cost. Not only is my AC broken, but when my stove burners were malfunctioning and still running on high heat even when set to low, they didn't replace it, even if that could be a potential fire hazard. There have been multiple police incidents here as well, because of burglaries and, people being held at gunpoint in building 6. The management has not addressed any of these things, but they have no problem taking my rent out every 1st of the month. I've never been late on rent, but this is not a money issue. This is about the quality of life for my family and I.

Horrible management, have waiting more than 21 days(more already) for our refundable deposit, tried calling them at every hour of the day and they can never have a human pick up always a computer and when you call bay court( the apartment they own) they say "they can't do anything about it " you would think for such a big company they would actually have money but they're concerned about stealing other peoples money. ******** never will rent from them again.

I moved into Desert Shadows Apartments in 2020. It was a *********** property and they were amazing. My rent was $1050 for a 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment. It wasn't up to date and had many issues but I couldn't argue because it was $1050 a month for a great location. Year two my rent went up to $1100 but that was fair. They allowed me to have a dog and I could overlook the things that I'd mentioned to property management (like the outlets in both bedrooms were not connected to wall switches. My refrigerator went out and they replaced it with a smaller refrigerator. They didn't bother offering to help me with the food that went bad. I could overlook the little things that bothered me for $1100 When Greystar took over the first thing they did was raise my rent up to $1575 per month. They didn't explain that rent was **** and there was a $50 water and gas fee, and a $25 trash fee. The property has a trash collection service that comes to the door. All I saw on the renewal letter was $**** for 14 months.I went to the manager of the property and she decreased my rent to $1404. I signed, thinking my rent was going to be $1404. They didn't tell me that didn't include the $75 fee. My bad, I signed but it knocked about $6 off my rent. Shortly after I asked my neighbors about their rent as well as new renters. Most were paying $1100-$1200.Shortly after signing I lost my job. I found another job in ********** (300 miles away). Greystar let me out of the lease but made me give 60 days notice. When I did that, they changed me to month to month and raised the rent to $1800 per month. They gouged someone who is unemployed $800 per month. Their front office staff says it's a Greystar policy and they don't have the power to change it. The regional manager blew me off and directed my complaint to the manager of the property, who was really sweet but it was obvious her hands were tied. An $850 increase to someone who lost their job and had to relocate is excessive.

I live at ****************** a Greystar Community. I am absolutely disgusted and angry. My bathtub keeps filling with sewage water. It happened once while my BABY was taking a bath! My baby has a life threatening disease called cystic fibrosis (CF) it affects his lungs, pancreas and GI system. **** has repeatedly brushed me off. They had called plumbers but every single one of them has just run the bath water, watch it drain then say, looks fine to me. The sewage ***** up from the drain and fills my tub, then slowly drains leaving a disgusting grime behind. This happens almost every night and **** refuses to help me. I cant get ahold of Greystar to complain. Dont come here. The grounds are full of dog ****, trash, the pipes are bad and the leasing office is unhelpful, uncaring and simply dont care.

The worst managed community I have ever lived in. Ownership does a great job on the physical aspect of the community but management is unprofessional, rude, unapproachable, ineffective and a big negative which outweighs the benefits of location and layout.

I ended up homeless and this apartment complex will not give me my money back . They are the ones who were helping me step by step to pay for an apartment and after they knew we were 6 people they said in the beginning I can get a 2 bed room then they said no . To make a long story short they did I would get my application and deposit money back whick was $250+45+45 whick makes $340 this is not ok I have went so many times in person and called left messages even emailed and when someone does answer me they say the same thing Everytime the manger is sick they will email her and get back to me it's now 7 months later and still no answer back

Horrible place to live and the management is awful. I moved into an apartment sixes ridge ********* in July 2022. Since I moved in the upstairs tenets have been horrible to deal with. They dont work, home all the time and all you eat is the non-stop sound of stomping, slamming , jumping and god knows what else. I talked to the tenants 2 times to tell them to stop, reported them 4 times to to management and still no resolution. We work from home so the non stop stomping all day long is interfering with our job. As of today I was told that ok they will let us move into an apartment like ours another building but we need to give 30 days notice and pay ****** transfer fee. Yeah thats not happening. Why should we move when they have been given several warnings. Im trying to get with corporate if nothing happens law suit time

I would like to share my experience with Paseo on University for anyone who is thinking about applying for a residence there. Before applying I looked into the available units that they had and three different representatives confirmed that they had their 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom units available, not just to me, but also to my roommate that was applying as well. We decided to go forward with the application on July 23, 2022 and paid the $312.35 dollars total for the application. That same day as soon as I applied I gave a call to the leasing office to confirm with them that I had already paid my application for the 2 bedroom 2 bathroom, to which they told me that that unit was not available. I explained to them that three different associates had confirmed to me that they did have it available but as soon as I paid they apparently did not have any more. They initially told me a refund check would be issued in 2 - 6 weeks to my home address, and there was nothing else that could be done. It is currently September 29, 2022, almost three months after my initial request for my refund check and I have not received my refund back from them despite having gone to the leasing office in Tempe multiple times and I have talked to the manager in person. The manager mentioned that they issued the refund check back September 1st almost 5 weeks after the day I asked for my money back, but I have not seen any check from them. Every time that I go they tell me that they will give me a call back, which they never do, and I am forced to go in person each time and they have not been able to resolve this and they tell me that once they find out what happened to the check they will have to re-send a new one and that will take another 2-6 weeks. Horrible experience I would not recommend this place to any one.

This is regarding the North Hill Apartments managed by Greystar Worldwide, LLC. I mentioned on the North Hill Facebook that their new "state of the art fitness center" has not been completed yet and if they could please fix the HVAC in the current working fitness center, since I brought it to their attention over a week prior. They have blocked me from their Facebook. It can be frustrating as a current tenant to see them post about their new amenities (such as the fitness center and pool) and know that both of these items are not completed or open yet. We are extremely LUCKY to have received orders elsewhere. I would never rent from a Greystar property again after seeing how they have handled their current tenants and the takeover. After going to the Greystar Facebook page, I can clearly tell that I am not the only tenant that has issues at their managed properties. Just save yourself the hassle. Don't rent here.
Cost of living in current condition apartments is too high. Rent has been raised over 50% in the four years that I have lived here, with no value gained. I live in an un-renovated apartment (the previous tenant was there for 10 years, and it was not renovated between their departure and my move in date) and there is no incentive from the management staff to stay when there are over 15 apartments that are sitting empty in the complex. The takeover between the two companies was extremely poor, waited until 2 days before rent was due on July 1st to set up the resident portal. This should have been completed the second week of the takeover. The response time from the new management company is dismal. Took them over 20 days to respond with a renewal lease that should have been signed May 31st and when we received it it was SIGNIFICANTLY more than what we were anticipating and quoted from the previous management company. If this was the rent we were quoted originally, we would have moved. They have literally backed us into a lease.
