    Mercury Financial LLC has held my credit card application in suspended animation for more than 2 months. BY LAW: Once a creditor has obtained all the information it normally considers in making a credit decision, the application is complete and the creditor has 30 days in which to notify the applicant of the credit decision.They refuse to send an official letter of denial, which is what I need to submit to Credit Karma for the $50 Karma Guarantee. I have called numerous times to request the status only to be told that the application is under review. I received a hard inquiry on my credit report when I applied. That hard inquiry affects my credit rating. I took the hit because I applied under the "Credit Karma Guarantee" and with that "guarantee" of approval or paid $50, if denied, it was a win-win for me.Mercury is scamming by holding applications in suspended animation indefinitely to prevent the required official notice of denial from being sent.I simply need the official letter of denial.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    I informed Mercury that the utility bills are in my husband's name and they told me that was OK and to submit it. It is a blatant lie for them to state they sent multiple emails and received no reply. I submitted the bill twice withmy address just as requested and I have the emails to prove it. I spoke to **** several times reiterating what I was told. Each time I called I was informed the application was still under review. They are NOW just providing an "Unable to Verify" letter only as a result of the complaint. 

    It is just a tactic to avoid sending the required document. I will be reporting them to other agencies as well.

    This company is charging interest at the time of purchase anything with this card. They do not wait until the end of your state period. I'm not even sure this practice is legal in the *************. They are costing me hundreds of dollars a month. Even if you pay the balace of a purchase the same day you used the card you still get charged interest. I'm extremely upset about this. No other card I have operates this way. I need to know if this policy is even legal.

    I am rejecting this response because:
    I was never advised by mailed paperwork of said changes. You market your card to low income individuals. Then you make it impossible for anyone to be able to pay charges off. I have a 100% on time, more then the minimum balance, payment history on everything. You also held returned funds for over 10 days in pending so you could accrue maximum interest on those charges.I watched for an entire month. Same day return on all but one purchase.

    Your response is totally unacceptable.

    I got an incorrect balance with Mercury Credit ************* This balance was incorrect and **** try reaching out to this company with me to express that we have resolved matter. I got the whole conversation recorded that took place Sep 6th 2024 for 16 minutes and 7 seconds. **** employee talk with Mercury employee and let them know that I no longer owe them money because matter was resolved. Mercury still continues to ignore this. I will get **** to send them letter once I return this rental. Glad I didnt use Mercury card for this reservation. I shouldve listened to reviews before letting my mother who was trying to boost score to 800 credit score before buying house. So we was only using this card to get score increase. I will file complaint in court if this last attempt to resolve this matter doesnt work. I should have a zero balance with mercury and I know I actually paid them more than I was supposed to try to show them Im a man of my word. You look into both me and my finances and see we dont have money issues. Shes in her early 70s and was looking forward to purchasing her dream house with just a simple Sun/moon room. This has made everything stressful. Mast last attempt will be to get **** on phone with Mercury again and maybe get **** to send letter saying I dont owe them money. If I owe **** money I wouldnt be able to rent vehicle. Im in wheelchair so this issue is beyond stressful. Because Im already dealing with other life and health issues. To only be dealing with Mercury fraudulent system. Mercury system doesnt knows how to release holds or temporary deposits. Look at reviews from many others and you will see we all have the same or similar complaints.

    Avis told them to allow dispute because the local office had already send it to corporate. Mercury keep saying they can’t dispute it and Avis is on recording saying this to Mercury employees

     Mercury is saying anything in response. I had them on phone with Avis. Avis ask that charges be disputed because accounts in question has already been sent to corporate. If they call Avis, Avis will tell them the same thing.

    The ************ laws apply to debt incurred prior to active duty service; however, there are 3 Key Provisional states that extend the 6% interest cap to debt incurred while in active duty and those are **, OH and **.     I have been making my card payments on the first before midnight this one was made at 5pm and I have been charged a late fee again. This is occurring almost monthly and needs to be stopped. I recieve va disability on the 1st or before based on when days fall and I pay my bill on time.

    My husband and I both have a credit card with Mercury, individual accounts. I have permission to speak with Mercury on his behalf. Now, they are saying I don't but when I go through a supervisor they say I have permission. They have caused me to get behind $747.95 in payment. They call all the time and ask for me but will not speak to me about his account. I spoke with **** today and requested a supervisor and he told me there was not one available. I asked if he was denying my right to speak with a supervisor. He said one is not available. I told him they have more than one. He put me on hold for several minutes then came back and told me see I told you no supervisor is available. I explained I can't sit here on the phone all day because I am at work. Nothing changed. I need help. Part of struggling also is I have battled covid and not working.

    Hello,I continue to be charged interest when I pay my statement balance in full by the due date. I recently had a balance transfer to pay off this card because they have become so horrible. ***** shows the balance transfer was completed on the 4th, however this credit card company, Mercury didn't post the payment until the 8th. This isn't the first time they post payments late (intentionally) as I scheduled a payment through their website, received a confirmation email back, and they posted on the 8th again, when my payments are due on the 7th. I just want the interest removed as the late posting of payments is clearly an issue for this company. I have attached the image from my email confirming my payment arrangement. They did remove the interest fee for this payment issue, but they say since they removed this fee (it was their fault) they will NOT remove the next fee, when they posted the payment late from the balance transfer. Please help.

    I am rejecting this response because: ************ has repeatedly posted payments AFTER the due date when proof was provided of payments made before the due date. I made scheduled a payment on their website for the payment to be made on the due date and they intentionally posting it after the date of the scheduled payment.  Email proof was sent. They are assessing fees fraudulently! I made a balance transfer with another company to pay this card off. That card said it posted on the 4th,  Mercury didn't post payment until the 8th, conveniently one day after the due date AGAIN. Scammers!!! So convenient to always post payments late after they sit on the funds gaining interest.

    On June 18, 2024, Mercury Financial conducted a hard pull on my Transunion credit. I have never done business with this company. I have no knowledge and did not authorize this credit pull. I am reporting it as erroneous and fraudulent.
